One of the nicest, and probably my favorite course in Noble County…read more Greens are soft & fast. Fairways are forgiving & roll well. Challenging and fun at the same time! And even though the course was built not that long ago, the mature trees which they built around create the feeling of a much older set of links. Love hole #4, the par 3 over water. Perfectly placed to give you a few holes to warm up and then challenges you before you get too far along. Holes 5 & 7 are also fun. Water forces you to lay up, or in the case of 7 either lay up or challenge the creek on your second shot with a long iron or fairway wood. Hole #8 & #9 are tough. Hole #8 is deceiving. Long par 3 that looks shorter than it actually is. And #9 is tough. It's the hardest hole on the course. #12 is fun...another par 3 over water, but downhill this time. #15 is a great risk/reward hole...I love playing a cut driver, trying to shape it down the shoot. The greens have plenty of break, and are sooooooo much fun! Only reason I don't give it a 5-star is that they used to make their own sandwiches in the club house. They now have them delivered prepackaged and sitting in a fridge. I think that is a real bummer...their chicken salad was really good.

Everything is sooooooo CLEAN. The atmosphere is nothing like back in the day. It's not dark with flashing lights and music blaring so loud you can't hear yourself think. (Don't get me wrong, I loved that as a teenager.) It's bright and welcoming. There is music playing, but it's not out of control loud. We had such a good time here. The food is really good too!!! Combat Ops is amazing! I wish it was closer to Indianapolis, so we could visit more often. Alas, it…read morewill have to be our special place that we go to when we're up in Fort Wayne. My two young children had a blast. We probably could have stayed here for hours, but we only dropped by for an hour and a half. But we packed a lot in during that time. Combat Ops has a huge laser tag arena, an area to have Nerf battles, a laser maze, miniature golf, miniature bowling, outdoor axe throwing, an arcade, and an eatery area with local beer. It's basically the perfect place to bring your kids and relax while they play (or join in the fun -- whatever you want to do). I would say that most of the games and entertainment is geared toward older kids and teens (and adults). For instance, my younger child wasn't able to do the laser tag because the guns were a bit heavy for his little arms. But that was pretty much the only thing, other than axe throwing, that he couldn't do. Younger kids would love the miniature bowling, because the balls are small and can fit in a little hand. The miniature golf was also a favorite because what little kid doesn't like putt-putt golf?! My personal favorite was the Nerf arena. We booked a half hour, and they make you watch a safety video, then tell you the rules, and then have you put on safety glasses and let you pick out a Nerf weapon. There is always someone walking around to make sure everyone is playing safely. As a mom who worries about everything, I appreciated all of the extra steps Combat Ops takes to make sure everyone is safe! They aren't obtrusive about it -- just insistent, which I like. The person monitoring our session suggested some games that we could play, which made the experience even more fun. We had a great time playing capture the flag and freeze tag with our Nerf guns. Another favorite of ours was the laser maze. You step into a foggy room, and try to get from one side to the other without tripping the lasers. I think we did the laser maze at least six times! It was a lot of fun. My kids didn't want to leave this place when it was time to go, and they're already talking about how they want to come back for their birthday. Combat Ops really is a super fun place for families, and my family can't wait to go back.
