i used the cvs pharmacy on bennetts mills my whole life cause that's what my family used, and when…read morecvs stopped taking my insurance about half a year ago and i saw the sign on my way to a doctors appointment in the hackensack building saying the pharmacy is welcoming cvs pharmacy patients due to the insurance, that's when i switched to hackensack pharmacy; lets just say thank GOD i did lol i didn't even know there was a pharmacy in this building or that it took my insurance, so finding this out is probably one of the best things that's happened to me cause this place is great; not to mention it's within walking distance! the pharmacists here actually seem like they care and want to help you, and even better; they're actually competent at their jobs! after being at that cvs pharmacy for so long, i just thought all pharmacies were that bad, so switching to here has been great. i was worried at first about there not being an app for the pharmacy but the text notifications work just fine there almost never being a line of more than one person when i'm in here compared to in cvs where the lines were frequently more than 4 people every time i went not even counting the people in the drive through; amazing. being able to wait in the lobby where the bagel place is or walk over to dollar tree while i wait for the prescription to be ready is so convenient, and the wait time is so much faster than cvs too, sometimes at cvs id have to come back the next day and i've never had to do that here i like that the pharmacy is also like a mini shop with a bunch of not just medical/pharmaceutical stuff you can buy, but candy and snacks too; the prices are kinda inflated for most items though unfortunately so i don't see why i'd buy stuff here unless i needed something specific i like going in here (also i love the small blue pill bottles they use)

I dropped my prescription off two days early to get it out of my way only to be told that she can not fill my prescription at this location. I had the same prescription filled the month prior with no issues. Then asked me personal questions like "why I was going all the way to Eatontown to see a doctor for this medication". That is non of your business for starters! I've been seeing this doctor for well over 19 years and I am comfortable with my doctor. She went on to say that my prescription can not be filled because it's coming from a different county and that it's their policy. I live NJ NOT a different state!!!! Why should that matter???? I've never heard of such a thing! Why wasn't this brought to my attention last month when I picked up my medication? She kept telling me that I needed to find a new doctor in Ocean County and that there are plenty of doctors that would prescribe me what I need. NO!!!! We have had the best experiences at the All Wellness Pharmacy over the last 10+ years we've been…read moregoing there. My youngest requires compounded medications due to their extensive medical needs. Lenny and everyone there always gets it right and always reaches out to the doctors and insurance if they need any additional information. Lenny's also helped the rest of our family to track down very important prescription medications that no other pharmacies could obtain, not the big box pharmacy chains and not even the few small independent family pharmacies close to our home. They always go above and beyond to help. There was one time a few years back when Epi-pens were impossible to locate anywhere. Lenny happened to have some in the pharmacy and set 2 aside for my son and I as he knows what severe allergies we both have. We hadn't contacted him looking for them but he knew from our records that was something we definitely both needed. I was very impressed at how far they went out of their way for my youngest and I. Consideration and kindness like this is not something a big box pharmacy is going to provide. I've also found a number of hard to find non-pharmacy items there, like unscented deodorant, unscented soaps and other similar products, dye free OTC medicines and different DME products. The prices on those items were excellent. We live out by Fair Haven but I'd drive anywhere for service like this. I can't recommend them enough!

However... I would recommend you to remember the price of each item you put into your cart. Better yet, take a photo of the item with the price tag on the shelf. Reason is two out of five items the price showing at the checkout are higher than they shown on the shelf. Good thing is the checkout assistant usually honor the shelf price and overwrite the transaction, as long as you show them photo proves and the manager confirm legit. For this checkout issue alone, my review for this location is 3 stars... because price police is not why customers are there for, and it took additional time and effort from the customer. I went to go pick up two prescriptions, one of which was filled, but the other wasn't. I was told…read morethat they would not fill the script because there is an OTC option available. I looked in store, and there was no OTC option available at all. I took a look online, and Walgreens does not even offer that product. I am not sure why my script was refused to be filled for an OTC that they do not carry. Why the pharmacist did not just ask if I would like it filled regardless is beyond me, and it's a sign of disregard for my medical needs. Any time your doctor sends a script, and they tell you it should be ready by the time you get there, you still have to wait a minimum of twenty minutes. Sometimes you're told to wait while they help others behind you. If you call ahead, that does not change anything. If you are a day late, you have to wait for a refill. Honestly, pharmacists get paid way too much to treat their patients poorly, and I think no one should use this pharmacy in its current state. I have used this pharmacy for years and service has only gotten worse.

She totally listened to me, talked to me like I was an equal and was straightforward and honest. At a completely reasonable rate for a 30 min visit. She spent more time talking to me than my "REGULAR" doctor! Not only did she gave me an excellent exam, the medication was sent right over to their pharmacy. It was seamless!
