Visiting the restaurant was a huge disappointment. The service was unfriendly and the waiting times were long. The pasta dish was overcooked and tasteless. When we told the waiter that we only wanted to eat and not drink anything, he reacted rudely. When it came to paying, things got even more unpleasant: we wanted to pay the tip along with the bill by credit card, but the waiter insisted on receiving the tip in cash. Since we didn't have much cash with us, we could only give him coins, to which he reacted very indignantly and rudely. This is a very nice restaurant. We had been eating German fare for a couple of weeks and we needed an Italian fix. This place hit the spot. I had mushroom soup which was more mushroomy than anything I have had in the States. The salad which came next was orgasmic in quality. Then we had pappardelle (wife) and mezzelune ai por (me). It seemed that wherever we went in Germany, the food in each restaurant was better than the last. The coffee was great, the beer and wines were first class and the tartufo to finish off was heavenly (which is not an adjective I have ever used before). I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant. We ordered tagliatelle with chicken and seasonal mushrooms. The sauce was definitely finished stuff from the supermarket and tasted basically as glutamate. The mushrooms were not all cooked, some of them were cold and some super hot. Microwave. The pasta was firm and tasted like plastic. The chicken was totally uncooked!!! When we complained about the food and said we would like to not pay for it, the cook almost throw it in our laps. The service was very unprofessional and unacceptable! We won´t ever go to "Vero" again! And hope you won´t either! Ich habe noch nie eine so schlechte Erfahrung in einem Restaurant. Wir bestellten Tagliatelle mit Hähnchen und Pfefferlingen. Die Sauce war definitiv aus dem Tetrapack aus dem Supermarkt und hat im Grunde wie Glutamat geschmeckt. Die Pilze wurden nicht alle gekocht, einige von ihnen waren kalt und einige super heiß. Mikrowelle. Die Pasta war fest und schmeckte wie Kunststoff. Das Huhn war total ungekocht!!! Wenn wir über das Essen beschwert und gesagt hat, wir möchten dafür nucht zahlen, der Koch warf es fast in unseren Schoß. Der Service war sehr unprofessionell und inakzeptabel!
