We ate here twice and food was very good. Had the same meal each time which barely happens. First night we had reservations and the second didn't. That was our mistake. So Make a reservation. The place is pretty big with limited inside seating. Although most is covered. Service was great from both servers on both nights. Never felt rushed. We ordered the long pizza and salad to share. The salad was a simple big bowl of fresh arugula and we dressed it ourselves with a bit of lemon juice, oil and a white balsamic vinegar. Perfect. We altered the pizza a bit and omitted the tuna and replaced with thinly slice red onions that went with roasted peppers, artichokes and mushrooms. We expected it to come all mixed together and we were wrong. Individual sections each having its own veggie. It was fantastic. Highly recommend. The food was really good but the tables are horrible. If you touch the leg of the table with your knee it will flip the top surface. The bottle of wine spilt all over my girlfriend and I. I would not recommend anything more than takeout from this place. I was very disappointed in the experience and the lack of support from the staff. read more

Overall the food was good. I think if I knew we were getting flatbread pizza, we would have ordered something else. It's a little disappointing to be in an "Italian" community very close to the Italy boarder and not have excellent Italian food. Very nice service 5 stars, both waiters were perfectly hospitable and kind. Pizza 4 stars, I think those that think it's the best in the world haven't tried many pizzas all over the world, but its fine. Atmosphere 4 stars, no water view but nice outdoor seating with warmers but they allow patio smoking so I smelled propane and cigarettes all throughout my meal. Ice cream 3 stars. They had me with 'swiss ice cream' but it's no gelato. Ive had great ice cream but this was just alright. 5 stars for staying open until 11pm. read more

My husband ordered the lasagna which was good. I ordered a salad with French dressing (which was listed on the menu) it came out looking dry. When I asked if there was dressing on it the waiter said "a very little bit." I had to use the oil and vinegar that was on the table. The service was awful. We waited a very long time to order. We would have liked another drink, but the waiter never showed up again. That seems to be very normal at most restaurants in Switzerland. They drop off the food and you never see them again. I had to ask if we could pay. The waiter dropped off the bill and left again. I again had to ask if we could pay and he finally brought the credit card machine over. Very poor service. Pizza quatro formaggio delicious! Mixed green salad solid, ask for lemon and add some olive oil salt and pepper for a dressing. Cappuccinos best we've ever had and yes we just came from italy. Spicy olive oil was good on the pizza if you like a little spice ask the waiters to bring it out. Prices bottle of water 5.50 Cappuccinos 4.00 So be ready, but Swiss prices can be a bit high. A friendly and busy place has a large outdoor seating area. We ordered pizza and beer with a side salad. The waiter spoke good English and really hustled. The pizza was thin crust and excellent. The salad came undressed but they brought a bottle of balsamic vinegar and olive oil to the table so this was easilly rectified. read more

I went there with my family for lunch and it was so good, we went there again the next day. We usually expect less impressive food whenever we dine at such a setting of restaurants in the most popular plaza in town. We checked reviews and the majority of the restaurants in the plaza and majority had none impressive reviews. On the other hand, this restaurant had over 4 star review and we agree. First, the setting is great as it is in the busiest most lively part of the city. The food is excellent! The price is similar to the other adjacent restaurants or less. It is little pricy compared to other part of town but at least the quality is excellent!! The pizzas where so good crust is then and crispy. The brisoula was pizza with thin beef salami and it is amazing. The other pizza with ricotta mozzarella and arugula was amazing too. I must say the lasagna was as good as it gets. Very creamy and melts in your mouth. The procini pasta so tasty and the pasta with chicken mushroom and white sauce was amazing! The gnocchi so fresh and soft with a perfect tomato sauce. Loved it!! My sister and I ordered hot chocolate, hawaii pizza, and the calzone. Everything was delicious and our server very helpful and friendly. My sister is very tiny and our server tried to tell her just how big the calzone was... but everywhere else we experienced rather small portions so she was NOT expecting it to be actually massive. Would highly recommend it if you are nearby. There is also a gelato store right across from it that I was too full to get gelato from, but it looked sooooo good! read more

Late review, but when I visited Lugano a couple weeks ago with my friends, we were looking for a good pizza restaurant. This one, readers, is the jackpot. I always order an eggplant pizza and judge the quality based off crust, cheese, and the eggplant. The crust is AMAZING. It is a thin, crispy crust that just melts in your mouth. The cheese did not just fall off the pizza, which is a good sign. Lastly, the eggplant was grilled to perfection. Absolutely scrumptious. I've traveled all throughout Italy and I must say, that was the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Whenever I crave pizza, that is the one I wish I was having. Perfectly nice place. You're mainly there for the location: it's heavenly on a sunny day in the main square of the pedestrian area. It's pretty typical of a European restaurant in such a location. The pizza was decent: more like a flammkuchen than a typical pizza. Decent topping quality and quantity. Fairly good service. Priced in the Swiss fashion.
