Megan and Heather are both very friendly and extremely professional. The maintenance team is always there when you need them and have great response time. If our circumstances had not changed we would still be living there. I almost forgot the most important thing was our pups paw of approval. We miss you

Oh, and a 2-car garage! There are two styles, this a "condominium style" and the other a hotel style (one main secure entrance and all the separate apartment entrances are inside. No longer have to do yard work, snow removal, don't have to repair or replace appliances, don't have to pay for weekly pool service or an annual gym membership. Need something, just "call the team." They are polite and prompt to respond. Close to shopping, restaurants, casino and downtown area. Cable included! Electric, gas, water, sewer and garbage are an additional charge but National Grid is around $110/mo and the other utilities/garbage average less than $50 month. If I could have anything different, it would be a different style refrigerator, the upright with freezer on the top (and no ice maker) doesn't provide much freezer space. Without reservation, we recommend the Reserve at Glenville for a peaceful, beautiful lifestyle! And if you decide to live here tell the Rose and Jon referred you (and we'll split the referral bonus)!

They don't hire professional people to repair their buildings, they use cheap labor .Don't rent or lease from these people you'll regret it,it to bad the apartments at 11 Fremont Street cod be beautiful but Maddalone is letting them turn into slums !!!!!!

If I could give a negative star I would. Im a current renter in Amsterdam, and am beginning to hold…read morethem accountable to EVERY SINGLE TENANT RIGHT created by the NYS Attorney Generals Office. We have lived here five and a half years, but are unable to leave right now due to finances. I've called the health department before, in addition to the code enforcement department JUST to get something fixed after contacting maintenance multiple times. When something arose again, it only took me threatening to call the health dept to get them here bc they knew I would do it. Right now I'm handling our right to know the banking info for our security deposits. I'm getting the run around on something they should have the info about as soon as I ask. For anyone who isn't aware, ANYONE who rents is supposed to have their security deposit placed in an interest bearing savings account separate from the landlord/property managers money. You are to be given the name and address of this bank, which HAS to be in NYS. You are also to be given the account number so you can keep track of the activity of the account. You are to be given this information within 14 days of paying your security deposit, which can ONLY be the equivalent of first months rent, not first and last months rent. So yeah, Maddalone has broken a MULTITUDE of NYS tenants rights, and I am on the road to making it right for myself and all the tenants in my complex.

My wife and I lived here for 9 years before finally purchasing our first house. We selected this…read morecomplex out of many in the Capitol District because they allowed "large" dogs. For us, that meant our Golden Retriever could come with us. Not many seem to allow them, but parent company Solomon Organization has many units that do. Our rent was reasonable at the time, and still was when we moved out. We had a 1-bedroom with den. They usually tried to raise our rent by a little every year but my wife successfully negotiated down or entirely canceled the amount of the increase. We noticed that their property manager seemed to change every couple of years. This was somewhat frustrating as we would try to build a relationship with them and instead we frequently had to re-explain things. This was especially problematic because they insist on a 60-day notice for renewals but sometimes wouldn't get you the renewal paperwork until there were only 30 days left on your lease. They once lost our paperwork (thank goodness I had a spare copy to show we signed it) and that led to a weird situation where our lease was extended to mid-month. They usually were prompt about maintenance issues, but not always. Some items had to be requested over and over because the fixes were never very good (flaking drywall on corners, etc.) They offered to repaint our unit at least once but we would have to empty it first... how does someone do that? They also offered to redo our outdated kitchen and replace our carpets but again we couldn't live there when they did that. Huh? We had good neighbors on one side and bad neighbors on the other. Management did nothing to stop the kid screaming and running after midnight above us or the tiny barking dogs next to us. People stay there a while, so hopefully your neighbors will be nice. The facilities (pond, pool, rec. facility) are okay but not great. We stopped using the rec. facility because it was small, and the pool is frequently filled with kids so we didn't go often (I guess that isn't the fault of the complex though). The ponds were lovely for taking walks. WARNING: you cannot break your lease under any conditions. You can get someone to assume the remainder of your lease but they then need to agree to renew for an additional year. This is very problematic if you are looking to buy a home. We frequently had to decide to either renew our lease for one year OR continue looking for homes. As a result, we ended up paying rent on an apartment for three months after we closed on our home. They will not budge on this issue. If that weren't the case I would have given them 4 stars. Overall, we liked it there and only moved because we wanted a home. I would recommend this place as a great place to live, but be proactive regarding your paperwork and maintenance concerns.

