There are so many positive things to say about this center. Let me start by saying that the…read moremanagement at Kiddie Academy of Langhorne is amazing! I'm so glad that my son has Molly and Kara at the head of this establishment to help advocate for him. They have gone above and beyond in helping to make sure parents are comfortable at this center...especially with COVID and the new policies and procedures that are in place. My son started at this center when he was an infant and he's now about 2 and a half years old. Each classroom has its own curriculum, they send out a monthly calendar with activities, I receive pictures daily through the app of my child and I get a report at the end of each day. The communication is exactly what I expect it to be. I love the ladies that have been in his life. Some of them have moved on to other careers, but they've all been great. I wish I could mention all of them by name and tell you a little about each of them, but I'd go on forever!! Kathy does a great job preparing the meals for all of the kids. She sends out a menu for each week and the variety and healthy choices she's making are awesome! I'm completely comfortable leaving my son in the hands of these amazing women, and I'm so grateful that I've found such a great center for my son to flourish in.

I did, and conveniently for the, they could no longer accommodate my kids. Walked away even more frustrated than before. The admission process with ms. alexa was so incredibly smooth. I met the owner and ms. jeneane. she was super helpful and accomodating. my first issue was when I got photos on the app of my children eating their apple sauce on a large piece of tin foil. Instead of giving each child a bowl, they put a big piece of foil in the middle of the table and let the kids grab the apple sauce with their hands. Two moms replied when I posted this on social media saying that this has been happening for years and they took their kids out because of it. Following this, my kids were sick for 2 weeks with medicine). I knew it wasn't from my husband or I's jobs as we ensure to sanitize to AVOID getting them sick. Of course, kids get sick at school, but it's different when the school is almost TRYING to get them sick. After this, we took them out of school for some time. YES, we did stop taking them. We use ERLC, and this can be a problem, but the reason they were out is due to the daycares negligence! Even after the sickness, we tried to start them back. For WEEKS they sent emails about room closure. If you're a parent who works you know that even if 1 kid is sick you need to stay home. We brought them back one last time. When we walked in the teachers had a little altercation regarding who could take my kids. They figured that out and we walked away shaking our heads and TERRIFIED that they would get the cold again (they did). As we were walking out, Ms. Rachel, was yelling at a toddler. I spoke with Ms. Alexa during our tour explaining that we prefer gentle parenting this was BEYOND the last straw. I had work so I left them for the day. When I picked my daughter up, she had a cut on her nose! I was livid. I spoke with Ms. Janene who calmed me down but basically said that ms. rachel wasn't a teacher but maybe an aid. She was not. That is a parent's worst fear! Not knowing what's happening behind closed doors. Anyways, that was frustrating but we needed care, so what were we to do. I spoke with them about room closures, to this day, they are constantly short staffed leaving us to miss work. They say each time we are notified that they will credit our bill. Since ERLC covers the bill they have been LYING to ERLC and not reporting their room closures, but instead saying we didn't send our kids. Once we called them out on it they claimed they don't give that information until the end of the month. ERLC pays them every week. I finally chose to talk to my case worker who suggested a new daycare and I PROUDLY took my kids out of their care. Do not take your kids here.

Special thanks to Miss Quaneace and the very involving and responsive owners Kevin and Sharon Port! We were concerned our daughter couldn't speak much English when she first joined, but that concern quickly went away as it was almost a magic to not only see her English skills improving noticeably, but more importantly her getting more and more comfortable socially everyday. Three months later, she was almost a fluent bilingual speaker! We know there was no magic, it was Miss Q and other teachers' individualized attention and help that took a long way in our daughter's development. If you only expect Chidlren Central to be a place to drop off your kids, you will be quickly (and positively) surprised you are wrong. There are so many well thought-out curriculums, socialization, creative movements and learning opportunities that go well beyond just a child care facility. From music, art, physical development to a third language (for us:)), these well structured opportunities really stimulated our daughter's early interests in different areas - now she sings songs to us and plays drum set everyday and enjoys drawing, dancing and all kinds of sports. We had to move to another state due to job changes. Our daughter stayed until the very last day we lived in the area and she missed her teachers and friends so much there. We strongly recommend Children Central to other parents who are looking for a school that's their kid's extended family!

I want to warn parents to stay away from Children Central: it is a business, not a safe and caring…read moreplace where you can leave your child with trust. I have a 6 months baby, she is always calm, she makes a lot of sounds before she bursts into cries, and she loves to smile. After going to the daycare for just 5 days, she cries so loud whenever she needs attention, she is afraid of people, and she lost her smile. The first two days going to daycare was good, the assistant director and the teachers all said she smiles a lot. Just some drool rashes which I thought maybe okay, I can't expect the teachers to wipe her all the time. However, when I pickup my baby during the third day, I was a bit early and arrived at 4:50pm. I hear a baby crying so loud and so desperately and that sounded like mine! When I get to the infant room, I realized it is my baby crying, left alone in the rocker, and no one was attending to her. Only when the teacher see me, she picked up my baby and handed her to me. Her eyes were all red, and she smelled liked poop (I later checked she did poop and was not changed). I asked how long has she been crying, she said "just a few minutes", like it's not a big deal. I then went to talk to the director, she showed me the camera from 4:30pm. I don't know what time she was put in the rocker, but for the entire 20mins on the video, she is in that rocker with no one attending to her. There camera has no sound and the rocker is not facing the camera, so there is no evidence that she was crying the entire time. This was my first red flag. When I got home I tried to search for the teacher's bio on the daycare's website, because I have not seen her before. That's when I noticed they are not infant classroom teachers. When I first toured the daycare, it was stilled operated by its owner, there were 7 babies and 3 teachers. But the owner later stepped down and hired a director to operate and the facility expanded so fast and by the time I enroll, there are 16 babies in the infant class (I asked the teacher because I see many babies). This is my second red flag. The fourth day she went to daycare, her got home with a cut on her arm. It was almost 2 inch long, and an entire flesh was missing from the cut. It is also very wide and cannot possibly be a scratch from a baby herself. I asked for an accident report but had no response. I called child abuse hotline and had a social worker coming over, that's when the director gave us a report saying the teachers don't know. This time the director refused to show anyone the camera, so I still don't know what happened. This is the largest red flag and I withdrew her from the facility. I lost my first month tuition, the deposit, and the daycare did not return my baby's supplies. And it has been 10 days since the cut, she still has a scar on the arm and when I touch it, I can still feel the dent (so you can tell how deep it was). Parents, stay away from this place for your child's sake.

Sunshine isn't just a daycare; it feels like a family. Everyone knows your children, cares about them, and celebrates their growth along the way. We especially loved the home-cooked meals prepared for the children. It was such a special touch that made Sunshine feel even more like home. Both of our kids were always happy to go and formed such special bonds with their teachers and the entire staff. Knowing they were surrounded by people who genuinely loved and cared for them gave us so much peace of mind. We will always be grateful to the Sunshine Daycare family for making our children feel so loved, safe, and at home. They truly became part of our family, and we couldn't recommend Sunshine more!
