Compared to surrounding cleaners, this is the cheapest place to have your dry cleaning done... and they don't ruin your belongings. Best part of this cleaners is Addy. He is one of the nicest people you will ever encounter. This is one of those places that understand that whom you put as the face of your business, to attend to your customers, matters greatly. read more

Yes, I have experienced better. It's right up Dresden at Pro Cleaners. The staff isn't the friendliest around, but they didn't do a bad job with the cleaning. It was a little pricey, but what will keep me from going back is that they just didn't seem to care if they had my business or not. I could barely get the guy to talk to me at all about what I was dropping off, when it would be ready, etc. Maybe he was having a bad day. He probably needs to walk next door to Mom & Pops and get a Choco-Taco or something. read more

Do not use this cleaner! I was a long time customer who spent a lot of money monthly for cleaning. Recently, a new shirt came back and it had been accidentally stapled to the bag, ruining the shirt. No chance to argue this was my fault -- they stapled my shirt to their dry cleaning plastic bag! The really nice guy at the counter told me he would call the owner about it and let me know what she said. When I next saw him, he told me the owner said that they would not even give me a refund, much less pay for the shirt ruined by their accidental stapling. Unbelievable! I have tolerated other mistakes over the years with this place because I valued the drive-in and liked the employees, but I will not give another dime of my money to a business owner who treats customers like this. Take my advice -- do not do business here. read more

Save yourself the frustration. I had been going to this place since moving back into the area. Good prices and that's about where it ends for me. I recently dropped off some dress shirts and after pickup, discovered a 2" tear down the left sleeve of one of the shirts that I'm 100% confident was not there when I dropped it off just a week or so before. Accidents happen, so I was confident we could resolve it. I discovered this on a work trip and called Rita's multiple times while on the road, leaving a message mentioning the issue. After not hearing back, I stopped in the next day to bring the shirt by only to be told I would not receive any store credit nor reimbursement of any kind for the shirt. The owner (Rita) was not accessible nor would the staff member provide any contact info to at least discuss/explain the situation. I was simply told to come to pick up the shirt if I still wanted it, end of story. Given I've been a customer here for some time, it's really surprising and disappointing for this to happen with no recourse. Having had this experience, I don't imagine the other 1-star reviews on here are inaccurate. When I pick up my torn shirt today, it will be the last time I step foot in here so if anyone has recommendations for alternative dry cleaners in the area. read more

I moved to Brookhaven in 2007. Rita's Cleaners was the nearest dry cleaner to my house so I gave them a shot. They were on my route home from work and had a drive thru which was a plus. I used them weekly for the next several years without a problem. Then all of the sudden I started finding minor issues with my shirts. The buttons were somewhat chipped off in my shirts and pants. I mentioned this to them and they were not very receptive. In fact, I'm pretty sure around this time the ownership changed hands(but I'm not positive). I spoke to the lady behind the counter and told her I wanted to speak to the owner. She acted like she didn't care and said the owner is only at the store for a couple hours a day, "and he doesn't like to hear about problems." In so many words she said that they didn't care if they got my business or not. I couldn't believe it, especially in this economy. Luckily for me, right around this time another dry cleaners opened up right down the street next to Verde Taqueria. We're talking walking distance close to Rita's. So I gave them a shot and it has been awesome ever since. read more

This is the WORST place. The guy at the front is super nice but can't help the fact that the owner is horrible. I got a shirt for $148 dollars that I wore once and they lost it. I had the receipt showing the shirt had just been purchased but they would only give me $35. I am a frequent customer and had small issues here and there (blazers being uneven, putting a hole in a shirt), but I will never come here again. PS they told me the owner has been sued numerous times over stuff like this. read more

Rita's has saved my casual dress clothes used for work on many occasions, I thought the oil based spray paint was "trash can time" for my dress khakis but nope they got the paint out and cleaned and pressed them for like $6.00! They also will send out for any repairs needed like the time I burnt my favorite black silk shirt with a cigar ash...mended perfectly and not expensive either. LOve this place, forget 99 cent cleaners, Rita's is awesome!!! read more

Eddie, the guy who runs the counter, is the nicest guy ever. The prices are comparable to everywhere else in Brookhaven, the quality is good, and the turnaround time is pretty quick. The lady who used to run the front (not sure if that was Rita) was fine but far from friendly. Eddie, on the other hand, will remember your name and make it an easy, quick, and pleasant experience every time. read more

Great service, good turn around time, and decent prices. The guy that works the front desk could not be any nicer.

