I've been going here for over 20 years. Never had a problem. They're very kind, professional, and compassionate.

From the moment we walked through the door we noted how clean and professional and calming and welcoming the space was. We were given a private, comfortable room while we waited. Dr Kelly was extremely thorough in describing the procedure, taking the time to answer all of our questions in a compassionate and truly patient-centered way. He was clearly passionate about the work and incredibly knowledgeable. We were treated with respect and he was open and honest about his recommendations and projected outcomes. The technicians were also caring and went the extra mile to make Daphne (and us) feel comfortable. I received a call with updates from the doctor himself as soon as the surgery was completed, and then another extensive conversation when we returned to pick her up to ensure we understood everything with her discharge and what to expect in the coming days and months. It was clear Dr Kelly and his team are the best of the best when it comes to this type of ortho procedure and we would 10/10 recommend Stonecliff to anyone needing this type of care. We travelled 2.5 hours to get there and it was well worth the trip to know she was in good hands and to reduce the fears we had going into it. We hope to never have to go back but are so thankful to have received the care we did when we needed it!

I would give zero stars if I could. "Dr. Mike" in addition to being condescending and patronizing,…read moreis downright dangerous for pets to be around. He told me during a consult he had to hold my very small dogs mouth closed and she turned blue and couldn't breathe...when I simply and respectfully asked for more details about this, he cancelled her procedure and told me we weren't welcome. He would rather my dog suffer or even die than provide more info. He clearly has a big ego problem and is too rough with animals...my dog was clearly scared. I can't believe I let him take her for a consult in the first place. Additionally, he rushed the conversation, made me feel like an idiot, and rudely told me nowhere else would be able to fit me in before September (4 months from now.) He also gave incorrect info about another diagnosis he clearly knew nothing about. Marie in the office was fantastic, I wish I could work solely with her. But if you want to keep your pet safe, healthy, and unharmed, stay far away from "Mike". I wish someone had warned me, I feel so bad for not trusting my gut and feel like I let my sweet girl down for even letting him take her for a consult in the first place!

I was early to the interview and dr Mike and his wife dr.sandy showed up late for the intervie. By the time I made it back home they called me back in cuz I left. so because I wanted the job I went back for an hour and a half interview of dr sandy showing me pictures of the X-rays of the dentistry I explained that I was highly interested in the position and it looked like fun and looked very informative and wanted to learn as much as I could. dr.sandy said ok and had me come in yesterday 5/17/2022. I was there for six hours shadowing everyone. Well after I left I was confident I had the job just a little while ago I got a call from dr. Mike after I wrote a thank you letter to him and his staff saying that he hired someone else. needless to say that broke my heart for I have dedicated the past six years devoted to helping animals in need. all I can say is best of luck to whoever they hired but it still hurts that they couldn't just let me know ahead of time they were going to hire someone else and get my hopes up.

(And emergency room for humans too, actually. Waiting is part of the emergency experience.) Once our dog was in their care, they saw her quickly and came out to let us know she was okay, no infections or other major problems. They offered to put in more staples, but the doctor told us honestly it wasn't necessary. We felt the care our dog received was kind, thorough and honest. Very grateful for our SAVES experience.

He was a gentle neutered boy but he had never been separated from me or his twin brother and was sick and afraid. They told me he would have to stay overnight to be hydrated, which seemed odd since I know they can do subQ fluids without it needing to be overnight, but they insisted. The vet tech was handling him roughly and they took him away to "examine" him. I heard him literally screaming. When they came I asked what the heck had happened? She said he was "a nervous cat." No one ever called him that. I reluctantly left him--telling them please not to give him any sedatives because they were indicating they might have to sedate him to give him IV fluids. I said PLEASE just give him subcutaneous and get him stable and we'd re-evaluate the next day. I called them later because I had a very bad feeling. Sure enough. They had given him a sedative and he wasn't "coming around" and I said "WHY did you DO that?! I told you not to sedate him under any circumstances" First she said "It is our policy to do so." When I said "Why didn't you tell me that when I asked you to assure me you wouldn't?" She said she'd get her supervisor, who got on the phone and shrieked at me "So you're saying you want to put my staff in DANGER?!" I said he had never attacked or bitten or even hissed at vets before. And the supervisor bellowed: "Your cat is FRACTIOUS!!!" Again: my gentle fellow had never been "fractious" but if you treat any animal roughly and without respect they'll like struggle. Being 18 he'd had lots of vets and none of them ever said he was a "nervous" cat or "fractious." I was going to drive up there at 11:30pm to rescue him but being NH it was snow storming and I'd have to drive thru the mountains to get him. The next day I picked him up and he was so traumatized he didn't know who I was or where he was, they shaved his entire arm. In the past 20 hours he had lost 1/2 his life force. He came to recognize my family, his brother, and me but he was now not only SICK--which he was when I brought him to SAVES (ironic name)--he was now actively DYING. He was in such shock from having been so badly manhandled and being sedated nearly to the point of no return. He died 3 days later. As they say "If I could turn back time." The memory of what they did to him--and how they treated my dear kitty--haunts me to this day.
