It's been a few years since I've had to go into a bank and cash a check but it has never been a fun experience. Since I'm an adult, nobody understands why I can't just deposit it into my bank and normally bank tellers will make me feel like a complete loser because I don't have a bank account and then they will push a bank account on me hard-core they will ask me for five pieces of ID fingerprint before they cost find charge me to cash app but it's the Teylar does it do it for me!

It took a long time to open the account and the young lady I worked with said to be sure to follow up, because the bonuses don't always come through. Six months later, four months after the bonus was supposed to be awarded, I went in to close the account. No bonus. The man I spoke to was much more interested in identifying who helped me the first time so he could be angry at the correct coworker. No apology, just a promise to escalate it, coded as bank error and get me the promised money within two weeks. A month passed by, no money, so I went in to close the account today. The employee said she didn't understand why I didn't bring in the flyer. Perhaps her theory was that the third time was the charm. I assured her that I had brought in all the paperwork twice already and that I wasn't at fault. She was snippy, but got it done in her second attempt. Everyone I spoke with there was incompetent and rude. The first rule of customer training is -- apologize. They never got the message. Terrible experience all around.

Because of that, I tolerated all kinds junk fees, hassles, and nonsense, all because I was so glad to have the safe deposit box. Well guess what? After just a couple of years, they told me that they are just stealing back all the safe deposit boxes anyway. If I had known they were going to do that, I never would have paid all those junk fees to stay with Chase, plus I never even got a prorated refund for the rent I had already put toward the box. This is a brazen scam, and I will be submitting it to a class action law firm.

I knew that any wire transfers that do not get sent past 2:30pm on a Friday get sent Monday. I walked into the branch and told them I wanted to wire transfer $60,000 to my brokerage account, to buy stocks. I played a shell game for over an hour where the bank tellers pretended to be ignorant about how to send a wire transfer. I even called my brokerage on the phone and had him explain all the details to the bank teller and it was excuse after excuse. After finally threatening to close all my accounts and saying, "if you don't get this wire transfer by today, I'm walking out of this bank today with $60,000 in cash." The teller finally decided to stop playing dumb and wire transfer my money. I was respectful throughout this HOUR ordeal (not waiting, they were just pretending to be stupid to not send the money). They even threatened to call the cops on me because I raised my voice and said "IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A WIRE TRANSFER FOR OVER AN HOUR AND NOBODY CAN FIGURE THIS OUT!?" They tried to wait past the deadline so the bank got my interest over 3 more days. Onpoint, after this situation, I have opened an account with Sofi, where I can wire transfer without human interaction. If you don't put customers first, you will lose customers.