Cheapest in this area but the owner/establishment is horrible, incompetent and negligent. I brought in a dress with attached slip. I come to pick it up and the slip is not only detached from the dress but the shoulder strap is completely torn from the dress hanging on a hanger The slip is ruined, and unwearable. I'm pissed obviously and request to speak with a manager or owner. This "happy go lucky guy" is just smiling like a nut saying they aren't going to do anything about it.. he is "sorry". I tell him that "sorry " isn't going to cut it. I need to speak with a manager or owner. He tells me to come back the next day. I tell him I can come back the next day at 5 pm. He replies "Thats fine, I will tell the ManagerI. I come back straight from work the next evening at 4:50 pm. He says no one is there for me to talk to and he spoke with manager and he says it was broken when I brought it in originally. I'm looking at "happy go lucky" like he is crazy at this point because he knows this is ridiculous.. why would I bring a dress with a broken detached slip to the cleaners. The day it was brought in, I physically handed him the dress he took it from me, held it in front of himself and proceeded to hand me my pick up slip. The slip was not detached or broken. We both agree to this but he says it's out of his hands. It's so frustrating that my dress is ruined and the cleaners could care less. read more

Worst service ever! Lost a shirt & then told me they "miscounted" when I dropped them off... To bad I counted them BEFORE I dropped them off. Enjoy going out of business! read more

I tried out this dry cleaner once. They did a good job; however, I was a little surprised that they quoted me three days before I could pick my clothes up. The prices were average for the area, but I would expect to have a discount for the wait. Maybe I just came on a busy day. read more

I really cringe to leave a one star review, but I just gotta. Rita's was awesome for years and then the folks working the front changed. I had not one, but two pairs of pants that were completely ripped by them on different occasions. When I got the pants back and asked, I got a shrug of the shoulders and told it was my fault - I probably just didn't notice it. I think I would remember ripping a giant hole in my pants and if I didn't, I would notice the giant gaping hole as I always go through each piece of clothing to look for stains and make sure everything is out of the pockets when I drop off my clothes. I was flabbergasted at how rudely I was treated that I stood there, mouth gaping open, eyes blinking, until someone else drove up and snapped me back into my reality. Beyond rude for a weekly customer who patroned your place for years. To be fair, I've only seen this lady for the past couple of months but I knew it was no use to try and talk to anyone else anyway. The first time it happened, it seemed like a genuine fluke so I kept coming back. The second time, the way I was treated - heck no. With tons of competition and folks with similar pricing, I hate to bid Rita's adieu after many years together, but I must. read more

I would never take my clothes here again! They were not friendly about their mistake when they ruined a piece of my clothing. read more

Was a regular customer, until when I realized I left a money clip in my pants. Went back to ask for it and it was no where to be found. The pants with the clip had both back pockets buttoned when I dropped them off, but the only one that didn't contain the money was still buttoned. The manager and the owner refused to talk to me, ie they saw free money and took it. Hope losing a customer was worth it, loose a regular customer for less than $200. read more

Avoid this dry Cleaner place. Very bad costumer service from the lady that work upfront. They do terrible job and messed up your clothes. Better go to pro cleaner, about 5 minutes walking distance from this place with better treatment and services. Never again come to this place, you have been warned. read more

Never gets the piece count correct and couldn't be more rude when dropping off or picking up. Don't forget that they'll refuse to accept a credit card for anything less than $15-20 even though the sign says, "we prefer cash". They'll get your clothes clean and will do it in a very reasonable amount of time, but expect a bad attitude at the door. read more

