AC has been out for 3 weeks with no updates on return. I asked about compensation and was told they did all that they can, when my unit doesn't have a window In the bedroom. they gave me a portable for the living room but my apartment is still at 80 degrees. horrible customer care, they should move me units instead of not doing anything. absolutely do not recommend this residence. I currently live in River Pointe! I love it here the office is so nice and understanding. My favorite person to speak with is Fallon. She's amazing, attentive, and takes really good care of you. She will keep you updated the whole way and is super transparent. I was so worried about not qualifying but she talked me through the whole process which eased my concerns. After 6 months I'm still pretty pleased. Maintenance does repairs in a timely manner. The front office staff is always polite and helpful. Parking is a little frustrating at times so I was finally able to get covered parking but was given a spot with a mud puddle so waiting to move to a dry spot. The responses from the team are passive aggressive and clearly show the lack of empathy and understanding. It's been 6 years that horrible reviews go back and have the audacity to charge $1060+ lol. Lived there for 3 years. First year was okay. Second year started having problems with the A/C and it was a constant battle to keep it working. The moved one of the Apt staff in to the apt above us and you would have thought they moved a Circus in up there. Repeatedly asked them to be quiet, started complaining to management, which was a new person ever month. They did nothing. But if we got loud we got threatened to be evicted. Probably the worst place I've ever stayed. The A/C problem continued into the last year I was there. My electric bill started going up. For two years it average was $180mo then out of no where $220 the next month $380 the next month $450. This kept happening for 6months. Every month I would talk to whoever the manager was that month. The last straw was when they had the nerve to tell me that "it's summer time, everyones bill goes up." To many apartments around here to deal with these assholes. DO NOT RENT HERE I paid a $600 deposit and was told it was 100% refundable!! When I moved out I didn't even get 10% of that back. When I called and asked I was told that one of THEIR employees made a MISTAKE and it didn't go towards my deposit- and that if it were brought to her attention at that time she could've fixed it. I told her whenever I first moved in, I called and asked TWICE about it and no one ever mentioned it. So I got screwed over on my deposit due to THEIR mistake, which is unfair!!!! Also when I moved in, it was no where near move in ready. I had to clean everything! There are so many bugs in these apartments, and pest control never came! On the move in day, the water was yellow, garage disposal was broken, sink backed up, my car was broken into and so was my neighbors. THUGS everywhere. Management is unfriendly. This is the worst, worst!! Place you can ever rent from. I just got threatened by the MANAGER that she would call the cops because I wanted to talk about why they wouldn't take off the garage. And after that she said well I should not even be taking off the garage bc I gave you a deal. Which is so rude because if I don't want the garage you are by law supposed to take it off and not make me pay for it. They always over pay you, double everything and won't take it off. Current resident here, I've been without AC for almost a week, my children's room gets up to 82 at night, the rest of the apartment is around 78-79. I've requested it be fixed 4-5 times through the app, all work orders have been closed electronically, and only two work orders have been left at my apartment, both of which did absolutely nothing to help with the AC. I've found black flakes coming from my HVAC ducts and missed the Monday cleaning, so now I have to wait till they have more than just MY ducts to clean to have a third party come in and clean my ducts. My youngest son is 2 years old and has extremely sensitive asthma, but one apartment isn't a priority. Lastly today when I got back to my apartment not only did the maintenance man leave my door UNLOCKED but left his keys in the outside deadbolt, next to his poorly written work order. I'm really not one to be mean/rude but this apartment complex is such a joke. I have lived here for about 16 months now.. and I'm not quite sure what the point of having phones in their lobby is if they absolutely NEVER answer the phone. You are better off going into the office to talk to someone and it's funny because when you go in there they are just sitting there.. yet when you blow them up on the phone they 90% will not answer. It is absolutely absurd. One time, ten minutes before they opened. There was someone lingering in the parking lots that was clearly on some type of drug.. following me around to where I couldn't even go into my apartment to get my phone because I felt so unsafe. I went to the front office to tell them this and you wouldn't believe how rude the girl was when she opened the door for me. All because I knocked ten minutes early. I then proceeded to tell her why I was there and told her about the man.. I just couldn't believe I was confronted like that when someone so dangerous was lurking in the parking lot. OK rant over.. if you like to be able to reach the front office of where you live please save yourself and don't move here. read more

