I've dealt with a lot of setbacks in the past, and I was nervous about getting hurt again. From day one, Chelsea put me at ease. She took the time to really understand my background, my limitations, and my goals. Instead of giving me a one-size-fits-all workout, she designed a program that was tailored specifically for me. She made sure every exercise was safe, effective, and helped me build strength without aggravating old injuries. That level of attention and care made all the difference. Fast forward, and I've lost 57 pounds so far -- something I never imagined was possible when I first walked through the doors. More importantly, I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in my body than I have in years. Chelsea challenges me in the best way: she knows when to push me a little harder and when to adjust so I don't risk reinjury. It's a balance I've only ever had with one other trainer. Chelsea is not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly supportive. She celebrates every milestone with me, big or small, and keeps me motivated on days when I might not feel like showing up. Project Strong as a whole has created such a positive and encouraging environment, but having Chelsea as my trainer has truly been life-changing. If you're looking for a trainer who understands how to meet you where you are, works around your obstacles, and still helps you achieve amazing results, Chelsea is the one. I'm so grateful I found her and this program. It took me a year to write this review because I selfishly wanted to keep my time slot and trainer! But there are other trainers that are really excellent too so try out their services and be amazed on how your body can perform and transform.

I never received contact back when asking to speak to a customer representative direct . ‍…read more I will have to look elsewhere.

I originally sought Valerie's help for right shoulder pain from doing my art work. The true reason for my pain, however, was muscle weakness and imbalances, which I had ignored for decades. By July 2024, my shoulder was pain-free. As I continued to increase my activity, Lala was always spot on with helping me with whatever other issues emerged. I religiously followed the exercises that she suggested. Rather than a rigid routine, she taught me how to strategically select "a la carte" from my menu of mobility, strength, and core exercises. Today, my shoulder pain is long gone. My mobility is much better: I can raise my arms and stretch without any hitches or weakness. When I look in the mirror, my shoulders are even for the first time in 20 years. Most importantly, I feel empowered to know how to respond to small issues that may come up. It feels good to be so much stronger and to be able to be active again!

Lala worked with me to gently build my strength around my injury, and within a few months my pain was so much improved. She is a very intuitive and thoughtful trainer. She always listens to my limits, yet pushes me when it's safe. We have both moved and we now work together over zoom. Every week I get a new, customized workout, and I do things I never thought were possible with my injuries. I sail competitively and that puts a huge strain on my body. It's great knowing Lala is always there to help put me back together again. I highly recommend her for Pilates and personal training.

Also I personally don't like trainers chatting with me during workout and baby-sitting me if I am tired. I feel I am there to get to my edge and personal trainer should be able to work with me on it. Kip is absolutely great at this task. He always tell me "you could do some more" and I do it, even if I think I am close to an end. I appreciate Kips' flexibility and willingness to accommodate my schedule (which could be unpredictable sometimes). He is very reasonable and if you follow his recommendations and honest and upfront about changes in your schedule, you're going to be in the right place. My weight went down (good 15 lbs - even I was not planning on losing any), and strength and flexibility is way up. My initial goal was to fix my long-time spine problems and get ready for 2013-2014 skiing season, but I got addicted :)

Kip is hands-down the best personal trainer I have ever worked with. As an aging (55+) "weekend…read morewarrior", I had been struggling with a host of random injuries, many of which sidelined me for months. Physical therapy helped me limp back onto the court or on the bike, only to quickly injure myself again. Kip stepped in and carefully catered a strength training program for me to help address my vulnerabilities and goals. I have strength trained in the past, but found myself plateauing quickly and/or injuring myself in the effort. I have never seen the level of results that I have experienced with Kip's program. Every workout with him has been different; he has an innate ability to mix things up while focusing on the whole body and the overall plan. He listens well, helps me work around injuries and is a great motivator. With the same amount of workout time, i am getting 2-3x the results. My athletic performance on the court has gotten a huge boost, I feel better and I look better. Kip even helped me acquire equipment for my home/garage workout area so that i can more easily keep the program rolling, in spite of a busy schedule. Highly recommend!!!

If you are looking for a FUN, LIFE-CHANGING and MOTIVATIONAL gym to start on your fitness goals,…read morethen look no further and sign up with CORE TOTAL FITNESS as soon as possible. My journey started with a quick 15 minute phone call with the owner (Elliot) who was extremely friendly and understanding as I explained to him about my pandemic weight gain woes in being sedentary from working from home and how I needed to jump start my workout routine. He got me excited to sign up for the free 30 minute consultation that I booked it within the same week. He then connected me with one of his trainers (Manny) who provided me with a walk-through of the gym layout and general overview of a training session. Without any hesitation, I went ALL IN and signed up for the 4x/week package and 7 months later I can honestly say that I am healthier and stronger than I have been in years. I am also super lucky to have the best top-notch trainers (Manny, Lauren, and Brenden) constantly motivating and helping me every step of the way in designing challenging but enjoyable workout sessions so that I can achieve my personalized fitness goals. I highly recommend CTF especially if you want to find a gym that really cares about the health and safety of their clients and who takes the time in improving your mind, body and spirit one workout session at a time. Thank you again to the CTF team for igniting my inner athlete and reminding me it is never too late to work on becoming your best self! You end up truly recalibrating your greatness and benefiting in every way. As a woman in my 40s, I am definitely in the best shape of my life and the strongest I have ever been. I attribute this to the help & support of everyone at Origin. Never in my life did I think I would participate in a powerlifting competition until I joined Origin. The intent was just to have fun, but I ended up coming out as a winner by PRing all my lifts when I truly thought those days were over. The members and staff are incredibly welcoming and treat each other with love and respect. If you need a spot, help learning an exercise or just have questions about fitness in general, there is usually someone there with the knowledge and willingness to help. You will never have to wait for equipment like at a commercial gym. The gym is open 24/7. The equipment is constantly being updated and there are always new toys to play with. It is clear that the owners care about the gym and constantly invest in it. I've been in the powerlifting community for over a decade and can say with absolute certainty that if you're looking for a gym to join, I would absolutely 100% recommend this one!

Lemme just start by saying that if you're looking for a gym in the bay, steer clear. I checked this…read morespot out based on the reviews and some recs, but I legit had to do a double take because what I heard and what I saw were completely different. Equipment: If stuff isn't broken or bent, it just isn't there. I've seen gyms with half the space have more kilos and power bars available. Not to mention they have an entire area dedicated to machines that look like they only get used when the cleaners dust them off. I heard the owners have been promising more stuff, but nothing's come except a small ah set of plates. Facilities: Bathroom was straight up vile with a busted toilet seat. Floors are legit slimy, and I saw maybe two people tops wipe off their equipment. I asked some of the other members if the gym ever brings in a maintenance crew to clean the place down, but they told me the cleaning is done by like a family and kids LMAO Management: Day-to-day is run by this dude named Jostin (Justin?), but outside of my first visit I barely saw the man. Bro is either not at the gym or locked up in the back office. Only time I remember seeing him was when his doordash arrived. The other owners are barely in too, and I heard the main dude isn't even in state anymore??? Cost: Game time. Based on what I've said, guess how much they ask for a month. Two-fn-hundred without a contract, 150 for a 6 month. Place thinks is premium-premium but is giving vibes that make 24 look like Equinox. The members must love burning cash because they could do so much better for much less
