The theater itself has lots of seating and is quite comfortable, however, the seating rows are very long with no breaks, so basically if you're sitting in middle seats, you have to walk past so many people on either side of you to try to get out. I am always amazed at the costumes, set and production quality of the final show. I have an older daughter who has been coming for over 4 years. She started with a few My Statges shows and is now doing her second mini POPs show which has been such a confidence building experience for her. She was always a bit introverted, struggled with speaking to anyone she didn't know, but now I have over heard her credit her enjoyment of presenting class projects with friends at school to feeling confident in front of any audience size as a performer here. The staff truly feel like family to our daughters. They are exceptional acting, choreography and singing teachers! I really find it sweet that a few of the teachers even were students here when they were growing up. I think my daughter's only regret is that they don't spend more of their time after school here, so they and their friends always ask to do the vacation and summer camps here. Even the camps have been very good value. Priceless experiences for my daughters to build acting, dancing and singing skills and learn about working as a team to create exceptional musicals. I've been a pro guitarist and musician in general for over 10 years and I had an unusual area of…read moreprofessional music I wanted to study. Thankfully, Coast Music Conservatory had an uncommon solution in expert guitar teacher Dave Stark. There were serious gaps in my knowledge related to guitar technology: pedals, tones, amps and even instruments and pickups. This is not a normal subject for a guitar teacher. Thankfully, Coast had just the right person. I've been studying with Dave for a little over a month now and my knowledge on this topic has exploded thanks to his expert tutelage. We started from the very beginning, as I believe all lessons should: a conversation about my goals, both long- and short-term, and agreeing on a plan of action that would help me bridge this gap in my education as completely and efficiently as possible. Dave is caring, patient, passionate and really knows his stuff. He's always punctual and consummately professional. And he's extremely generous with his time, knowledge and attention to detail. I can see that Dave not only cares about me as his student but even devotes thought and energy outside the "classroom" to helping accelerate my progress with new insights and suggestions. It's like I showed up looking for a teacher but got a mentor instead. Thanks to my lessons with Dave I've already completely pared down my gear and I'm 90% finished upgrading my pedal board; next I'll be finalizing my rig with an easier-on-the-spine amplifier and then we'll be working on delays and other effect-specific topics together. After 4…read more30-minute lessons, he could read music rhythms (eight, quarter, half, whole note and rest), knew all the notes on the piano, learned about finger numbering/placement and was beginning to play short strings of notes. Pretty impressive for 30-minute lessons a week apart in a 4 year old who can barely concentrate on any task for more than a few minutes. The set up seems cool here. Music rooms with more of a rock music instruction focus. Some individual lessons and some whole bands of kids playing. Loungey area to hang out with snacks and air hockey. Really cool spot!
