Well organized and effective, but not professional. I started my treatment in 2015, spent 6880 CAD in total. Guess what, I barely had the chance to see Dr. Luis. He checked my status every now and then in 1 or two min within my two years of treatment. What was worse, they changed my doctor without even noticing me at the last stage of my treatment. I told the new doctor my bite was not good, my jaws were sour. But the new doctor told me everting is fine. I was like, what???? Also, they put a metal wire on my teeth for retention after my treatment, telling me it will last lifetime. That is so not true, the wire fell off recently and I can not even find a place to fix it. read more

High-pressure sales but they don't listen or communicate effectively at the meeting. They just want to be sure they get your money. They are only in the office a couple days per week so it is difficult to get an appointment. Expect your child to miss school for every appointment. Every time my child went in to get their braces adjusted, they had to return to get something corrected. For example, they didn't clip a wire close enough and it went into the cheek. And if they are in pain, your option is to drive for a couple hours to another location or leave them in pain for several days. My child's teeth are straight but they seem to be at a weird angle. If you decide to talk to them about work, make sure you talk to a second orthodontist to determine whether you are paying too much. read more

See Addendums below for an update. Hello, to whom this may concern. My experiences with RiteBite orthodontics has been disappointing and I am overall disappointed with the services in general. I went to them since they have overall a high review rating and payed upfront for everything. My son decided to get Invisalign, and things at first seemed ok. However the product kept breaking, not once or twice but almost the entire set they ordered. The end result was they had scanned his teeth wrong, not only once, but twice. I was not informed of this until much later. Now, I on a few different occasions requested to speak to someone in charge, but they never make an effort to call back, follow thru with anything related to frustrated person with legitimate contractual frustrations. Now I'm not blaming the receptionist, she only takes the messages. I did state that I wanted to speak to someone about the issues at hand before moving forward. I have not been contacted by anyone. Even thou the receptionist took my name and number. They ordered the Invisalign without my consent, cause I wanted to state I wish to take my services elsewhere. However none of those issues as before mentioned where resolved. As well the Invisalign was ordered a second time without my consent. But now I'm seeking a full refund, since the services rendered we're substandard by management, and the way things handled by them are overly frustrating me. Addendum A-1. I did speak with the new manager on a couple of occasions the week of September 10. However it was mostly phone tag, and no resolution at all. I've done several follow up calls, but the receptionist is giving me excuses she's always busy or putting me on hold. Or I leave messages which is ignored. Today Oct 12, I was put on hold for nearly 45 minutes until I hung up. As I am working, and need to take calls for work. The receptionist also informed me that the new manager was trying to contact me. I have received no emails or phone calls. Yet clearly they have my contact information as I had received an previous email from.anothwr manager. Also the manager doesn't have an direct extension to call to. Addendum B-1. Attention people with special needs, expect the accomodations regarding the conditions you may have, are not likely to be followed. I say this on the basis I educated them verbally on a few occasions, and for example, the receptionist did not take down the information on the computer. Had this been done, a lot of barriers such as; Attitudinal, communication, and informational barriers from this office, could have been prevented. read more

