We were previously at another daycare that we loved at the time, but after ownership changed, things really went downhill. Moving to HKA showed us what a well-run, high-quality center should actually look like. The first thing you notice when you walk in is how clean it is. It smells clean... NOT like diapers or strong chemicals. The entire facility is extremely well maintained. The toys are always clean and sanitized. There's no buildup or grime anywhere, and you can tell that cleaning is done thoroughly and consistently. Beyond the cleanliness, the staff is absolutely incredible. Every single person is welcoming, kind, and genuinely caring. I have never once gotten an off feeling from anyone there. That peace of mind as a parent is priceless. They are transparent, communicative, and truly make you feel like your child matters. Another huge thing for us is the low staff turnover. Almost everyone who was there when we started is still there. In a field where high turnover is so common, that says a lot about how the center is run and how staff are treated. Most importantly, they take amazing care of my son. He is happy, safe, and loved and that's everything. We are so grateful we found HKA.

Warning to everyone that I've recommended this place to, they have new leadership that is terrible. Teachers are leaving and enrollment is down. You used to walk in to a joyful with parents congregating in the lobby to plan play dates and laughter throughout the building. Staff have been there for sometimes decades and turnover was low. It's why I selected the location. Now the lobby is filled with cold and difference. Individuals barely looking up from their computers except for one person, Jennifer, who was he a prior to the transition and is a light and what has become a difficult place to leave my kids. Leadership doesn't even recognize children by name and at one point stated they are not the ones that pay the tuition. Previous leadership (and I saw three different teams) that had gone through knew every child's name, their preferences, and their personalities. They are actively involved in the classrooms and day-to-day operations. Now there is a corporate front. Leadership is completely disconnected. Within weeks of of the transition the entire culture has shifted and I have two kiddos that no longer want to go to school. Some of their friends have left to go to other institutions and some of their most favored teachers have put notice. It is absolutely devastating. I have so long recommended this place as the ultimate example of a phenomenal daycare and now I am weighing the options for where we're going to go next. It greatly saddens me the post this because we have amazing memories. A couple of months in, it appears this is not a transitional difficulty but a permanent culture that's being instilled. It is your children the most important decision you can make is who is watching them when you're not with them and I would not recommend this facility.

My 3 year old had scratches and patches ripped out of her hair. There was never any incident reports and I would always have to ask the teachers what happened. Their replies would be "I think....". You think? They also don't clean the children well because my daughter is always complaining that she's "itchy" when I pick her up. That staff is not helpful and always on their phones.

Staff is friendly and welcoming and the teachers are experienced and caring, so much so that we ended up following my daughter's teacher here from another preschool after it had closed, and we weren't the only family to do so. There is a good balance of structure and free-play, and I am more than satisfied with the academic progress my daughter has made with her time here. They offer daycare from infant through school age kids. Lunch isn't provided, but snacks are. Before/after school pickup and drop-off are offered to a few schools in the area, which is a huge help for working parents with school aged kids. It's a great alternative to KidSpace, which is typically understaffed and overcrowded. They have a large, covered playground, as well as a big indoor jungle gym and bouncy castle they use throughout the day. Perfect for those scorching summer months where outside just isn't an option. The owner and director are 100% involved in the day-to-day activities and the school, as a whole, feels like one big family. Unfortunately, this is not the case with other daycares/preschools anymore. The rates are very competitive (and they work with DES!). If you are looking for a faith-based daycare or preschool, I wholeheartedly recommend The Good Shepherd.

She stated I had to pay an invoice that wasn't due till November 6th before I could bring her back. As of today it's November 2nd. I am not passed due on any invoices. This school randomly increases tuition with very little notice. A lot of staff changes. I have messaged the director. I have called the office multiple times with no answer. I don't know who's above her but they need to know how unprofessional she is. My daughter suffered an injury while her their care. No report filed until I notified them. Now they want photos and a doctor note as proof when it's all on camera.

I had toured another center in the area and was horrified, on the trip home I drove by this establishment and decided to pop in for a quick tour. The owner, Julie immediately greeted me and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My first impression was that the facility was extremely clean and organized. She led me on a tour of the infant room where my son would be. It's important to know they keep the young babies (6wks to 6months) grouped together and the older babies (7months to 12 months) separate for safety reasons. You don't want a tumbling crawler to fall on a newborn- which is extremely smart. The cribs are alongside the walls which maximizes the plays pace in the room. The babies were happily playing; some in the jumper, others with various toys, and some being held. They have a pretty solid scheduled with naps, playtime, Thursday's in the "gym", and feedings with snacks. At the end of the day the teachers send home a report card detailing important info about low supplies, a diaper blow out and capture the lengths of all naps, what they ate, volume, and any other notes. You can call the school and check in on your child anytime. I'm so happy with Triple R. This is my first child so I was thrilled to find a place where my baby is comfortable, safe, happy, and actually learning. The teachers even took the time to help my son create a Mother's Day card with his handprint on it. So cute! If I have more kids, they will all be students here.
