I was searching for a stonework contractor this morning when I found two negative reviews about Rinaldi Electric, written on September 24, 2019, and May 2, 2022. I acknowledge those reviews, but my experience with Rinaldi Electric over the years has been entirely different. I have been renovating different properties for the last 27 years. As a result, I meet numerous different contractors, not necessarily with the most satisfying results. If you are planning a significant or minor renovation at your property, you need to be knowledgeable or fortunate enough to find good contractors. In my experience, finding good contractors could be very distressing and anxiety-provoking. Educating yourself about the specific areas of the renovation that you would like to execute could be exhausting. However, it will alert you if something is done incorrectly. If you feel that you can trust a particular contractor, you might confront an unpleasant surprise most of the time. A few years ago, I needed some electrical work inside my house. I interviewed three different electrical companies in my area. Unfortunately for me, I received three different approaches to do my electrical work with drastically different prices. I was forced to learn the appropriate way to do my installation. It took me a few months to understand this particular electrical work, but life forced me to learn more. At a certain point, I was lucky enough to interview the "Rinaldi Electrical Co." This company was the only one that knew what to do appropriately, with excellent customer service, and for a very fair price. As soon as they started working at my house, I was convinced that the work would be done correctly. They were polite, responsible, and knowledgeable, which is very difficult to find in this new era. The company's owner is a very polite and responsible person who will be diligent about ensuring that the work is done correctly, and most importantly, with customer satisfaction as a priority. He is an excellent businessman who is currently difficult to find. This is the only company that I am aware of that doesn't generate anxiety in me when they are working in the house. I contracted Rinaldi Electric on three different occasions with magnificent results. They are coming back soon for the installation of my new kitchen. After working professionally with human behaviors for over 38 years and having accumulated experience with different contractors, I feel very comfortable recommending "Rinaldi Electric." read more

I recently hired Rinaldi Electric in White Plains, NY to install two ceiling fans with lights. I called and spoke to the owner Joe Rinaldi, he was so easy to work with. Electricians Chris and TJ arrived at 9 a.m. and were an absolute pleasure to work with. When they opened one of the boxes, they discovered that the light fixture on one fan was broken. Since I no longer drive, they kindly went to Home Depot and picked up a replacement fan for me, completely going above and beyond. They installed both fans efficiently and with great attention to detail. I really appreciate their professionalism, courtesy, and helpfulness. A very good electrician who on short notice changed the circuit board or whatever it's called due to a new law in white plains that stated you must upgrade for safety reasons I guess. The electrician was working over 3 hours upgrading, changing wires and circuit breakers , etc ,and you got to leave it to a pro to do the job cause safety matters and you need a skilled electrician who is licensed and insured cause that's what the condo management requested . Very good job , reasonable rates and now the city of white plains , the condo management and condo board can stop sending me letters and emails to upgrade the electrical system in my apt . 4.5 stars on my yelp meter and would not hesitate to use rinaldi electric again if needed . read more

Joe Rinaldi is in my very concise rolodex of contractors that I trust. He is a master electrician and he will always give you the best advice. He's one of the few contractors I know who is willing to educate me on the equipment I'm purchasing. He's busy but he always makes time for us. He has bailed me out in electrical emergencies and also done various projects for us. I believe I have used him around half a dozen times now over a number of years. He is honest and has a great work ethic. These qualities are so rare in the contractor industry. He always wants the customer to do what's in their best interest, regardless of cost. I am so thankful for this because we are value-minded but quality-oriented clients. I will continue to use Rinaldi Electric for all of our electrical needs. I used Rinaldi to do some work for me at my sister in laws house. $2,000 for a new circuit, change a bathroom fan switch , wire two thermostats for radiant floor heat and add a light over a shower. Everything went well until it was time to come back for the second thermostat. After leaving a message and not getting a response, I called joe directly. He told me he could definitely make it the following week. After more text messages and voicemails. I never heard back from him . I can only say that I'm very disappointed joe never followed through. Joe was called in to help diagnose an Air Conditioning problem that the AC people couldn't figure out. Not only did he figure it out, but he also went out of his way to get the correct parts in an expedited manner and make sure he kept in constant touch with us so we knew where we stood. I needed a 240V outlet (for EV charging) installed. The previous house owners left several double tapped breakers, and I asked Joe to fix those when coming to install the outlet. Everything was done quickly and seamlessly (I could not tell if the power was off at any time during the work). I would say the service was perfect except that they charged me for an extra breaker. I realized the error when I checked out the work later that evening -- Joe acknowledged the error and refunded the charge, so everyone is happy now. read more

Sorry for the late review, I wanted to get some photos prior to the review. So Michael from Rinaldi Electric came to install all the light fixtures and he is great. The price was very reasonable as I requested quotes from about 6 electricians. No, I don't want to pay extra for the same amount of work, so I took the extra time getting quotes. Joe was my contact and he was extremely responsive and answered all of my concerns within minutes of my texts. Although the job was scheduled on a short notice, they managed to get all the insurance paperworks in place. In total, I had 3 fixtures mounted. One wall mount, one drywall ceiling mount and one concrete ceiling mount. You can't run wires in the concrete ceiling, so they went with the wire molding. Since my ceiling light is from Philips Hue, it's not exactly the standard mounting size either. Michael was more than patient to make sure the light is secured on to the ceiling. 1 Star Rating: Joe Rinaldi is very unreliable. Does not communicate well. Ignores emails. He takes ages to respond. Cancels appointments at the last minute and cannot live up to his promises. His workmanship is average. You should search for other more reliable electricians out there. read more

We had a great experience with Joe. His price is reasonable and he is able to complete the job in the time estimated. Very friendly and quite responsive. I find that most jobs do not work out 100% according to plan, but this is often due to things that the contractor finds out while they've already started working. My advice is for the consumer to do his/her own due diligence and try to become educated on the process before embarking on a job. Ask questions. Joe is very responsive to concerns and questions, which we appreciate. There are some things that the contractor won't know until they start working, so bear that in mind. I think a little flexibility on both ends usually ends up being a winning combo. My partner and I are understanding/reasonable and so is Joe. When one of our light fixtures turned out to be defective, Joe agreed to work with us at a reduced rate to replace it once we get the new one. read more
