It didn't seem all that much cheaper. I had the most fun on the 6th floor browsing the food market and exploring the food hall and terrace. Umm, and FREE BATHROOM ALERT!! The best place to escape the maddening crowds of Rome and feel...special. We came here multiple times during our extended stay in Rome. #1. Rooftop Bistro #2. The chocolate shop #3. Fashion #4. Interior design Restaurant and bars are on the roof so you have peace and quiet. Champagne cocktails, Aperol Spritz, Negroni....so good : ) Had a few small plates and pizza on the rooftop terrace and both the food and view were great! We were in no hurry and enjoyed the laid back vibe. Service was perfect. Prices seemed reasonable given the high quality. I am not an expert on Rome, but I am guessing there are few if any other comparable spots in this city that the average person can simply walk into and enjoy. read more

Ok under their mall is the original Rome aqueducts. We got Gucci bags, Louboutin shoes and water. I'm a little miffed and mildly offended that no one seems to treat it like the world wonder it is! The original Roman aqueducts STILL work! Like I feel like a bigger deal should be made out of this. I guess Prada won the propaganda race. read more

Rinascente is your fancy shopping destination in the heart of Rome. The store itself isn't super big but if you love Italian luxury brands you'll be pleased. Ground floor is the big names (Prada, Vuitton etc), then there's 2 floors each for men/women. The top floor has restaurants/food - a great place to grab gifts. I had an incredibly delicious mortadella panini up there and really, it wasn't overpriced. Don't sleep on the basement - that's home stuff. Italian design is incredible, I'd love to buy everything! Tax refund is down here too, if you spend more than €70, remember your passport and SAVE! read more

This review is for Rinascente Maio Restaurant & Rooftop on the top floor. Amazing views, it was a cool February evening and I had dinner RSVP'ed for both the restaurant and rooftop in case of rainy weather. We started out on the rooftop for drinks prior to sunset and they accommodate us with our table downstairs in the restaurant for dinner when the weather got colder. The service was excellent and the restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere that makes the dining experience memorable. I wouldn't get the tiramisu because I've had better quality ones in Rome for better value read more

A shoppers dream!! Take a big breathe when you walk in. This store isn't fake in the pictures I've taken. Such an amazing store with the top brands and pristine service. The organization is well thought out. Not too many stores I can compare this to in the USA (perhaps NM). I was super excited I found this wonderful store, and that I had extra room in my extra large suitcase. Indoor shopping mall in heart of Rome. We just stumbled upon this mall strolling the streets. Exterior of the building goes unnoticed so it's not a mall that doesn't fit in into the neighborhood. This one does. I believe Rinascente also has a site in Milan. See if I will stumble upon that one one if we're to visit there in future! Most of the designer brands can be found here. Did some shopping here and had a good time. Check out the top floor cafe. Also a full service restaurant on this floor with a rooftop terrace. read more

This review is for the rooftop bar. We were there on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I could say the service was the most terrible. We sat down and ordered a cold appetizer and 2 desserts besides drinks. The restaurant was busy but not totally full. We sat there and waited for an hour without any food. Finally we tracked down our server and asked. She acknowledged the situation without much explanation. We waited for another 15 minutes and still no food. From my seat I could see their computer table, from what I could see, they were having some trouble with the computers. I also noticed they haven't brought any bills out for 45 mins either. Finally the server confirmed that the POS system was down, and another 15 mins later food gradually came out and other people got their bills. Visiting this restaurant was a total waste of our time. At the end, they did not offer much apologies and did not comp anything. While the system was down, servers and staff just pretend they were busy, looking around, avoid eye contacts. read more

The staff at the restaurant on the roof are terrible, disrespectful and rude. I would never come back to this place!! The woman seating people was unnecessarily aggressive when we seated ourselves, there were no signs and nobody at the entrance to tell us otherwise. My wife asked if we could open an umbrella to shade from the sun and the woman said impossible and turned her back. The wait staff are aloof and self important. read more

Large department store with all kinds of products and all different brands. They mostly have high end brands. If I would compare to an American store, I would say it is similar to a Bloomingdales. read more

My husband and I were on our honeymoon. It was our last day in Rome and we decided to go up to the terrace for a cocktail with a view. We were seated quickly, however the service stopped there. We sat for about 10 minutes and had no one approach us. My husband wound up walking over to the bar to see if we were supposed to order there. He found out we were indeed supposed to have a server. He came over to us after a couple more minutes and we ordered drinks. We waited another 20 minutes and our drinks still hadn't come. We stood up to take some photos along the railing and our server promptly cleaned our table and the hostess was ready to seat another couple. We explained to the hostess what happened and even pointed out who took our drink order. She asked us to wait to see if our drinks were ready. We told her we were leaving and she asked us "why?" We simply walked away. But the answer to her question was it was the worst service I've had in my entire life. That includes living in NYC and a trip to Paris. read more

The help I received, especially from the young man at Hugo Boss and the young woman in the luggage department, was more than I could have hoped. The WORST mall I have ever been to in my entire life. My friend and I walked into the Louis Vuitton store and we were NEVER greeted, NEVER acknowledged, NEVER given the time of day. I had been planning on getting my first LV bag in Italy for months and the people who work there completely ruined my experience. You'd think LV would hire the best staff to to provide the top of the line service however, this was not the case at this store. Just because we may not have been dressed in expensive clothing did not mean we weren't about to spend over 5k with my friend. We walked out disappointed and went to the Louis Vuitton store at Via Condotti 13 which is only a few minutes walk from this terrible mall/store and were treated like royalty and respect. Save your time and money...don't go to this particular LV. read more