We lived there for two years and loved it! The apartment was clean, spacious, open concept and modern. Friendly management and prompt maintenance. Very friendly neighbors!Only cons were some car break ins but they had complex meetings with a police officer to try and help, and some people weren't polite about picking up dog poop. However, they did start having a staff member to help clean the areas. They really are prompt to try and remedy concerns. I have recommended this complex to many people! read more

This complex used to be very nice. The manager, Eric, was super responsive, informative, and just overall personable. In the last few months, the complex as taken a turn for the ghetto of ways... I chose to pay $700 plus a month to ensure a nice community of neighbors, but instead, I now get thugs and young adults who have no respect in regards to keeping the noise levels down at night and banging on their walls. The pet policy clearly states that no pitbulls allowed, and that seems to be breed i see nowadays! I am paying for a gated community, however, the gate was broken recently for almost a month. They only fixed it yesterday (7/13/2011) bc the day before (7/12) 3 of the apartments in the complex were broken into, one of which was a friend of mine whom I had highly recommended to move here! She actually walked in on the man who had broken into her unit. (I'm so ashamed and sorry for that decision now!) After she warned me to be careful, I questioned one of the office personnel about it who happened to be showing the model to a prospective resident. I asked her about what was going to be done about the incident as I am about 6 months pregnant. She told me to just file a complaint with the office manager (not Eric anymore, but a girl who was promoted bc people kept leaving the office and who was always rude to me unless she was around prospective clients around her) WELL... the office manager called my friend and asked her if she knew me. and that there are possible consequences for "breach of contract" as I revealed this information in front of a prospective client. I couldnt believe it when my friend told me this... i mean... HELLO!!! Your're going to threaten her with "possible consequences for breach of contract" on the same day her private space she calls home was VIOLATED!!! HOW DARE THEY! how about breach of contract for never fixing the gate for almost a month... letting people have pit bulls when your rules clearly state they cant! I chose 1 star because that's as low as it goes--- worst place I've ever lived. My apartment was not even ready when I was scheduled to move in-- the walls were dirty and still full of holes and nails from the previous tenant. The carpet had been shampooed but was worn and very tattered . Should have been replaced yrs before. The air was not working and my movers ( in August) had to move in such heat w/ no cool relief inside. When I told the manager the condition of the place. She got defensive and said the painters were on the way.. They then had to paint all around my furniture. The baseboard around the dining room had obviously been very wet at some point because the wood was actually growing large mounds of brown. The painters simply painted over it. The staff was lazy and rude. I went to the office one day to pay rent and the doors were locked. I waited outside . The maintenance man came and let us in, (there was another person waiting as well) Because it was so hot out. As we were waiting inside, the manager came out of her office and had quite obviously been in her office napping. The theater room was down the entire yr I lived there and the gate broken most of the time. Then did not return my deposit when I left because I didn't clean the oven and they charged me to shampoo the carpet. The parties were out of control and the redneck that lived across from me decided it was a good idea to bring the parties on the walkway outside my door at 2:00 AM. Worst place to live. EVER . They upped my rent 130.00 after my first yr. they would have to pay me to live there! I lived there in 2011-2012. I was in building 15. Every time it rained I could smell mold for several days. The upstairs apartment had a water break and water was running down the walls and pouring all over my washer and dryer. We loved this place. The apartments are too cute, new appliances, crown molding throughout, nice pool, nice gym and the staff is the sweetest. Most of the apartments we've lived in had paper thin walls and you could hear EVERYTHING, this was not the case at River Pointe. Never heard the neighbors, above or below. We moved from out of state and Whitney was unbelievably helpful, got us moved in quick, and super responsive. It's definitely a cute spot and would recommend it to friends. read more

