After a long search for the perfect wedding venue, we truly could not have chosen a better place. The venue was absolutely breathtaking, with the most beautiful views and an atmosphere that made our wedding weekend feel so special. The house on the property was also wonderful and made having our wedding party together for the weekend so convenient. The entire team was incredible, but I especially want to recognize Pete for all of the hard work he put into making our weekend absolutely perfect! He worked tirelessly on the grounds and behind the scenes and helped make the weekend absolutely perfect. We cannot recommend this venue and their team enough! You will not regret the amazing backdrop for ALL of your photos. read more

River Road Venue - Wedding Chapels Near Me - Anna, Texas

Beautiful venue. Venue grounds were very well kept and quiet. The chapel and reception hall were amazing. Very good venue for 150 guests or less. Our day-of host, Pete, was very courteous and helpful. We did have trouble getting management to respond to our emails and texts in the months leading up to the wedding. At one point, we didn't hear back for a full month. We also were told during our initial tour that the sound systems installed in the chapel and reception hall would be available to use, but were later told that we couldn't use the sound systems that are permanently installed, and rather we had to provide our own speakers and equipment. Other than the communication trouble and speaker situation, we really enjoyed having our wedding at River Road. read more

I'm writing this review from the perspective of a wedding guest at River Road Venue. I attended a wedding here in early November and it was wonderful. The location in Anna, TX is remote enough to make it feel secluded. Set off a country road, there is plenty of open field parking. From what I could see, there was the main reception building and the outdoor wedding space was across the creek. Upon arrival to the reception area, very nice, top of the line golf carts were waiting to chauffeur guests to the outdoor ceremony area. The ceremony took place outdoors past a small creek where there was a quaint bridge. The seating was set up in neat rows where the centerpiece had a lovely antique chandelier. There was also a mic set up and outdoor speakers so the vows could be easily heard as well as music to bookend the ceremony. Our friends who got married are huge Anglophiles and they chose "London Calling" by The Clash to take their first walk down the aisle as man and wife. Great touch! For the reception, the building has lots of long tables and some round ones. There was also a dance floor space. The only thing I would say here, is I wish there were some noise abatement measures. While there were speakers to amplify the toasts and speeches, the large space was too boomy to hear with clarity. Other than that, the space was very nice. There are also rooms to the sides of the main room for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. The restrooms were also very clean and well maintained. Overall, I thought River Road Venue was a lovely place to attend a wedding and had beautiful grounds. I would definitely love to attend another wedding here again sometime. read more

Me and my partner went here to view the property for a potential wedding venue. I had contracted Lori the day before hoping to get a last minute tour and she was very accommodating and was quick to send us prices and scheduled a tour. As soon as me and my partner walked in we felt welcomed. As part of the LGBT community we have ran into some issues with finding a place to get married in with vendors and venues not even responding to our inquiries it was a refreshing change of pace to feel welcomed. We toured the place and everything was clearly laid out of what was included and what was extra. We completely loved the tour and it is our top choice currently with expectations of putting a deposit down in late July. read more

River Road Venue - Pricing current to May 2023 - Wedding Chapels Near Me - Anna, Texas

River Road Chateau was absolutely the best! The meadow is a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding; it stormed until 6:00 am the night before my daughter's wedding and by the time the ceremony started at 5:00 pm, the meadow was fine! The venue for the reception is beautiful and accommodated our 150 guests without feeling crowded. The evening was nice enough to have the buffet out on a side patio and this also made a nice area for guests to visit. Lori and her staff were beyond the best to work with!!! They were pleasant, professional, and present throughout the reception to make sure things were running smoothly. The staff was a huge help getting things packed up and cleaned up. When we returned from the bride and groom send out, basically all our things were on two tables in the back which made it easy and quick to load. Another benefit to River Road Chateau is the Guest House on the premises. It was so relaxing to be on site the whole day of the wedding and not worry about having to load up and go anywhere. My daughter chose to get ready in the bridal suite at the house instead of the venue, and this made getting ready very relaxing. I highly recommend staying in the house! Lori has worked hard on a vendor list, and we used everyone she suggested and were VERY pleased. Our guests loved the food, complimented the DJ, and the bar was very reasonable! From food to security, Lori's recommendations were outstanding. The whole weekend was truly enjoyable and perfect, we wouldn't have changed a thing! read more

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!! I loved having my wedding here. Everything went by so smooth. Wade and Jessica treat you like a member of the family while planning your wedding; I loved the little outdoor chapel area. Also they do have the chateau in case of inclimate weather. This is a great place if you are planning a rustic or country wedding! read more

My little sister had her wedding at the River Road Chateau a few weeks ago. It is a beautiful venue, but unfortunately the staff we had that day made us feel very uncomfortable and very unwelcome from the very moment we arrived to set up all the way through clean (up which we did an hour early. ) It was such a special and exciting day for my little sister, and to have her family friends, and guests be treated in that way was very disappointing . read more