Let me start out by saying that I cringe leaving a 1-star review. In fact, I've never done so. Unfortunately, Rita's lost a $90 Brooks Brothers shirt of mine. I dropped it off to get cleaned with a number of other shirts, but it never made it back to me. I went to chat with the woman that is always at the counter, but she wanted nothing to do with the situation. After nicely explaining my situation, she told me about their count process and how losing a shirt wasn't possible. I left after getting no-where and said I would double check everywhere around my house again. After returning a couple weeks later, I asked if my shirt had turned up anywhere on their premises. She said no, and again explained how the count process works and how "This has never happened". Judging from the reviews here on yelp, that doesn't appear to be true (I let her know about that as well). She also informed me that the owner "doesn't want to hear from any customers, unless there is proof of a problem". This "proof" will never happen, unless you count every item at the drive-thru. They actually do a good job with the dry cleaning, but be careful because you won't get any sympathy if anything goes wrong. I told her that I've brought way more than $90 worth of business to her, and would continue to do so in the future, but she didn't care. She also repeated that the owner wouldn't want to hear from me. My advice - if you go here, count everything, every time on drop-off and pick-up (kind of defeats the purpose of drive-thru service). Don't expect ANY customer service if you have a problem like mine. I have never heard an employee state that "The owner has no interest in hearing from customers" for any reason. Not the best business model in my book. I'm going elsewhere from now on. read more

SO glad Eddie is back at Rita's Cleaners!! He is so friendly, always remembers my name & my dry cleaning is always perfect now. I endured the unfriendly lady for several years while Eddie was at the other location. My drycleaning was missing several times with her and she sent home other people's clothes with me several times. Yeah for Eddie being back!! read more

I have decided to stop doing business with Rita's cleaners based on the horrible customer service of one employee. I can't say that they did a bad job cleaning my clothes because they actually did a decent job but there is never an excuse for being nasty to customers especially in front of other customers. I'd been taking my clothes to this location for almost two years since moving to the Brookhaven area. I liked the convenience of it being close to home and also because they could provide same day service. I'd been dealing with Eddie, who told me from the first time I visited that as long as I have my clothes in by 8am on Saturday, I could get them back by 5pm the same day. I travel on a weekly basis for my job and this was terrific. So for almost 2 years I've been doing this and I go in on this past Friday 8/21/15 and a female is at the counter. She tells me that I can get my clothes by Monday and when I tell her that I've been getting my clothes back by Saturday at 5pm, she proceeds to tell me very rudely that it couldn't be done. I told her that Eddie had been doing this for me and she says "I don't know how he's been doing that." I told her that if it was a problem I would take my clothes someplace else and she replied "If it was a problem, I wouldn't be counting your pieces." She did all of this in front of another customer. Not only was it rude to be nasty to a customer but to be at odds with another employee in front of customers was very unprofessional!!! I was so upset, that I didn't get her name. I got back into my car and actually considered going back inside to get my clothes but I thought about all of the times that Eddie had been so good to me. I decided that anyone could have a bad day and I tried to let it go. When I returned on Saturday afternoon 8/22/15 to get my clothes, the same lady was there. She completed my entire transaction without speaking one word after asking for my telephone number. It almost made me sick to leave $56.00 of my hard earned money with her and be treated the way she treated me. This was a light week for me because most weeks I pay more than that. I'm sure it doesn't matter to her either way whether I return or not but good customer service goes a long way. I know quite a few people moving to the area who are looking for a cleaner and I won't be sending them Rita's way. read more

I never leave reviews. This is my first. It is so bad that I just have to warn others. I have gone here for over 10 years. They were good many, many years ago. But, now management has changed and they are terrible! First, their prices keep going up. They are way more expensive than their better competition around. Second, they are so rude! Oh, and you better have cash, even though the sign says that it is "preferred" only. I spent $17 last week on 1 dress and 1 pair of pants! Today, I picked up 2 dresses (for $25!), only to find 2 broken straps! They didn't even notify me or give me an "Oops" sticker! Back in the day, they would at least tell you when they messed up. And, they knew they broke the straps because one strap was tied in a knot! They have also ripped my husband's work pants a few times, but, of course, they always deny that. I overlook the clothes so closely before dropping off...it was their fault. They will never take credit for their mistakes, never refund you, and most importantly, they will never say "I'm sorry". They are incredibly rude. But, more importantly, they are terrible dry cleaners!! read more
