Once seated, we did not get service in a timely manner. The three beverages, red sangria, white sangria, and gin and tonic, were not even drinkable. These were some of the worst beverages I have ever had. I am glad we ate prior to arriving. We have had pleasant experiences in the past, but this last Thursday made me not want to come back.

The ball collector was on the range and was driving around with a full collection bin of balls. Such a simple problem to solve. He has balls, I could have empty bucket waiting for a refill on tee box. It might require staff to get off their butt to ensure I get the balls. A situation that might take 5 minutes. Alas, the staff is too lazy. They'd rather turn a customer away who drove 10 minutes to get to the course than get off their lazy butts for 5 minutes.

Take a wedge (no sand here), a putter and maybe a 5 iron, and you're set for the whole course. Don't expect tranquility and manicured greens: the place is right by 44, and I wouldn't be surprised if they use Nanny Goat rather than John Deere in their upkeep. They light up the course at night, they look the other way if you have more beer than balls in your bag, and I've witnessed 2 hole-in-one's on the 6th hole. A good time will be had by all.

I recently paid $25 to walk on a weekend morning. -Walking allowed and it's easy to walk, no long green-tee walks. -Not very crowded, especially Sunday mornings when the locals are in church. Accordingly, pace is usually quick. -Greens and aprons/fringes are in great condition. Bunkers are fair. Cons: -Fairways are in spotty condition, lots of weeds, bare patches, random tufts of grass in bare areas, etc. Whatever chemicals and/or seed they use on the last 30-40 yards going into the greens, they don't use on the rest of the fairway. -Tees aren't much better, but who cares, you are teeing it up anyway.

Lots of TVs to watch football or your golf game. Beautiful setting and have even seen turkeys hanging out. The food is great we have tried a little bit of everything. One of my favorite things is the price! Getting a lane is no problem and if you want to have some extra fun you can add some time to your lane. Not something easily done at the bigger golf centers. We have been back a few times and look forward to trying the indoor part when the weather is not a nice.
