So they stole $47 dollars from me. The foolish idiot that would not let us on kept saying "we are full, next time come early" Plus they allow anyone and everyone (children and minors) to stand and hangout on the edge of the driveway to cheer the parade as it goes by. Very expensive. Weekend is a flat rate of $28 no matter the time spent there. We parked here to go to the Briscoe museum and Schilo's. The garage is completely automated with no staff in sight. I assume someone is behind the scenes in case there are issues. You'll receive a parking ticket on the way in and can pay it in the elevator lobby before going back to your car. You'll keep your original ticket because you'll need to scan it to leave. I am giving it 3 stars because it was in a convenient location and seemed safe but we'll look into other less expensive options next time we're downtown. read more

Yikes! $27 to park for 3 hours in River Bend Parking Garage On a Saturday morning!!! As a resident of Ssn Antonio I'm shocked and appalled by this cost. When did this robbery start? I remember this garage being somewhat reasonable. I went downtown to meet an out- of-town friend for breakfast at Schilo's. Parking cost more than our breakfast. These sorts of prices will discourage locals from visiting OUR Riverwalk. Isn't this garage owned by the City of San Antonio? And these prices can only anger visitors from out of town. SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY SUSPECT! BEWARE! Most likely by the time you read this is will be too late. You've already had the misfortune to park at Riverbend Garage. Just know you're not wrong or crazy. After picking up my daughter and friends, the girls were hungry. We saw a Whataburger and decided to park there for convenience. After we grab the food and before hitting the elevator, my husband prepays at their vending both. It's $20. We're not even for an hour. Typical tourist trap price gauging. HE PAYS AND GETS A RECEIPT. We get to the exit point. The ticket is not allowing us out and trying to get us to pay again. So we push the button for assistance. A guy comes out, we explain the situation. We show him the receipt. He takes both our ticket & receipt. Says the number doesn't match. Then proceeds to question us more. Never gives us back our receipt. Walks away, never goes to the prepay machines, and comes back and says, "It's impossible this is your ticket." I say, "It is. We're not paying again. Call the police. We don't have time for this. We're not paying again." He stalls some more trying to argue. Then he disappears and yells through the intercom, "Scammers!" It is my opinion that they were trying to hustle us for more money. read more

I was heading to La Villita and Casa Rio on River Walk. I thought parking would be a problem. Lucky me. I found Riverbend Garage. The ceiling is high enough that I wouldn't feel claustrophobic. The parking spaces are wide enough that I don't have to worry about get dented. I love the spiral driveways going up and going down. The trick is to line up the left tip of my car to the middle of road to avoid hitting the curb. The elevator is fairly clean. It looks like someone took good care of this facility. Indeed. This garage is managed by Central Parking System, one of the major parking companies in the country. My only concern is the one-and-only cashier at the exit. If you are in a hurry to get out, well... leave early. If I come back to downtown San Antonio, I'll definitely park here again. read more

DO NOT PARK HERE! We parked here for dinner around 7:30 and had to take the corkscrew up to the sixth floor which made our driver very dizzy. By the time we were ready to leave two hours later, we had to wait NO EXAGGERATION a full hour to descend the the both physical and figurative downward spiral. Once we made it to the booth, the attendant gave us attitude for requesting that the hour we spent deliriously driving down the corkscrew be taken off our bill. The only upside to this experience was the camaraderie between all the other drivers who were probably plotting to drive through the wall and plummet to their deaths as well. I would not park there anymore. I went to pay at the machine and it gave me the wrong change and was taken to the main office to get what I was missing. When I got there the supervisor Bernie Vigil was very rude about it, that he went up to my friend's face and was yelling at her. If that is customer service I don't want to be back. That supervisor was not very professional. He didn't want to give us the info that we needed to report him. But I'd give props to a Michael for servicing us and maintaining his calm. read more

I hate this parking garage. It's so aggravating! You have to go up and down on this super tight corkscrew to change levels. Once you get going, it's easy to see how you can get dizzy from driving around in circles to get up and down the floors. This garage fills up quickly- so you often have to park near the roof. Fortunately, there's an elevator to get you out of the place. There is some nice mural artwork in the areas by the elevators. The spots here are so small! I think they're using a Jello box as a parking spot stencil. They usually only have one cashier to get you out of here. So if you happen to be down here when it's busy, give yourself plenty of time to get out of there. I think that the reason that they have the corkscrew is that you can turn your car off and coast down while you wait in line, and not have to run your engine. But nobody does that. I generally try to park in the city owned lots downtown instead of one of these privately owned lots. It's a great jumping off point for places around the Riverwalk and La Villita. read more

Is zero stars an option? It's $15 for 0-2 hours, then $20 two to twelve hours. They HIDE the price, but once you see the price after driving in, it's too late and you must grab a ticket and enter. We went to the exit immediately to leave and they tried to charge us $10 just to leave! $10 to NOT park! I'm half certain the security guard was going to pocket that money too because that was not posted as a fee anywhere and he balked when we repeatedly asked where that is listed. I can't give zero stars; hence the 1 star rating. There is only 1 exit and we waited in line for 1.5 hours on the 6th floor to get out. We got out of the car and talked to others and they said they called the police. At the exit they were slowing it down because they still the nerve to collect tickets. Who cares! DO NOT PARK HERE! These people are really slick. They don't post the prices on the sidewalk, so you don't know the prices til you turn in. Once you turn in you can't reverse, by the time you get to the exit it's 5-10 minutes depending on how busy it is at which point they tell you you've been in the garage and they still charged $$$. read more
