It was our first time visiting the Adirondacks from our home in Connecticut, and I can honestly say that this visit was the highlight of our trip. The owners were beyond amazing and friendly. The cider donuts alone are worth the trip---they are not to be missed. They have a kid's area (fun for grownups too!) with a hay maze, pumpkin slingshot, duck race and live baby calves. They have delicious honey, candies and other handmade goods for sale, as well as pumpkins and pick your own raspberries. BUT, the icing on the cake was that the owners took our family on a tractor ride. It was the absolute highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this business.

I called, looking for a specific Purina dry dog food, and he didn't have it, but special ordered it for me - it was in in a matter of just a few days. I expected it to be more expensive than the big box pet stores in Concord. I was pleasantly surprised that he beat their price for an 18 pound bag by a couple of bucks. He explained that he tries his best to give customers a better price than most places charge, so he cuts into his profit a bit too do it! You don't find many business owners doing that these days! I'll be buying all my dog food there from now on! Worth going out of your way to get this kind of service!

The staff used to be outstanding--when loading pellets, they would always ask if you needed help, and everyone seemed eager to assist. I'm not sure what changed, but now the only employees I see actively working and offering help are the female staff members. The younger men remain in the back, while an older male employee stands at the rear desk and does not engage with customers or ask if anyone needs assistance. Even when an older woman is clearly struggling to load pellets or dog food, he shows no initiative to help. What was once a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere has disappeared far too quickly.