My husband and I got married on March 17 at River Road Chateau, and it was the most perfect day ever! From the whole process leading up to the wedding all the way through that day, Krysti was so accommodating, kind, supportive, and helpful in every way! She was always ready to share any ideas she had as well as help my ideas and dreams come to reality. Krysti made it a very personal experience, one that was focused on the excitement of the day, although she was always on top of things and very reliable concerning business as well. She was wonderful and so fun to work with! The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous. We had our ceremony outside and only needed minimal decorations as the beauty of the wedding meadow was enough. After the ceremony, we moved inside the chateau for our reception and guests seemed to love mingling around the indoor/outdoor feel of it. We have received (and are still receiving!) countless compliments about how beautiful and special it was and how helpful the staff was. RR was the perfect place for my husband and me to celebrate our most special day. It was truly a fairytale. Thank you to Krysti and the rest of the staff at RR for helping to make that day one that we will treasure forever! read more

I don't recommend this venue at all. Snobby people and extremely rude. The day of my wedding, everyone was very kind and friendly towards me (the bride), but all the event staff were very rude to my mom, my groom, and my guests. The stories I have heard are appalling and saddening. I heard Marilyn (our on site "manager" for the day) snap at my mom and someone helping us set up more than once, I have heard multiple comments from guests that snide or sarcastic comments were made when they asked questions, and the new property/event manager was incredibly rude to my groom. She told my mother that she "wouldn't be sad if we left early" and she told my groom who was trying to locate the beer for his dad to take home "I don't know where it is and I don't care, I have way more than you to do and I don't want to be here". At one point the old owners came by and disappeared with Marilyn for close to an hour while we were trying to frantically finish setting up. Unacceptable. Vendors were late and instead of the venue, who had all the contact info by the way, calling to check for us, Marilyn made my mom call all of them. This is also unacceptable. I feel it is common sense that the mother of the bride has enough on her plate that day, and to make her do YOUR job is not only lazy but rude. What was the point of hiring you guys and having an onsite event manager if all she was gonna do was supervise and order us around as if she hired us? That is completely unacceptable. We were not rowdy, we are a well behaved bunch and we were there from 9am to 12am. We were not there outside of our rented time, and everything was cleaned up. I am so sad that such a gorgeous venue had the audacity to act so mean on my one special day. I had to tell people to stop telling me stories about how rude your staff was to prevent it from ruining the memories of my day. There are so many stories that I could go on and on... the venue is truly beautiful and is an awesome place to get married but your staff make it an ugly place. I am very very disappointed that we spent all this money to be treated that way. I will not be referring anyone to your venue for any event. read more

Me and my husband got married here on 4/29/17. I have only good things to say about this place! I found the RRC from The Knot, and from the beginning, Krysti, the Manager, was SO helpful, informative, and friendly. The day I called, she got me up there to see the venue right away! Krysti let me come to the venue anytime to show my family, plan for the wedding, and I also took my engagement photos there! This made me feel very special, and I loved visiting the location. Krysti is awesome! She started to feel like family. She kept us all informed throughout their renovation of the guest house next door, and all the new additions to the venue. She has done a great job! The place looked great to begin with, but with all the new additions the owners and herself added, it has made it even more beautiful! I want to go back one weekend to stay at the guest house! I fell in love with the outdoor ceremony space! All week, it was %100 chance of rain when my wedding was supposed to start, but when it came down to the day, it wasn't raining... yet! I was freaking out, and Krysti knew I wanted it outside. I was so pleased with how well she did with preparing for both scenarios, and making sure I was happy. I was able to have my wedding ceremony outside, and it was perfect! I love the vibe the place puts off. Many of our guests told us it was the most fun wedding they have ever been too- everyone had enough room to dance, and we danced all night! I love the patio's, with the twinkly lights. I love the get ready rooms, and the views of the pastures surrounding. I guess you can say, I LOVE The River Road Chateau, and thank you Krysti, Larry, and everyone who helped make my day everything I ever wanted! I can't wait to visit again, and check all the new additions out! read more

This was a fantastic experience. My wife, son and I were invited here to celebrate our friends renew their vows. We were very surprised when we drove up. The ceremony was outside. The landscaping was amazing as well as the floral arrangements. It was breezy but during the renewal, it seemed as though the wind died for that precious moment. They used a horse drawn carriage and my son was able to pet the horses. The dining area was just as amazing. They had large tables but still plenty of room to dance. The catering was on the mark. They even had a coffee/tea bar for those of us who don't drink. We all LOVED it!! If you would like to get out of the confines of the city and get to a wide open rural experience, this is definitely the place to be. The seclusion of the location adds to the family togetherness and fellowship of the whole ceremony. It brought me back to a simpler time when we weren't all in such a hurry. Keep up the GREAT WORK River Road Chateau!! read more
