We heard this restaurant outside of Genoa had a michelin star so decided to check it out. 20 mins from the center of Genoa. WHAT A MISTAKE! The Vermentino wines from Liguria were amazing, but the food and service worse that a fast casual restaurant in the middle of Timbuktu. Our water glasses smelled not of dirty dish rag, but worse, goldfish bowl stench! For a small restaurant, the service was deplorable. We had to pour our own wine and let them know when we needed more water or wine. The first and main courses came out cold and tasteless. Avoid the Cod. The saving grace of Cook is their homemade bread and their dessert platter. A very expensive meal for bread and sugar. What were these Michelin folks thinking? read more