EDIT: Since whatever change has occurred within the company, I can tell you that my experience has been less understanding and less personal than in the fourteen months prior. Monica and the previous staff have always been amazing and helpful, and I've always been happy in my dealings with them. But during the last couple of months changes in policy and a new lack of consideration have created tense situations that I felt were unnecessary. I'm a person, and they are people, working for people, and when people work with each other, things can be done in a way that is best for everyone. Until recently, that has been how my interactions have gone, each and every time, and they have gone well. It's unfortunate that this has changed, and it's unfortunate that all I can do is kill off a few of these stars, as fear of "getting in trouble" has left the front office (though certainly not everyone in it) with an impersonal touch.-- UPDATE: further interaction with one specific member of staff (who never offered her name and on two occasions would not let me speak to anyone higher up) have continued to be difficult and unfriendly. We will no longer be renewing our lease, or recommending these apartments to others. Do not pay attention to positive reviews older than a few months. This is not the same complex it once was. The new front office staff is getting better at addressing the need to be taken care of. Unfortunately my apartment is still in the 90's.

I do not recommend living at this apartment complex. We have had over six property managers since we moved in. This does not include assistant manager and leasing consultant turn over. The last month of our lease the management is charging us with bogus additional fees. The foundation to the apartments is constantly shifting, the water is hard, and there is a lot of mold under the flooring and in the walls. The management is not customer friendly and always has new policies with each new manager. There are a lot of other places with good management to live in the area. read more

This apartment complex USED to be a great place to live where you were treated as a valued resident, that is not the case now. Recently they came into my apartment and did major renovations without any sort of notice. The renovations are still not done two weeks later and there has been no communication with me about when this is going to be done. There is no communication between the apartment management and the residents, not even about simple things like receiving a package. Previously, this apartment complex communicated about everything that is going on, now if I don't go seeking the information I will have no idea. My husband and I moved to Riverpointe a year ago. We weren't too fond of the management, but the apartment was what we were looking for in a short amount of time and reasonable move in fees. My husband and I found ourselves frustrated with the old management. They never did anything. All they did was sit in the office and never took action. About four months ago, we met the new management team and we were shocked by their response. They want to help the residents and the future residents any way they can. I recently visited River Pointe Apartments in Conroe and I am proud to say that I was very pleased. I enjoyed the area and the tour. They have great customer service and it is a very clean environment. I'd have to say that my favorite attraction was in fact the pool area. The employees were very helpful in helping me decide what I wanted to do. They did not try to "push" me to do anything but allowed me to take my time. I can definitely see myself living there. River Pointe Apartments would be your very last choice for Apartment living in this area. The management has changed every several months since we have lived here, which is almost 4 years. In the last few months since the latest management change, the service has gone downhill to the point where it's actually unsafe. There have been break ins and yesterday we received a notice that suspicious people have been seen and that it's the resident's responsibility to use common sense. They even suggested we invest in additional locks to put on the windows. The prices are insane for such a horribly operated property. The place is a dump an it's going downhill. Before I moved in, we decided to check out the building we would be staying in. We found slid down the side of the building, human poop. On the floor, there was a pile of human feces. Someone had leaned over the railing of the apartment, and popped a squat. They took a giant stanky ass shit. That should have been a red flag there not to move in, but we had already signed the contract before seeing this. We reported it to the staff, and all that we got was a "sorry". The day I moved in, there was water leaking from the roof into the apartment. If you want to have wifi/cable, try having to wait over a month to get it. This apartment complex limits you to choosing from two cable companies. One never answered when we called, the other is taking a month to install wifi and cable. I looked up the companies reviews online, and they have 1.3 out of 5 stars. What a joke. If you are looking for random fees to be charged to you. Come live here and get robbed of your money through bull crap fees. I was charged an admin fee of 75 dollars, so they could swipe my card at the office. If you want to get ahold of the office. Try calling at least three times during the day, and if you're lucky, they will answer the third call maybe. read more
