I am totally and utterly disappointed in this office! I went in today, as an emergency patient,…read morebecause I had developed an extremely sharp pain and throbbing in one of my front teeth today while at work. Called to ask if they could get me in as soon as I got off, they knowing who I was as I have been there in the past said yes to come right away and they would treat me. I showed up and went to check in, when they informed me my father (who's insurance I am on) owed a bill for HIS dental work he had done and that they would not treat me until it was paid. Now- here's the kicker.. they told me he mailed in and they received a payment for his bill YESTERDAY, but they still wouldn't see ME until his bill was paid in full. Obviously I was not happy and I am standing there clearly in pain, when they tell me- "maybe you should just go to river hills". I'm assuming because they thought I don't have money and can't afford to be in their office. I was pissed. I walked out of their office immediately (I needed to find somewhere to be seen before closing hours) and you know what? I called river hills and thankfully they got me in. (Kudos to their office btw!!) As this is happening I called my dad to tell him what had happened and so he called and was going to make a payment to them so I could be seen, and they said to him "well we don't think the dentist will see her now because she was rude to us" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Oh well. I went to river hills and I apparently have an abscess on my tooth and need a root canal... so YES I WAS IN ALOT OF PAIN! Very poor customer service to the front desk workers and even worse for the practice itself. Awful just awful!!!

It's never fun to go to the dentist, and it's definitely even less fun to go to the oral surgeon,…read morebut... Hands down the best dental/medical care I have received ANYWHERE. Pickins are slim in Iowa, but I can confidently say I would choose Dr. Roewe over all other oral surgeons out there. I have a long, complicated dental history and have been coming to Dr. Roewe for years. He is so flexible with my schedule (multiple weekend appointments; he even came in on Christmas when I had an emergency) and willing to patiently explain the situation/his treatment plan and rationale. The nurses are all quite friendly and even though getting your mouth sliced open is probably pretty high on everyone's list of a crappy day, everyone does their best to make you happy and comfortable and experience a successful surgical outcome.

People do try to avoid the need for surgery, let alone oral surgery. However, I have scheduled an…read moreappointment at Dr. Roewe's office for a wisdom teeth removal when I was a freshman in high school. I came into his office for the appointment after a few delays due to me having a mild case of pneumonia. As the anesthesiologist inserted the needle and I started to slip into unconsciousness, I was watching American Hoggers, a reality TV show about wild hog hunters in Texas. I was rendered unconscious within what seemed like 10 seconds after the drugs took effect. I momentarily woke up in his office and the wisdom teeth were extracted. There was one very mild complication with one of the teeth, which removed some of the skin. But he stitched the roots accordingly. I've also learned that my mom had the same oral surgeon when she got her wisdom teeth taken out. Overall, the procedure went very well, and to be honest, it was actually kind of fun (I was very out of it coming out of the anesthesia). Final grade: 4/5 (80%)

updated Aspen Dental in Quincy Illinois…read more I had to wait over 30 mins to get back to see the Dentist then it took over 2 Hrs Aain this time just to get my teeth adjusted bc of some rough places on them was really hurting my mouth Bad! (they was only with me a whole total of 25 mins out of all that time & they still don't fit right I paid $3,000 for these teeth ) I feel now that ASPEN DENTAL IN QUINCY IL has mediocre service they don't schedule Appts. right so the Dr. CAN DO HIS JOB IN A TIMELY MANNOR" I have tried to make light of it all BUT NOW I think they are really only 1 star above the ONE DAY DENTURES "the only difference is one day allows only 3 times to come back but Aspen you can just KEEP coming back" I Do NOT recommend this place to people that want things done in a timely fashion and expect Good quality. I can see why other people are frustrated with this place I tried to give it a good recommendation before but now I can see it deserves to ONLY 2 STARS! Frustrated & Hurting in IL

    1. False Claims of Unpaid Balance Used as a Sales Tactic On…read moremultiple occasions, I received voicemail and text messages from Aspen Dental stating that I had an outstanding balance. This was incorrect. My Explanation of Benefits (EOB) clearly shows that my routine cleaning was covered 100% by my insurance, leaving a $0 balance. Concerned, I contacted the office to resolve what appeared to be a billing error. During these calls, I was told, "We must have the wrong information." When I offered to provide my EOB as proof, I was told it was "not necessary" and that someone would "correct the records." Despite these assurances, the same misleading messages were repeated. This pattern strongly suggests that the "balance due" claim was not an actual billing issue, but rather a tactic designed to prompt contact and create an opportunity to solicit additional services. 2. Unsupported Claims about Missing 'Deep Cleaning' In a separate instance, I was again contacted with similar messaging. During the follow-up call, I was told Aspen Dental had "no record of a deep cleaning" being performed. This statement is both misleading and concerning: At no point during my visit did either the hygienist or dentist indicate that a deep cleaning was needed. In fact, both providers specifically complimented my dental hygiene. No treatment recommendation or clinical justification for a deep cleaning was ever provided. When I challenged this inconsistency, I was told the representative was "just reading the notes," suggesting a lack of accountability or understanding of the information being communicated. This interaction raises serious concerns that Aspen Dental may be using incomplete or ambiguous records as a pretext to suggest additional, potentially unnecessary, procedures for financial gain. I request that Aspen Dental: 1. Immediately cease all misleading billing and solicitation communications directed toward me 2. Correct their records to accurately reflect my account status 3. Provide a clear explanation of why these communications occurred 4. Review and correct their internal practices to prevent similar issues affecting other patients These experiences have significantly eroded my trust in this provider and raise broader concerns about their business practices.
