Older style but decent clinic. In my opinion it doesn't need the newest fixtures to have good…read moredoctors. It's clean and tidy. Front waiting room has a area for kids and a table full of reading materials. Most I ever wait is half hour when it's really busy (compared to most walk-in clinics, this is a short waiting time before speaking with the doctor). I'm not sure if they're taking any new patients at the moment but it's worth asking if you feel you've had enough going to rotating doctors at walk-ins or are not being listened to at other clinics (you are your biggest advocate for your health after all!). I was lucky to be referred here on behalf of a friend who was a long time patient, as is her family. My doctor is no stranger to dealing with patients with chronic pain issues and I get the feeling from the patient demographics that the other doctor is very knowledgeable too. I can honestly say that I'm impressed that my doctor also takes the time to ask the hard questions, to see how are you handling things in work and life. There's very few days I feel rushed through the appointment but I also warn the receptionist as I book if I think things will need more time for the next visit too. I really hope the changes that all AB doctors are facing this year doesn't affect this clinic. I can honestly say, 15 min barely gets into my full summary of things/updates for her and usually my shortest time there is a half hour. Most times we go past that and I'm very grateful that she gives me that time. There is no debit/credit machine here. So if you need forms filled out or have other services not covered by health care, then you need to bring cash or cheque. There's a bank across the parking lot that is a good back up if you have no idea what the fee will be. It is also tricky calling in to make appointments as the phone hours are reduced and no voicemail option. I always make my next appointment before I leave (I'd rather have to cancel/postpone than be stressed trying to get through to make an appointment). There is also no after hours/weekend times that I know of here. The latest appointment is usually mid afternoon. Parking lot is huge and even if you're not right up by the clinic, there's lots of other space as it's part of a larger strip mall area. Shoppers Drugmart is in the same parking lot in case you use that drugstore for your prescriptions/don't want to drive all the way to your regular location. There's a gender neutral washroom at the back but nothing fancy by any means. In summary a good doctor is worth the driving distance and I'm glad I have her on my medical team to get me mobile.

NP Shawn Sandhu is my current medical practitioner. I have been most impressed, and appreciative…read moreof, his attention to detail and follow up consultations. He reviews lab / diagnostic reports in a timely manner and explains treatment options. Consultations, in person or phone, are never rushed. Having been without a medical practitioner since the retirement of my long time family MD four years ago, it is very comforting to have such a dedicated medical professional in my corner.

*****I raised these concerns during a phone call, but instead of addressing them, "Pat" (Office…read moreassistant to Dr. Mosherchak and Chan) (780-701-5518) responded with "thank you" and hung up. Since approximately 2018, I have experienced ongoing difficulty reaching the clinic by phone after a longstanding pattern of not receiving callbacks after leaving voicemail messages. Calls frequently go unanswered, and voicemail messages are often not returned. This has been a consistent pattern over several years, resulting in limited ability to reliably contact the clinic regarding patient care concerns. On the occasions I have reached "Pat" (office assistant), I have been told she is busy. However, when I attend the clinic in person she has not appeared to be occupied with patient related tasks and has instead been conversing with staff or not engaged in work at the front desk. I have spoken to other patients that attend this clinic and they have the same complaints and find it highly annoying. This creates a barrier to accessing care and communicating with the office. Based on my experience, patients should be aware of communication challenges when dealing with this clinic.

After being in the medical field for many years I can honestly say I do NOT recommend this clinic…read more I lived out of country for over 14 years to come back to the apidimi of socialized medicine. I chose Kensington medical clinic. At first, I thought I had made a good choice. Over time, I have learned I did not. At Kensington, I feel you are treated like cattle...get em in...get em out! You are lucky if you actually get 15 minutes with your doctor and still at best accomplish nothing. My doctor at Kensington forgets what tests (labs, X-rays etc she sent me for and to boot.,,NO FOLLOW up whatsoever. Her assistant is as phony as a two dollar bill! She's rude, abrupt and in my opinion a liar! I became quite ill and am still recovering. Over the worst part of my illness, WCB, my employer and insurance company sent many requisitions to my doctor and would contact me weeks after stating that they had sent required documentation 2-3 times with no response. I contacted my doctor assistant to inquire and she advised me in no uncertain terms that they have not received anything from these entities. I call all these people back and was emailed the fax transmission sheets and asked to confirm the fax number. I called Kensington again and spoke with my doctor's assistant and she confirmed the number and again in an abrupt tone, stated no documents have been received. I then advised her that I had copies of the transmission slips. She says "hang on, I'll go look one more time". It's a miracle she comes back and advised we just received it or I'm sorry, we just received it yesterday. I notified the companies who said "not us, we sent on this date, the date etc. Definitely not yesterday etc. This has not been the first time this assistant has been rude or lied to me. I had a prescription refill request sent twice from Costco and each time was told by the assistant she had not received it and was very abrupt stating it takes a week for the doctor to review and respond. Wow! Costco also confirmed they sent the request twice and sent again while we were on the phone. A few days later I received a call from the pharmacy stating they just now received the response from the doctor and would rush it out to me. Fees on doctors notes are outrageous. The insurance company requested a physician something or other to which Kensington charged me $195.00 which took about 6 minutes to fill out. I was grateful they filled it out immediately in front of me and gave me some grace period to pay as I was on short term disability and received only enough to cover my rent...not even extra to put gas in the car or cover a majority of monthly expenses. Not their problem...I get it. Here's my opinion...if you are a patient looking for a physician who truly cares about you and your healthcare...please do not go the Kensington. I am currently looking for a new doctor. As for the assistant...my opinion is she really needs to look in the mirror and consider a job change. People and honesty are not her forte. At Kensington I feel you are only a $$ sign to them. It's too bad as I feel if they focus on their patients instead of numbers they could do good things. Going here I feel like a bother to them. NO, I do NOT recommend KENSINGTON MEDICAL CLINIC

I went their yesterday late was told they can't take anyone else. I asked so I can just come in…read moretomorrow and walk in. Replied yes So I tried calling to see if I could make an appointment, I could not get thru in the morning . I came back with 2 hrs left in the day 1 person in the waiting room. I was told I had to make an appointment to get in. I told her that is not what they said yesterday, the sign out front says Accepting walk ins it doesn't read accepting walk ins by appointment only. I am not impressed & won't go back
