If you have even the slightest interest in luxury fashion, Fendi's global flagship is well worth checking out. We passed by it a couple of times just while walking around Rome and decided to peek in for a quick browse.
The store was huge, in a palatial building called, appropriately enough, Palazzo Fendi. The interior was modern and opulent, designed and decorated to the max, two wide floors connected by a statement red marble staircase.
I enjoyed looking around, shadowed by a sales associate who was either there to help me shop or deter me from shoplifting, I honestly couldn't tell which. The clothes were beautiful and extravagant, and there were more ludicrously expensive exotic bags than I'd ever seen in one place. Rows of Fendi purses in ostrich and snakeskin and crocodile, a dream haul for a smash and grab crew. Lucky for my shadow, I was only there to gawk.
Palazzo Fendi is centrally located, right by the Spanish Steps, and it's a fun stop if you like looking at pretty things. As a bonus, they also have a bathroom, and no one will follow you in there. read more