I had a consultation free on September 17th 2020 for my Son (10years old) and the doctor have said the cost will cost between $4000+ - $5000 but nothing then $5000. I was assured of that cost in the back of my mind as i was comparing the orthodontist i had in the past treatment for myself. They also said they will apply $1000 promotional discount when iam ready to come back for treatment. Then the doctor said to come back when his teeth falls out, and i notice alot have fallen out so i contact the doctor and let them know them my son is ready for treatment. That day, i had my three kids, 2 dogs and myself so i was quite busy and i had my son just went in the office without me. When my son was done for the doctor to look at the second visit, they didnt tell me anything weather they did anything extra such as x-ray or cost again before i proceed. These were work they did that i didnt know, they just said, the doctor will look at son and see if he will go ahead and if so, we will let you in to discussed. I was not aware that they did some work on him to start off, if so, if he walk out and i would say, let me think about it as the price is too high and get back, there is nothing that i should pay as i do not agree to the price because it was not the same quote. So i sat down and they quote me $5888 i was a bit surprise as i thought it might be higher then i thought, so i said, i will just sign it and come home and make adjustment with price if they are wrong about the quote as i didn't really remember what was the price and wanted to make sure that it was that range. I call them the same day to come back to pay deposit $1700 deposit and left. I called them back and said i found the paper that quote i wrote down and why is this time higher. They informed me that they apply $1000 promotion so its $4888, but the promotion was suppose to be apply in the range $4000-$5000 not $5888 - $1000. I felt cheated, putting the price higher and deducted it to make it seem like it a promotion when its not. My son is only 10 years old not a mature adult where teeth need alot of time to adjust, his teeth mostly fall out which also make it easier to adjust. I felt rip off, cheated and unhappy as iam the client and need to trust that they are giving me the promotion and that it fit my budget. They now, said i have to pay $315 if i back out of the contract. I asked them to match the price of another dentist but they decline as i mention i will just go to Toronto to safe me $1000 instead of paying $1000. If a client feel they cannot afford that much, its the client satisfaction to withdraw from the treatment. Iam being honest and upfront and they try to charge me x-ray and all consult when that is free that they informed me. How can you give a consultation without x-ray or further assessment . You would have to do that to let the client know if the patient is ready. Even buying a home that cost million of dollar have a 10 day grace period. I told them to hold off to sending the tray off for the mold and now they charging me for all the time they wasted and that their work is not free. If i had known for the second visit take my son home and said sorry this price does not match the one you give me, there nothing they can do about it. How is it fair when you are not upfront with contract then take my son in for treatment. If the number is shown later, then the client can walk away, but i trust that your professional they will match the quote if i get back. But they didnt and rather let their client walk out being rip off and feel taking advantage off. I call back and ask why is it $5888 this time and was not sure if this is taxed? They said they dont have tax and price is firm. They also said they price match as well but they didnt as i didnt provide them detail document rather told them verbally. So then from there i felt rip off or not the price that i was inform because its a big gap of $2000-3000 extra out of my pocket. I was honest to tell them i cannot afford if $5888, it was suppose to be $4000-$5000 with the promotional code to reduce it between $3000-$4000. Even if they charge me $315, x-ray does not cost that much, and paying hourly rate for people to do the work does not add up to $315. I finished my orthodontic treatment this month and the team at Ritebite Orthodontics were great! Their systems are very organized and I really liked the online account system and especially the email reminders (they are a life saver!). They made my appointments seamless. The whole team is a lot more friendly and professional that a lot of other medical offices that I have been to. Most of my appointments were spent with the orthodontic technicians, with Dr. Piedade checking in, and overseeing the whole operation- a very efficient way to manage the high volume of patients although i would have liked to interact with him a bit more. There were some punctuality issues and a long break during my mid-course adjustment, but all in all my experience was very positive and I am now much more confident in my smile. Ritebite is and probably looks like a great place to get orthodontics treatment done. The staff and dental associates of Dr. Luis are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming, and you're always greeted with smiles. The rewards system and free cookies might be a nice touch for some people, though I never saw the point of it. Just be aware that Dr. Luis on the other hand is a *complete supercilious lightweight* with minimal social skills. You will barely spend time with him, usually near the beginning to take your money or near the end when you finish your treatment, and perhaps 30 seconds every now and then to check your progress (and believe me on that). For the majority of your treatment you will see one of his associates, and even this is erratic since you are not guaranteed to see the same person you worked with during your previous appointment. If you are looking for something personal and consistent, this place might not be for you. In retrospect he should of been a business man! read more

I would not recommend this orthodontist. Make sure you look at the 1 star reviews on their facebook page. My daughter - 10 - had ongoing issues with the way that the staff treated her, and is now afraid of going back. We just changed orthodontists because of the awful treatment that she received and the way that the staff - especially one of the office managers - behaved. I strongly recommend taking your business somewhere else. Especially if you have a younger child. It was truly awful. read more
