My schedule's always tight, so the fact that they stay open later than most places and were able to fit me in last minute was huge. My first time here! My regular nail Lady was out of the country so I found this salon due to the great reviews. I usually get a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pricing was great and I was happily greeted as I was a walk in. They are open later than other salons so I was happy about that. The manicurist was friendly and did a good job. This place is horrible. At first, I would think that I would like it. I went to get a pedicure and manicure. At this point, I thought it was a nice place, I had been going there for over 2 years. But this time, it makes me want to never go to any places that are related to River Nails. So this time that I went to go get a pedicure and manicure as I said beforehand, though this time ever was going well during the manicure. But when we got to the luxury massage for the pedicure was when everything went wrong. Now this might be a problem of them possible not entirely understanding english. During the luxury massage, it felt as if they were doing it hard and rough. Now, after a tiny bit of time, it started to hurt. It has verbally told them that it hurt and that I wanted them to stop. Though each time, they had just ignored it and kept going. This now left me with bruises the next day! When we went back to tell them, it seemed like they didn't care. Also, I had told them it was from the roughness of the massage. (Which massages shouldn't even be rough enough to give anybody bruises!) Though they decided to tell me that maybe I was just allergic to the cream that they had used. But I think that I know the difference from an allergic reaction to bruises from the time that I've lived. During that, they were laughing! I feel insulted . I have been here several times for pedicures and to have my nails dipped. My last time getting nails done was horrible. After two days, four nails were chipping. I approached the owner that had done my nails and she wasn't interested in making it right. She simply filed the chipped part down and then my nail shape was weird. Now, less than 24 hours later they are chipping again. She should have re-dipped the the nails in question. I understand things happen but it's up to the business to correct their work. Same day, during my entire pedicure, the nail tech was watching an Asian sale live on Facebook, paying more attention to it than her job. I asked her what she was watching, she said she wanted to buy stuff! I find it incredibly rude when I'm there for a service and they're preoccupied. It's especially irritating when I have to listen to her sale babble while there is music playing in the salon and the tv is playing family feud. Not a relaxing experience at all. I don't like to give poor reviews, but after I gave Holly a chance to fix my nails after the chipping and she claimed there was nothing she could do I was really upset. I liked their late hours and lower prices, but I guess you get what you pay for. My friend recently had the same issue with early chipping and started going somewhere else. Bill managed to squeeze me in today when I called at 9:30am. I sat for my appointment at 11am. I had gel over my natural nails, but one broke. So he took off the gel and added one acrylic nail and suggested to do an overlay to keep my natural nails strong. I asked for bubble bath and he found the color immediately. I have been coming to River Nails since they opened three years ago. Throughout the years the service has declined and the techs that they hire are terrible. There has been more than one occasion where I have had to have my pedicure redone or reshaped. In fact the last time I was there the woman that did my pedicure took less than five minutes on my toes and was going to be done if I had not complained. Most recently as of today I had an appointment at 10:30 I called to see if I could come in a bit early as I was running early and I was told I did not have an appointment. I explained yes I did I told Holly the exact conversation word for word that I had with her husband Bill in regards to my appointment. It is a birthday and I am going on vacation so it is dire that I get my nails done. Not only have I been a long time loyal customer I have referred countless people to this business. Well let me start off by saying that I adore Holly every time I come in she does my nails above and beyond to my liking. I've been coming here for about the last year and a half since I've moved to the side of town from Seattle Washington. Usually when I go in and I'm greeted nicely, customer service starts off amazing I forgot to get her name but she is a older woman that works there and today I went in for my nail appointment which I do admit I was late for so I scheduled again with Holly for later I decided to get a pedicure so that I wouldn't have to get it done later. I start to get my pedicure she's soaked my feet takes my nail polish off. I didn't really get the exact pedicure that I'm used to it felt like she's soaked my feet and she used the electric nail file to takeoff my gel, usually when I come in they takeoff my gel polish she usually files little bit on top and she puts on the acetone on top. I didn't let it bother me though so I left it alone. Once it got to her actually cleaning my feet and cleaning underneath my toenails I feel she did not do. I asked her if she's going to clean underneath my toenails she tells me yes she never does it. She begins to get to the step where they're doing the callus remover and the touch was so soft she barely even got any skin off because once I left and touch the bottom of my feet they were still dry and still undone. So I just sit back and finish getting my pedicure she gets to painting the gel and I noticed that my pinky toenails are uneven one of them is bulky with a lot of nail polish on it the other one she filed down all the way the rest of my toes were not even some were square and filed the others were round shaped and uneven. There was gel nail polish all around my toes that she didn't even clean up to the point where I just told her it's fine I'll finish my own pedicure at home which I shouldn't have to, I've been coming here for a while and usually when I come and get my toes done I leave and my toes are sparkling but today my toes were not they were half done and rushed my pedicure was nowhere near the half hour that I'm Used to them taking on my toes. I scheduled my appointment with Halle for 7 PM and when I go back I'm going to have somebody fix up my feet. Update I changed it to one star I rescheduled with Holly she told me she wouldn't serve me because I was unsatisfied with my pedicure that the first lady did so she refused to see me because she said that I was picky and because I didn't like how her other lady did my pedicure so I would not recommend this place to anybody who likes to go somewhere for a long time especially if they're going to get treated like this because of one time I'm not supposed to just except the fact that my feet aren't done read more

