The decor is kitschy and service is lovely. An extensive wine list that goes with every item on the menu. This is the perfect setting for a lovely romantic meal or catching up with friends. Don't be foolish like me and fill up on the bread plate (it is wonderful), but save room for the bresaola and pasta.

The casoncelli alla Bergamasca was the highlight of the meal. They also paired the perfect wines with our food. We are English speakers with very little knowledge of the Italian language, but everyone made us feel welcome and even made our young daughter feel welcome. The kind waiter picked up all the toys she dropped. Grazie mille! Excellent service and atmosphere. I can't wait to return!

We came into the restaurant at around 12:30 and the place was empty, but every table was reserved. The server, just removed one of the little reserved card, and gave us a table. In about 20 min the whole place would be packed with locals, guess we were super lucky. We ordered their specialty polenta taragna and polenta funghi. The sauce with the duck and rabbit was rich and tasty, and the polenta perfectly cooked. The fungi was soft and flavorful. If you want truly authentic Bergamo cuisine, this is definitely the place to go.
