Scott was super helpful to me about a potential repair to my daughter's recliners. He spoke to me on the cell doing a little troubleshooting over the phone and was very respectful, professional and super knowledgeable. I was very impressed as to the quickness I heard back from Scott. I would HIGHLY recommend Rip N Repair to anyone needing service on your recliner furniture with electric mechanisms. Highly recommend Scott. He's a great communicator, timely, and an all around lovely human being. He helped us repair our bed frame and headboard that broke the week of Thanksgiving. Scott came out to inspect the issue, gave us a quote, and came back in an agreed upon date and on time. He was quick to help us fix it, and even repaired other things we uncovered with the bed. We can sleep soundly now thanks to him! Would use again in a heart beat! read more

I can't say enough good things about Rip n Repair! I had an unusual request for a custom project and Scott happily took it on. My wife and I bought large 4 post bed whose headboard was so big that it couldn't actually fit up the small, awkward staircase in our hold home. I called Scott and he was at my place the next week to assess and problem solve with me. Ultimately he landed on a solution that minimized damage and maintained the bed's structural integrity. His stain blending and finishing work when reassembling the bed was above and beyond. You can't even tell where he made the original cut! My wife and I now have an amazing bed thanks to Scott and his ingenuity. From being highly knowledgable about all kinds of furniture to his selection of wood, glue, and other materials, he really knows his stuff! His communication is excellent throughout the 2-3 week project and always showed up promptly on time. I'd highly recommend him for any furniture repair or restoration needs. read more

Scott came by earlier this week for our appointment. He determined that he needed to take the piece of my sectional back to the shop to fix the issue. He did an excellent job on it. It looks brand new! The cost sure beat out buying an entire replacement. I highly recommend him and will continue using him for any upholstery jobs in the future. read more

Wow! They did an excellent job in converting a queen mattress to cushions for our van. We were able to choose our own fabric and cannot believe how amazing of a job was done. We had read reviews, and were referred by someone... But we definitely were not expecting how amazing the cushions turned out. Now we just can't wait to finish the van build! read more

Omg! I was sick when I found my dog had chewed a hole through my leather sofa that I imported all the way from London. Yes London in the UK. He chewed through the leather and foam directly down to the wood frame. My sofa wasn't even 1 year old. Thank God for Scott with Rip N Repair. He picked up my sofa on Wednesday and had it repaired and looking like it was brand new by Friday. Once he picked up the sofa, he was super quick, and the quality of his work is unmatched. No one will know what my little dog did by looking at the sofa now. I cried when I saw the hole, but I almost cried again when I saw what a great job Scott had done. It's like it never happened. His work was definitely worth the price I paid. Just FYI he is very busy but for a good reason. His work is incredible so be patient if he needs to put you on his list. He is great following up and communicating his timing. Once he starts to work, he is super quick. I am so thankful he was able to make my sofa like new again. read more

Scott picked up my loveseat and subsequently discovered that the recliner mechanism was getting worn out. Because of that, he told me that it would be advisable to do a more limited repair than what we'd originally talked about. It saved me money and I still ended up with a loveseat that's more comfortable than what I had. I appreciated the honesty & would definitely reach out again for my future furniture repair needs. read more

I reached out to Rip N Repair about reupholstering some kitchen stools. I sent. photos, so that he (Scott) knew what to expect, in terms of my needs. His reply was great -- he said it would not be cost-effective to reupholster my existing stools. He said I would be better off finding replacement stools, and to save my money. What awesome customer service !!! He could have redone my stools, taken my money, and gone about his business, with more money in his pocket. Instead, he took the "high road" and did me a favor by telling me what my best option was. If/when I ever need advice on similar services, I will trust Scott ! read more

I had a leather couch and two chairs by Lane that had springs and foam in the cushions. Over that last 6 years or so the chair cushions had compacted and were noticeably less cush than the couch. I contacted Scott and he came and got them. We were expecting the springs needed replacing but when he took them apart he found that it was the foam that was cheap and needed replacing and the springs were fine. He put a much better wrapping of foam around the spring sets and brought them back and actually saved a bit of money over what was planned. I have tried them and Wow, they are better than they were when new. Nice guy, knows his stuff and really cares about keeping the customer happy. So rare today. Thanks Scott. read more

I bought a leather couch from Wayfair, and after a few months the buttons started coming loose. I contacted Wayfair and they suggested that I contact a local repair service and that they would give me a budget for repair to work within. I contacted Scott @ Rip N Repair and sent him some pictures of the loose buttons. After reviewing the work required, Scott sent me a bid for the work, and we scheduled an appointment. Scott showed up on time, with a teammate Jason, and the two of them promptly got to work on the repair inside my home. They dealt with my over friendly dogs with ease, and took great care to repair the couch and make it better than it was originally manufactured. They replaced all the cheap plastic button attachments with custom cloth based fasteners. The couch looks great, and Scott was able to do all the work within Wayfair's repair budget. On top of that, Scott recommended ways that I can care for and preserve the leather couch to increase its lifespan! Thank you Rip N' Repair! read more
