Seriously...CCGC has a wonderful outdoor seating area if you want to find outside. It's peaceful as you over look the golf course. It's covered and has a wind block screen to slow down the sun rays and wind. Very relaxing. On top of that.. they have a decent broad menu with lots of delicious items to try! CCGC has a full bar and does a nice job with drinks. You can get a bucket of beer or a mixed drink/martini like we did. The drinks were very tasty and priced nicely! My wife loved the grilled Caesar salad. She has had several different salads here. They are always fresh, attractive and tasty! I love onion rings and usually get a side. On this visit the recipe seems to have changed. The onion piece was moderately thick and cooked to a soft crisp. The batter was also moderately thick. It was smooth and soft with not much crunch. It was also a bit greasy. Overall..,the rings were good. I tried the wings. The wings were small and not very meaty. They were nicely fried so they had a slight crisp. The garlic Parmesan sauce was a bit thin in consistency. It does have a moderate garlic flavor and a slight Parmesan cheese texture. It was good...but I prefer a thicker and stronger tasting flavor. The Bourbon wing sauce was outstanding. It has a sweet taste to go long with the bourbon type flavors. Nothing is strong or over powering here. The sauce was pooled on the wings and in the bottom of the dish. This allowed me to bath the wing in more sauce - delicious!!

Maybe drives and people are the same...the harder you try, the worse the shot ends up. (Tee boxes and fairways are great here. Tee boxes were aerated recently, but plugs were all gone. Center cut of fairways is narrow in places, but that makes it fun!) Playing from the tips, I can score in the 80's here, but scoring a long term friendship with people I care about seems to evade me. (Low scores at this course are generated by playing smart. With lots of creeks and water your shot selection needs to include several layups and specific yardages to put you in a good position to hit the green.) I can usually read a green better than I can read a person. However, the greens here are tough. You first think it will go left, but then you walk it and maybe it will go right, so you don't give up the cup and run it 4 feet past the hole to the right. (Sometimes you just have to go for it, even if failure is imminent.) A lot of people don't understand golf. A lot of people don't like golf, or those that play. That's ok...I don't understand a lot of people. Love the bridges, scenic views, and an obviously well cared for track.

I recently came by Foster Park with my dog for a walk. This park has a two-mile paved loop around…read morethe golf course. There is plenty of parking at different points around the park, however I chose to park by the tennis courts at the trail head. During my walk, I noticed lots of other folks walking, running, and cycling too. Everyone was pretty friendly offering a quick hello. There are signs that remind those enjoying the trails to stay off the golf course. I can't really comment on the golf course itself as I don't golf, however the folks that were golfing seemed to enjoy themselves. My dog's favorite part of the park had to be all the grass. She kept stopping to roll around in it. She was having a ball! My favorite part of Foster Park was how beautiful it is. There are lots of trees and plants. During my recent visit, the tulips had bloomed and were really quite lovely. I noticed a family taking photos here with a professional photographer, so this park might also be a nice backdrop for your next set of portraits.

We also had the prime rib table, which was amazing as always. I had a (fantastic)!!! time and so did my husband and all of our guests. I didn't have any issues what do ever, and I would definitely have any party here again for any event! I'm a member of orchard ridge, and I would of course recommend that as well. Great staff, helpful, kind and very accommodating. Had Carolyn Martin and her band as well who I would also recommend. Big thank you to Orchard Ridge, they're amazing.
