This is a must-visit spot in Taormina. I believe Bam Bar is absolutely WORTH THE HYPE. Not because you feel as though you're in a filming location of "The White Lotus" (which you are), but because I whole-heartedly believe their granita is some of the best in Sicily. So creamy. So flavorful. I'm typically not a fan of whipped cream, but their "Crema" (basically whipped cream) on top was so soft and sweet that it'd be a crime to not have it added to your granita (for no additional charge). I went twice in one day, and both times I got a combination of Strawberry and Nutella with "Crema" on top (you must ask for this) and with a Brioche (to dip into the granita, of course). Add Bam Bar to your Sicilian itinerary.

Everything we tried was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the whole experience was so much fun. The atmosphere is colorful, lively, and full of Sicilian charm, and it's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. If you're in Taormina, do not leave without stopping at Bam Bar for a granita (and brioche!). It was one of our favorite stops in Sicily and a place we'll absolutely return to. Highly, highly recommended!

This place is a pretty large cafe filled with coffe, sweet treats, sandwiches, and of course plenty of different flavours of gelato. I ended up being simple (well, this time) and ended up getting 2 different types of chocolate inside of a waffle cone with a nice piece of wafer on top. What makes this gelato different from some of the other places? Well, Prestige actually puts marshmallow inside of the cone and on the top of it to give this gelato a little bit of an edge. The gelato itself was very good (not the best I've had in Italy, but still good) and it was even better when you got to the marshmallow part of the cone. This is a nice little cafe that's definitely worth hitting up if you want some gelato or a coffee. I can't comment on the other treats but they sure did look good. If I ever end up back in Messina, I'll be coming back to give them a try.

The 3 of us ordered some gelato, Aperol Spritzes, and 2 cannolis. I was not expecting the cannoli we received! They don't fill the shells with the ricotta until you order them. Then, after filling, they dip the ends into this awesome pistachio, chocolate, and crushed nut mixture. This is not a small cannoli by any means! The Aperol Spritzes were refreshing, the gelato was superb, and the cannoli was decadent! A must try!

After being seated, we were never provided a menu of any sort and actually sat for several minutes before someone came by for our order, still with no menu. Regardless, we knew we were ordering granitas, brioche, and the arancini. Granitas - They verbally gave us a limited list of what flavors were available. We tried the almond, strawberry, pistachio, and limon. All flavors were delicious, not overly sweet, and very refreshing. A lighter more slush like version of gelato. Brioche - The brioche here is light and delicious, served warm, and is an amazing accompaniment to granitas. Definitely order one to balance out the granita if it gets too cold. Arancini - The ragu arancini is absolutely amazing. It was actually the better of the three items ordered in my opinion. I came for the desserts, but found myself fully enjoying this item more. The ragu is hearty and the flavors robust. A masticating delight of flavors. If you're not a smoker, definitely try to top for a seat indoors. Sitting outdoors will likely expose you to several patrons and even passersby or individuals sitting on nearby benches to cigarette smoke. Overall, the food and desserts here are amazing. I wish I had the stomach and time to try more of what they had to offer. Everything looked amazing and all seemed to be very reasonably priced.
