This is my second year going here and I enjoyed it both times! I just wish 1. Staff that guarded the lines wouldn't let groups out and in. It is ridiculous that they allow people to get out then come back and cut lines 2. That there was entertainment while waiting in the 2+ hour line. There are 2 large TVs above the line to Haunted House that were off the whole time. There are plenty options to enjoy here between the haunted house, asylum, haunted hayride, and food section. They had police officers controlling traffic, which is great for safety!

I think I just went to the best Haunted House(s) Of my life!! #hauntedhayride #asylum -we did it all!! It's an hour from New Orleans, North of Mandeville- which makes it scary enough-lol -But it was amazing and worth the drive. Definitely do all 3 options if you can!! (Haunted House, Asylum, and the Haunted Hayride.) This picture before all the action started-we got there right at opening!

Wow!! We LOVE escape rooms - our local place -13th gate- recommended we try this place. RISE knows what they are doing! It is one of the best we have played, we did Supernatural & made it with 45 sec to spare! This is definitely a room for experienced players.

They work year round on their detailed and amazing set designs (i actually spent more time looking at those than even trying to enjoy the spooks and scares). The actors are pretty good. We missed some of the features due to how our group got mixed with a slower moving couple who awkwardly held up things and kept pulling off to the side. I like that they have some actor engagement in the line... i feel like there could be more bc you really are just standing there. They added more bathrooms for the line, so that was nice. I appreciate the security in and around the house. This particular year (and perhaps previous years as I haven't been in a few), the whole thing ended pretty suddenly and lacklusterly when you just walk out into a store selling shirts.... no ending fright, nothing to really make it end memorably. We enjoyed the various places to take pictures across the street, and they always have some talented bands playing. I love that the actors enjoy the experience every year, and it's even better that this little gem is available right here in Baton Rouge!

It wasn't too bad and the weather was nice. All of the rooms were very spooky and I got a lot of good scares. Thankfully we weren't grouped with any belligerent people (there was more than a few in line). We had a great experience. I found some house keys in the haunted house and security was very helpful with receiving them after I exited. Love this place

We meet up at the Voodoo Lounge, where there is a ticket office in the back room. We didn't live the bar--smelled a little bit like a sewer and the hurricanes were super sweet and kind of weak. But we did have but one get one, so wasn't that upset. The tour was great. We saw some interesting, haunted places and heard the history behind them. We didn't linger too long at any one place. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny, although he may have been a tad bit too heavy on the Catholic Church jokes. The tour ended at the LaLaurie house, and our guide shared a story about a little girl on who was recently on his tour who started crying and asked why there were dead people on the balcony. Spooky! I was so intrigued by what he said that I started looking up stories about Delphine LaLaurie and the haunting of the house. When I got home, I even started watching season 3 of American Horror Story, which has the character Delphine LaLaurie (accurate? No. Fun? Yes!). This was a fun way to spend the evening. There was an obnoxiously drunk guy on our tour, and our guide handled him well.

Person selling the tickets…read moreneeding to get name, email, zip just to sell a ticket slows everything up, then waiting to get the email...then filling out a completely useless waiver. It would be nice if someone did some pest control. We were absolutely ripped apart by fleas or mosquitos or chiggers or something waiting to purchase tickets; which also made the whole annoying process more irritating. Once in line, things were better. There's no kind of entertainment like line actors or even a video screen so dull but, the line moved pretty quickly and we only had about an hour wait. The sets were really well done and the atmosphere was great. The make up was terrible. Several times I was looking at an actor and just thinking 'what is going on with your face'. I know this was opening weekend so maybe they just haven't settled into their roles yet but the acting was also pretty bad. Many seemed to think the best way to scare people was just standing in front of them and screaming. One girl actually said 'help me'. Overall I enjoyed it.

I don't have a lot of experience with haunted houses etc but this was fairly well done from a structural point of view. The buildings and maze and props all well done, actors were fine not great. What I don't like beyond the add-on pricing was the fact we got here as they opened on a slow Tuesday night before just before Halloween. They coral you into different lines depending on the level of ticket you get. The basic entry had only about 50 people in front of us. Even though nobody was in the fast pass lines they didn't send people in efficiently or speedily. They made people wait and what should have take 5-10 minute took 45 min +. No bathroom options once you get inside. If you need to go as I didn't not expecting that wait for so few people you need to back out through the line to the porta potty outside and then swim your wave back through the line which at that point had grown 4x due to their inefficiency . Apparently they are trying to prove a point if you don't spend up to any of the higher price points they WILL make you wait even if there are no fast pass ticket holders and no backup. Once inside it probably only takes about 15-20 minutes to go through. Parking while easy the night we went but unorganized and people were parking behind cars to where they couldn't get out so be mindful how you park. Was it fun? MEH it was ok. Was I scared? Not at all, but got a laugh out of it. Overall it's too expensive, not well organized and punish you if you don't fast pass. I wouldn't return.

Maybe part of the mistake was booking a ghost tour in the French Quarter after dark, but even with that expectation, this experience missed the mark. The "headquarters" is attached to a bar, so when you arrive it feels more like a pregame party than the start of a guided tour. There were easily a couple hundred people packed between the bar, sidewalk, and parking lot, with no clear direction or organization. Total chaos. There was a long line that I assumed was for drinks, but it turned out to be for wristbands. No signage, no guidance, no communication. About five minutes after our scheduled start time, I was convinced our group had already left. Eventually, someone came out and started calling groups, but it felt completely disorganized. Once the tour finally got going, it became clear this wasn't really about ghost stories, it was more about drinking, joking around, and keeping things light. There was even a mid-tour bar stop, which just added to the number of heavily intoxicated people and took away from any kind of immersive or historical experience. This is where I left. To be fair, maybe a different time or a different company would've been better, but this one felt more like a bar crawl with a ghost theme than an actual ghost tour.