FINAL UPDATE: they illegally rescinded my lease renewal. In the state of NY it is illegal to not…read moreresign a lease if a tenant has made a complaint about health and habitability conditions within a year of lease renewal. They did just that. I am now in the process of suing them. Additionally Donald the property manager is exceedingly unprofessional claiming me complaining about issues was me in mental health crisis and stated to me out loud when I handed over the keys "I hope you get the help you deserve". Donald, I hope very nasty things for you. Termites also appeared in my second unit that I was moved into. Cracks in walls.. my electricity bills were about $500 for Jan and February. DO NOT RENT AT TWIN LAKES OR ANOTHER SOLOMON GROUP COMPLEX. THIRD UPDATE 6/10/25 - IVE BEEN HERE FOR TWO MONTHS AND AM NOW WITHOLDING MY RENT PAYMENTS. THERE IS MOLD EVERYWHERE. Nothing has been addressed. My water heater has now busted and flooded my kitchen and downstairs neighbor. The water heater is dated from 2008. If they had done a proper inspection ONE TIME in my apartment none of my issues would have come up. STILL DO NOT MOVE HERE. OUTSIDE VENDORS WERE GIVEN PERMISSION BY MGMT TO ENTER MY APARTMENT WITH 0 NOTICE. I WAS NOT DECENT AND HAD TO PUSH THE DOOR CLOSED. I SCREAMED DO NOT COME IN. THE MAN YELLED HE DID NOT CARE HE WAS COMING IN AND IM A CRAZY BI***. DO NOT MOVE HERE. You all need to rehome Shane. Awful employee. The experience I had looking at apartments vs my experience moving into an apartment has been so deceiving. This place is awful. I am here less than a month and so many things have wrong. I didn't have a deadbolt on my door, it took maintenance over two weeks to get my kitchen drawer to me and finish the first initial maintenance request they dated at complete 4/2... no. It took two weeks. The vent in my bathroom was broken, I am still missing trim around my apartment, the apartment REEKED of cigarettes after the weed smell dissipated from the cleaners who DID NOT CLEAN at all. It was absolutely DISGUSTING. The bathroom was an absolutely a biohazard (human waste on side of cabinet and floor) and now my bathroom sink leaked and everything under there, pack of toilet paper, all hair tools... RUINED. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Place deceives you purposely, I wish I never signed the lease.

PROS: Great neighborhood...animal friendly...close to Universities and hospitals...on the bus…read moreline...full basement with W/D hookups...maintenance is mostly responsive to requests... CONS: The walls are thin so unless you have decent neighbors you'll get sick of them ( I can hear mine pee in the morning from my bedroom). Shoddy upkeep as far as the grounds are concerned. Gutters haven't been cleaned in the 3 years I've been here so the rain water just kind of pours down our back door and steps. Snow removal is a crap shoot and depends on which guy does it (we lose off-street parking spots to mounds of snow in the winter). The paper thin walls, lack of insulation and unsealed doors and windows mean your National Grid bill WILL be ridiculously high in the winter and likewise high in the summer if you expect to stay comfortable inside. (I was actually told that the reason our drywall cracked upstairs was because there's no insulation in the attic where the HVAC exits...really?!) You can tell the walls have been (poorly) painted see earl times between tenants. The only ventilation in the bathroom is the window so in the winter it's a job keeping brown spots off the walls and ceiling (unless you open said window and freeze.) there is no range hood in the kitchen so: 1. The smoke alarm WILL go off EVERY time you cook/pre-heat the oven, etc. 2. Everything in your kitchen/dining/living room will be covered in greasy cooking by-product and will need to be cleaned and wiped down often. Basements get wet when it rains so your washer/dryer will have to be kept up on wood pallets (if you're lucky enough to get them) that will grow mold and need to be replaced often. Also, on maintenance, for all their responsiveness they don't actually do very much to fix what's wrong in the apartments. They show up, take a look and MAYBE do a patch job...maybe. Also, your lease renewal paperwork will be late every. single. year. It will however be "your responsibility" to give a prompt 60 days notice of intent to vacate, or you WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT.
