I was in Milan for business and decided to take a trip to Switzerland. I walked along and found this place cooking polenta outside. It was sitting next to a "gran Padano Bowl". Wow.... The magic they created here!!!
Starters.... Tomato's and onions. I thought it was an interesting way to start a meal...but it must be the soil! Sprinkled with olive oil and balsamic. Delicious.
Main course was the filet with mushrooms, and I had to have the risotto with it. The fillet was tender and flavorful. Mushrooms are always good on steak, and these porcini were no exception. The Risotto.... How cow. Amazing. Not sure how to describe it other than the most delicious risotto I have ever had.
Yes. That is water. It is fun to get the "acua fizzante" - sparkling mineral water. Just the fizzante part!
Of course - tiramisu for dessert with the traditional espresso. I have found that Italians put more sugar than espresso! Makes it quite enjoyable!
Oh...how could I forget...the view is amazing! read more
