The surfaces look sticky, and there are trails of stepped-on popcorn ground into the carpet. The seats do not recline, so expect an old-fashioned movie-going experience. Although, I've read that if you see a movie in the Dolby theatre, the seats are better, so your mileage may vary. One of the good things about this movie theatre is that it serves beer and wine. I didn't get any during my visit, but maybe I should have. The soft drinks are dispensed at a machine off to the side, and you can pick your flavor of soda. Another neat thing that I noticed: You can order your concessions ahead of time, and they will be ready to be picked up at a little nook off to the side. This would come in handy if you want to skip waiting in line! I don't usually order food at a movie theatre, but I had some food credits burning a hole in my pocket, so I got chicken tenders, mini chocolate chip cookies and pretzel bites for my child. My child originally wanted the Bavarian pretzel, but we were informed that the pretzel is as big as a steering wheel, so we opted for the pretzel bites instead. Who is buying soft pretzels as big as steering wheels? That seems obscene to me. Just make them a normal size? The chicken tenders were actually really good. Maybe my expectations were low for these chicken tenders, but they were fresh and crispy, and you get six big tendies in an order, with your choice of sauce (I chose honey mustard). The mini cookies were served warm, but they tasted a little weird -- almost like they were baked on a pan that had something else on it previously, like chicken tenders. As far as the movie theatre itself: We must have been in one of the smaller theatres, because it felt a little tight in there. But the sound was great, and the temperature was decent, and we generally had a good time.

Why on earth do the seats at Perry Crossing force you to sit up straight like you're in the army? Or some etiquette class? Outside of that, it was clean & the movie quality wasn't janky (trust me I've been to a regal theater & the picture was "ashy & pixelated" like they were showing us a bootleg version ).

The only changes I found this weekend seeing two movies in two days were the butter is now self serve and the refills were discontinued. Wonderful! I really did not want a bunch of drastic changes because I love this theater just the way it is. The old app doesn't work but a new one is coming. The new website is up and running. Plus current showtimes are posted on the windows. Matinee ticket prices are $8 plus our refreshments for two people was only $22.

We bought our tickets on-line and ended up paying a n $8 fee. We should have just bought tickets at the theater and then we could have avoided the fee. There as no line when we arrived. The staff is super nice - down to earth. They offer a number of deals on popcorn and concessions. The theater was super clean. The chairs are comfortable, but not recliners. There are cup holders at each seat. Our view was unobstructed and noise level was low even though there were a lot of kids in the theater. There is a cute little birthday room set up with deals for the kids to get snacks and see a movie. The restrooms were clean (although a number of stalls were non operational. There was plenty of free parking close to the door. The lobby is filled with electronic games to keep the kids occupied before the show. I can't wait to go back without the kids and see an adult show.

There was no one there, surprisingly, and for some reason they didn't allow backpacks inside. It had nothing to do with outside food, they just refuse to even hold on to the bag in some storage or locker or something. Which makes no sense because they are right near a campus, pretty sure that's their whole potential clientele. But that explains why there was no one there, which explains why they can't clean or renovate the premise, no one goes there anymore. Shocker. One ongoing event that's definitely worth checking out is the Tuesday Dinner & Movie night. For $15, you get a candlelit dinner (catered by Scanoli's Cajun and BBQ Restaurant, across the street) and a classic movie. These days, the movie alone would cost you $10! And that means that the $5-dinner, already very good on the palate, was also quite gentle on the wallet. They also show Monday night football on the big screen. Moreover, for most of these events, the bar is open, which means you can enjoy a drink while you watch the movie. Tell me, where else in the US can you do that! I'm sure such places exist, but they're few and far between. For what it's worth, you can also rent out the space for events such as receptions and weddings. I haven't yet been there for something like that. But if it's handled anywhere near as well as the movie night, I'm already a fan.
