A line formed behind me. After several minutes she told me to step to the next register as she was on that. The one in front of me was not closed off with a sign but I stepped over. I was purchasing a chef's salad. I asked for 2 french dressing packets. She told me there would be a .70 cent charge after the first one. She was not polite but matter of fact to the point. I told her in all my years this was the first time I heard this and was she new? She said no, she has been there over 3 years on night shift and if other staff was giving me 2 packets they were ripping off the store. I have never seen this girl before. She was just rude to me. So I will take my business next door from now on. Her name is Bri.

We stopped to pick up a sandwich for lunch and were so surprised by the variety of offerings here. Not only cane you get numerous sandwiches made to go (or eat at the few tables they have) you can get deli meats, numerous salads, ice cream, wine, beer and other drinks, plus many other items. I ordered a sweet 'n sharp sandwich, which was rotisserie style chicken with lettuce, honey mustard dressing, cheddar cheese and Mayo. It is served on either a hoagie bun, or wheat bread I got the bread and it was so fresh it was wonderful. All the ingredients were plentiful and the sandwich was super tasty. While waiting for it to be made, I saw a bottle of wine that we often drink, and was able to pick that up at a reasonable price. I like one stop shopping! We are only in town for a few more days, but we may have to make our way back there for another sandwich.

I asked her if she could just manually cut me off a piece (of course, not). It obviously wasn't a priority so I had to pass on the meat. (Thank goodness for pb&j's) I was the only customer in the store, by the way. I noticed after I left, and was in my car, she just continued to sip her drink and still not put the slicer together. I have to wonder if they ever sell any lunch meat?! In the future, I'll only go here if no other place is open.

I felt like this store was truly taking safety precautions seriously. The aisles were appropriately marked in one way directions, the staff all had masks on, and I saw employees regularly sanitizing high-touch areas. At check-out they also had plexiglass between you and the cashier. They had an ample amount of registers open, even though it was a not busy time, and I was able to get in and out quickly. Thank you, Giant Eagle, for taking safety seriously during covid-19!
