Our first time trying Georgian cuisine and our favorite meal in Helsinki! Excellent customer service. The food speaks for itself, everything was delicious! The eggplant rolls with the walnut paste was definitely a huge surprise, I wasn't sure I'd like them but they were so good! Full of flavor, good texture and just a pleasant surprise all around. The cheese bread was just as delicious as you would imagine and was great with the beef stew. There is no way to give more stars - Rioni is the place to go! From the service- inviting, informative and with a sense of humor-- to the food which was a trip to Georgia in its own way. You could order individual dishes or you can bring your friends and try one of the sampler meals. This is the Georgian way of eating- platters all around, passing between friends and sharing a feast. Here in this out-of-the-way corner of Espoo I found this small, quiet restaurant with fantastic Georgian food. The owner and server were gracious, the wine was very good, and in all it was everything I came for. Behind me sat a crusty old Russian man also enjoying the food - always a good sign.
