Sitting on the gorgeous expanse of Columbia Woodlands is the aptly named Lakeside Cottage. My…read morefamily and I pulled in off the gravel road and saw our weekend cottage standing stark in front of the setting sun, appearing like it was set for a hallmark movie. My children ran in with wild, excited hearts in disbelief that we were staying at this incredibly nice cabin for the weekend. My husband and I followed them in and a gorgeous (and delicious) charcuterie board along with a bottle of wine and a welcome note caught my eye. My husband brought all of our things in as quickly as he could so that he could rush over to the complimentary golf cart and take the kids for a spin around the compound. The trajectory of our weekend only remained in an upward motion as every single detail of the cottage and compound were perfectly set and maintained to ensure our stay was amazing. On Saturday, after our breakfast was delivered, we decided to drive the golf cart around and explore the expansive compound. Throughout the grounds there are multiple areas where you can stop and make a fire. These areas are stocked with ample firewood as well as fire starting supplies. With it being the first weekend of November, we took advantage of a few of these fire pits. That afternoon concierge sent me a text that they had complementary wine on the fishing dock and my husband and I couldn't drive over quickly enough. At the fishing dock there are, of course, ample fishing supplies provided as well as canoes and paddle boards for extra activities. Columbia Woodlands is indeed a luxury cabin experience and it is worth every penny. The four of us were sad to have to leave on Sunday morning because every thing had been so incredible. Thank you CW staff for creating a beautiful place and providing us with a wonderful experience.

From booking him a year in advance on the phone, I could tell he was a very nice guy. When I got on the vehicle I was pleasantly surprised with an immaculate party bus with lights, snacks and a rack for me and my groomsmen to hang our garment bags. He let us choose the music and gave us a bottle of champagne and a card. He continued to drive our guests to and from the hotels all night. I got nothing but compliments about Rick and his bus all night long. If you are considering transportation for your wedding or any other occasion I highly recommend going with Beer and Ale Traveler.

As we walked by one of them asked, "Hey ladies, are you going swimming tonight?" I don't consider myself uptight but I was put off by it. Inside, the check in was polite and quick. Our room was clean and the view from our balcony was incredible. Very picturesque and serene. After having some cocktails in our room, we decided to explore the grounds. The trail behind the building lead us first to the koi pond. It was stocked with beautiful fish and food for them was available to purchase. There was a little waterfall and then we came upon a childrens village that was absolutely adorable. Having just rained, there were no children playing in the village so being two adults with questionable maturity, we had the most fun exploring the miniature buildings. After exploring the outside, we did indeed go swimming.
