Owned by Sardinians, every dish was better than the next. I had the Strangolapreti which was a great balance of light and filling - spinach and cheese dumplings; the calamari was tender with a red sauce with just the right amount of heat; the veal picatta was tender; fresh bread and mozzarella; and the pasta was freshly made and al dente. Terrific hosts. And to made this even better, we sat outside. They have a terrific terrace and you are transported to another site. Great meal. And the pizza rocks as well.

We disembarked our cruise ship, and took a 15min walk into town. This restaurant was in such a unique place, among a neighborhood of all places. We were kindly greeted by the staff who could speak English! Yay! We sat at a cute little table and truly enjoyed the most amazing experience & dinner. We had to tell our waiter that us Americans use Yelp to find great restaurants, so I was going to post a review for them! We started out with a cheese plate and of course wine. I am not well educated on Italian wine but it was amazing. The crust on the pizza was very good with nice bubbles throughout and thin and crusty. The pasta was seasoned with garlic, spicy pepper sautéed in oil and sprinkled with fresh Parmesan. They also have a cafe/bar and desserts. Been to vapiano restaurants a lot and I almost never went home disappointed. Today I tried the pasta estiva and the cheesecake, both very delicious!