I recently moved to Las Vegas 2 years ago and I noticed this nail shop close by my home. I decided to go in and they did a decent job for the price but truthfully I've had better. I noticed sometimes my nails length or shape is off or the acrylic is not even. This last time however was the Cherry on top for me. I was going to a pool party and just needed a quick pedicure. I wanted to get a fluorescent yellow. When the nail tech started painting my nails she used white as a base to make the color appear even but keep in mind I've had this color several times regular and gel Polish and I've never had a problem. The nail tech put on two coats of white polish. I'm thinking does she know I want this other color? Fast forward one of the owners of the shop told me that's how they do it at this shop. I told her but you didn't tell me nor ask me if I wanted a white base coat. The owner proceeded to say she told the nail tech to do that and I replied That is the issue. You told her I didn't. As the paying customer you should of asked me or let me know how you do things at this shop. She offered to take it off but I said it's pointless that's more of my time wasted when all you had to do was ask but I'll tell you one thing this could be the last nail shop in Las Vegas and I wouldn't go here. read more

I love it here!!! I heard this place opened like two weeks ago and its down the street from my house, so I decided to give it a try; definitely happy I did. The owners are so incredibly nice and welcoming. FYI they give free mimosas/cocktails/wine!! They have a huge range of gel colors to choose from and also have things like holographic gel! I'm very picky when it comes to stiletto shape but Bill did amazing on it! He spent extra time making sure each nail was even, and as sharp as I wanted. I came for a gel fill, and the prices are pretty normal, but since its still a new business, they're offering 25% off on all services. I definitely recommend giving it a try! So I went to this nail salon about a week ago. I went in and customer service started off amazing. The guy that was servicing me was very friendly and made great conversation. I got a pedicure at first and told him that I had cut my nails so I knew that gel wouldn't have been an option. So I asked him if I could get thin acrylics with gel on top and he says "no problem, easy". After my pedicure he start doing my acrylics. The acrylics came out pretty decent, except for my right ring finger was a little thick, but I wasn't complaining. So he started doing my gel.. when he started painting my nails it started to get pretty messy. He started to paint on my skin at this point. And then I asked if he could clean up the edges so it didn't look too messy and he again said "no problem, easy". He proceeds to clean it with a DRY brush, no acetone on it. This made it worst! And then used his own nail to try and clean it up. Worse again. So he ask me "is it better?" And of course I said no. And I try to explain to him what the issue was and he starts to get frustrated with me. I did not once complain, I simply asked him to clean up around the edges and let him know what I felt needed to be fixed. I wasn't angry or anything. Still, my nails came out pretty messy. He got it even at the tip of my fingers. Not too sure how. So he tells me "okay Im not gonna charge you for your nails just your pedicure." Let it be known, that was not my intention, but I felt that was only fair being that the service provided was not to the best of his ability and that the issue was still not resolved. Keep in mind that I am paying almost $80 for both of these services. So that was that and I didn't Have too much me time left as I needed to get back home to my kids. So as we're getting up, the cord under his table rubs against my left big toe so we had to fix it. While he was fixing it, I let him know that he did a great job on my acrylics but I wanted to show him exactly what it was that was bothering me cause maybe we had a miscommunication. He snaps back and says "didn't I say that I wasn't going to charge you? So don't worry about it." So at that point I just shut my mouth. Keep in my that after he fixed my toe, that didn't even come out that great either. As I go up to pay, another employee asked if everything was okay and if there was anything she could do to help. So I explained to her the situation and she says "okay no problem ill fix it for you for free." That was a great gesture but I felt that I shouldn't have to be charged extra to fix something that wasn't my fault. So I kindly thanked her and let her know I needed to get home. I had been there well over two hours.. then i give the guy my card and he inserts it. Then the owner walks in and he takes my card out really fast. And the owner is trying to reconcile with me and I again had to explain my situation and then he says "okay I'll fix it for you" and I told him "it's okay I have to get home" then the guy who did my nails says "just talk to him because if I don't charge you for your nails I will get in trouble." Umm, WHATTT?! I'm so confused at this point. So I just tell them all that I have to go and the owner offers me free services next time I come in. So I asked, "okay so what am I being charged today?" And he says "the pedicure is $28 and I'm charging you only have for your nails, which is $23, so $51 altogether." I am beyond pissed. I feel like I shouldn't have had to pay that much for that kind of service and treatment. So I pay and leave. I don't EVER post bad reviews because I always give places the benefit of the doubt. I had my nails done with tips and gel polish. 3-4 days later one came off, I went back asking to get it replaced as it had only been 3-4 days. They replaced it and then tried to charge me $5 and I told her no that that wasn't fair ! She said it's not their fault I broke one.
