They also sell local honey, Indian corn, straw bales, and I'm thinking corn stalks. Don't forget to see the goats! NOTE: they do not accept credit cards at this time, Oct. It says hay…read morerides are on the hour, but we stood near the wagon for a while past the hour and nobody said anything about one. The pumpkins are cute and there's a nice variety. They're priced very fairly too. All employees we encountered were polite and welcoming. We loved seeing the animals at the farm and the corn maze was great fun too. We didn't have small children in our party, but the playground they had set up looked like it would be a lot of fun for the littles.

The corn maze closes earlier than that because it "gets dark in there real fast." Personally I think they should do some sort of haunted corn maze and stay open later, but I'm sure they have their reasons. The patch is your average pumpkin patch. It's fun to roam for a few minutes, but I ended up picking mine from a trailer full. There's a barn with a couple goats and donkeys, and some cute photo props. They also have a hay ride and a little kids train type thing (The rides are an additional cost.) I recommend going when they have live music, because it goes on until 8pm. They have a beer garden, so you can enjoy the evening with music and some beautiful outdoor lighting. Fun for an evening date that's not a far drive- especially if you live on the west side.

We ate apple cobbler and bought a 1/2 peck of Johnathan apples to make apple pies. My granddaughter learned how to make apple pie and now makes a better apple pie than her grandmother. They offer U-pick apples & Pumpkins or if you're in a hurry they're ready to grab from the red barn. Pumpkins are super reasonably priced at $.40 a Lb or pie pumpkins for $3. The concession stand is open on Saturday & Sunday. I love the fried biscuits with apple butter & of course you must get the apple cider slushies!! I don't remember seeing it prior, but they had apple cobbler warmed up with ice cream, delicious! I just love this place so much! ****4.25, because the .25 matters****…read more I had the opportunity to visit Beasley's during their fall festival. Each weekend supports a different theme, so check their site before you go! For an entry price of $15 (varies, check the site) I was pretty satisfied. The ticket price gets you a total of 5 apples to launch out of the apple cannon, a hayride to a beautiful field of flowers & pumpkin patch, some outdoor games, a maze, and a jump pad for the kids in the family. I've become accustomed to orchards having giant slides so they did lose points there. The parking situation needs to be roped off as people really pushed the limit on how close to the drive path they could park, so they lost points there too. Overall I genuinely enjoyed my time at Beasley's and will recommend to my friends. A special thank you to our tractor driver Nolan! He had such an upbeat and fun spirit! He was fun, patient, and gracious enough to take pictures for us. 5 stars for Nolan.

I bring the kids to Spencer Farm to pick berries in the spring. The kids eat more than they put in…read morethe basket! This was my first visit to the farm for fall season and pumpkins. I was looking for heirloom pumpkins for decor and for a still life painting. The crew was watering the mums when we arrived before noon opening on Sunday. The mums were luscious and just starting to bloom. A cart selling Noble Coffee had a lazy aging dog sleeping underneath. Pumpkins and gourds lined the building in neat rows. I found a blue pumpkin that I needed. When the shop opened, kids headed towards the fields for pick your own pumpkins. I was surprised that raspberries were still on the vines for you pick. I headed into the shop to look around. Spencer bottles and sells their own salad dressings and preserves. Fall and Christmas giftware was out. But, a case full of pies caught my eye. Peach, blueberry, cherry, apple and more. I selected a slice of blackberry. I enjoyed my pie outside on their little patio. The pie was delicious. (They The They also sell fudge and ice cream.) The winery is a new addition since my last visit. The winery wasn't opened, but I will check it out on my next visit. Spencer Farm is a great place to visit and pick up fresh produce.

I had the chance to accompany a friend to Spencer Farm for a relatively brief visit. While it was pretty brief, I was impressed. Spencer Farm was started by, you guessed it, the Spencers - Lori and Kyle. It started out as Spencer's U-Pick in 1982. They started out with strawberries. By 1986, they moved to a new farm on Cherry Tree Road. They expanded to include red raspberries, black raspberries, blueberries, and chrysanthemums. They've added pumpkins, asparagus, grapes, Christmas trees, and their son founded a winery that now also sits on the farm grounds. Spencer's now does pre-picked, you-pick, and wholesale fruit. In 2008, they further expanded the farm with a variety of Indiana products including ice cream, fudge, pies, jams, jellies, etc. As you can tell, I immediately wanted to see their sunflower field. I love, love, love sunflowers. One of the reasons I'm not particularly a farm dude is because farms are seldom very accessible. While Spencer's isn't perfect, there's a STRONG effort here to be accessible. I was honestly surprised and impressed. You could send me to the gift shop, and I could be a very happy camper. I will note that they have a strong photography policy. It's on their website, but if you're taking professional equipment I'd read the policies first as there are requirements. There's an awful lot to love here. The people are friendly. The farm is well laid out and surprisingly accessible (the fields obviously have some issues - they're fields). There's accessible parking close to the entrance. This would be a great place for families. Children should definitely enjoy it. There's a strong element of faith here, and that's radiated in the beauty of the surroundings and the service.
