My recent experience with Das Auto Carlot, particularly with the owner Mike, was extremely…read moredisappointing and stressful. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder from the lot, and almost immediately after driving off, the check engine light came on. Mike directed me to two separate shops to have the issue fixed, but neither shop was able to resolve the problem. During this time, I made it clear to Mike that I am pregnant, with children already depending on me, and I urgently needed a reliable vehicle or at least a loaner while I waited. His solution was to offer to "go half" on a rental, but even then, he cheated me out of his portion of the payment. When I realized the Nissan could not be repaired in a reasonable time, I asked for my money back. Instead of being straightforward, Mike attempted to return less than half of the $3,000 I had paid. He then tried to pressure me into taking an old Buick as a downgrade, which did not have the seating space I required for car seats. He promised that it would only be temporary until a Honda part came in, but when the part arrived, he refused to switch me into the vehicle as agreed. Mike also made unethical demands, telling me that if I wrote him two positive online reviews, he would "work something out." I refused to be manipulated into writing fake reviews in exchange for service I was already owed. I kept thorough records of our interactions--text messages and recorded phone calls--so that I would have proof of how the situation was handled. If anyone doubts this, I am willing to provide evidence directly. To make matters worse, I discovered that Das Auto was attempting to resell the Nissan Pathfinder after claiming it had been sent to auction. When I brought this up, I was immediately blocked. Shannon, another employee, was rude and unprofessional throughout the process, while Chad and Mike's brother were the only ones who attempted to handle things respectfully and fairly. Chad in particular tried to ensure I got my refund, but it was clear Mike was the one holding everything up. Mike even went as far as to hold onto a check from Credit Acceptance that was in my name, and I later learned he had opened my mail without my permission, which is illegal. Only after my lawyer contacted the bank did Mike suddenly call me and claim my check was ready. This entire ordeal was stressful, manipulative, and dishonest. If you are considering purchasing a car from Das Auto Carlot, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience showed a pattern of dishonesty, lack of accountability, and disrespect for customers' rights and needs. The only positive part of my interaction was with Chad and Mike's brother, who at least tried to do right by me. Unfortunately, the owner himself proved untrustworthy, and I would not recommend doing business with him

Was interested in a Volvo XC90. spoke to SHANNON 3 time which she had reached out to me about, said…read moreI was approved for the loan and only needed 2,000 down, I messaged back and confirmed interest in the vehicle, she began to be rude and ignorant, telling me that I was wrong and that I'd need to use that money to get a shittier car. I told her that she was at fault for not communicating to me that the 2,000 was for a lesser vehicle and was continuously being rude and swearing at me. I checked her attitude and then told me to come down to the store and see what happens when I pull up. Like who is you a car salesman "saleswoman". can't even keep a damn lead.

Update August 10, 2017…read more So it seems like my experience goes from good to bad then from bad to good and then from good to bad. So I'm going to make this my final review and stick with it... This dealership does not fix its vehicles. I've had an issue from the light bulb being out and I took it back to the dealership, waited for a good hour and all they did was reset and not change the bulb. The reset will make me believe everything is fine and nothing is wrong but they never changed the bulb but just reset and that is so bogus. Yes that really happened! I did email the general manager, Jeremy Stotler, but doubt anything is going to happen. Honestly, my time is very precious to me and I will not be returning. Telling a customer to bring the car back, is not good service. This is how they treat a customer that even took them expensive pastries from a very expensive bakery so they can fix my vehicle right, but I was wrong. My vehicle was not filled up with gas, like I was told it would be, the car was quite dirty, the light was not fixed while they told me it was, I can go on and on. I did submit a complaint to the customer service department, nobody has called me. The same time, another person that bought a vehicle from them was a little upset with the salesman because the car had a lot of problems. I heard heard her tell the other person she was with, that this is getting quite ridiculous and she's had it with the problems with her newly bought vehicle. This has been a lesson well learned and I will not be purchasing another vehicle nor do I recommend them to anybody. I will be refinancing my car very soon so I don't have to deal with them any longer.

The service department leaves a lot to be desired. Took my vehicle in on a Friday and didn't get it…read moreback till Wednesday. When I picked it up, I was told the stabilizer pins need replaced (they are under warranty), so I asked "Why not replace them now?" I was told to drive it for a week. Drove it for a week and called to get them replaced. They claim they can't get the vehicle in for two weeks.

Car buying is so stressful, but it doesn't have to be. I searched a few cars online, and made an…read moreappointment. My last vehicle was purchased here 5 years ago. Anthony greeted me when I pulled up. He was super friendly and offered to assist. We narrowed my 8 choices down and began to look at features that were important to me. They have a great selection of vehicles on the lot and even have a surplus lot down the street. I test drove two vehicles. Sam was really nice and explained my finance options. He really worked with me. Rex in finance was very nice also and explained their GAP coverage to make sure I understood. All in all, even though it was a long process, I am pleased with this experience.

By far this has been the WORST experience I have ever had dealing with repairs. So let me give you the day by day run down. Monday evening after dropping off, I called around noon, was told someone will call back; never did. Called back Monday around 4, was told again, someone will call you back; never did. Tuesday, I called first thing in the morning. Was told the parts that were being warrantied are ordered and should be fixed today, but the tech would call me first to let me know what was going on; never did. I called back around 1pm, FINALLY, talked to the tech working on my car, was told he was JUST ordering the parts, they will be in and it will be fixed Tuesday afternoon, if not Wednesday. I let it ride. WEDNESDAY. I CALLED AGAIN around noon to be told "we forgot your vehicle was here, it will be worked on immediately". I CALLED BACK AGAIN, around 3 asking to talk to a supervisor. Was told they would call me back. Guess what, THEY NEVER DID. SO NOW, THURSDAY. I called twice before 10 asking for a manager. No one could speak to me; no one will call me back. CALLED AGAIN AT NOON. Put on hold for 30 minutes, to be told the tech who was supposed to work on it called off. This has been one of the most incompetent repair shops I have ever worked with. I still really have NO IDEA what is wrong with my vehicle. There has been 0 communication, management has been dead quiet. To say I will never be coming back to this dealership is an understatement. I would say the OWNER better call me, but at this point I don't even know if the phones dial out at this point.
