She also did a great job of sending reminders for the appointment and giving me specifics on finding the office especially since it's downtown Stillwater. This means you need to find parking downtown which at some points of the year can be a little challenging. The massage was great. As some other side notes, she has a small dog that hangs out in the room and doesn't even make a sound. At some points during the massage I heard a low male voice but figured out it was coming from her earphone so she must've been listening to a book on tape or something if the sort. I would always check her pricing online but she charged $80 for a 60 minute massage.

It aims to release the persistent patterns of tension in the body (also known as "adhesions") through slow strokes and deep finger, hand and forearm pressure on the tight areas, either going across or following the fibres of the muscles, fascia and tendons. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It helps to break up scar tissue. It's definitely expensive compared to other spas and while you can take they really work hard to take care of customers, at a certain point the cost feels like too much for no added bonuses. Facial was really enjoyable and the woman who did it seemed very knowledgeable! The wrap was also great but if you don't like being wet and if having scrub on you and then getting under a blanket gives you the Heeby jeebies then I'd maybe avoid that one. I also loved that I was able to walk in to get a massage; some places require you to book an appointment 1 to 2 months in advance. SO convenient that I can get a massage as needed. I'm cancelling my 13 year membership at Massage Envy and planning to come back here whenever I need a great massage. Honestly, the quality of the massage I received was as good as the ones at high end places that charge twice as much. I wasn't too thrilled about how the place looks from the outside; I almost cancelled and drove back home. But after thinking about it, I'm glad to not be paying for "curb appeal" of the building, I'd rather be paying for a great massage while they keep their other costs down.
