The ONLY reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because of the pool and restaurant at the pool. The wine is flowing ;) We had lunch there and it was decent. Not great, but not bad. So, first off, their address on my GPS brought me to the corner of Via Nino Bixio, not the actual location, which is about a block down, behind a veterinary office. They mixed up our reservation and thought for some reason we were two adults with two kids. (No biggie, but the room they set up was nothing I'd have put my kids in, even if they had come. They had makeshift beds out of armchairs. Like the regular bed, they were covered in old comforters.). But I digress... When we found it, we felt pretty good. The entry and lobby were nice and clean. It seemed like it was going to be a good choice. Until we got to the room. The high-speed internet would load Facebook but no video and no email. It was spotty at best. The bed was like a box spring. My husband is super sore today. (We changed hotels to the Best Western down the street--it's much better!) The bedcovers look like they haven't been washed in a decade or more. They literally feel greasy. Gross. I packed a blanket for a picnic and used it. The one armchair was so threadbare, they covered it with one of those comforters, too. The shower had mold all over it. The bathroom had mold and soap/hard water buildup. I washed my face and reached for a towel. Imagine my surprise to find out that they are the same towels used for the bidet. Wth!? The carpets were...well, let's say they should have been replaced twenty years ago. The AC kept up relatively well. Our room came with breakfast, and it was ok. Pastries, yogurt, cheese and cold cuts. Cereal. No juice. Oh they had some delicious figs... For the price, you can do better. We switched to the Best Western down the street and it's awesome.

€100 for 750ml of bottled still water…read more Not recommended. We were here with a tour, and while about half full, was throughly disappointed with the service, and with the food. The table of four request red wine and we had a nice bottle of Sicilian wine for $25 - which we were quite pleased with. Dinner consisted of a seafood risotto followed by a light fish with steamed potatoes. While my tour lead knew I didn't eat seafood, I still received the risotto. When I informed the waiter, I wasn't offered an alternative. When the main course arrived, my fish replacement was an overlooked and rather bland Veal Milanese. Dinner was followed by a lemon dessert. During meal I requested the waiter bring more water to the table at least four times. Each time was acknowledged howeverAs the meal concluded without any water, I found the waiter and offered him €100 .....and pleaded for water. While it took the tour guide to help explain why I appeared angry while offering money for water, the waiter never understood that the money was intended to be a bit of an insult and was certainly not gratuity. There are so many great dining options in Italy - I suggest steering clear of this one and inquiring with friends or a hotel concierge for something better.
