First of all, don't believe this place is great because of all the 5 star reviews. When I first wrote my review here, it was pushed down my throat by the sales guy I worked with. Most of the reviews here are sales only. I was thankful that they gave me a car when my credit was bad, but the car was a lemon and their customer service is horrible! I got a 2008 Ford Escape from them with 120k miles. The car had some odd problems from the beginning, but nothing mechanical I thought at first. However 2 weeks into owning the car, my wife and I were on our way back from the airport in Chicago when the back wheel came falling off the car. LOOSE LUG NUTS. Luckily, I was able to keep control of the car throughout the process of pulling over and nobody got hurt. Rightway got a tow truck to pick the car up and we rode with him to the shop he was going to. From there, we were told that the car was going to be there for a while. That's fine, except we were stranded in Gary, Indiana, and everyone at Rightway wouldn't help us get home. Also, they wanted us to use our insurance to cover the cost of the repairs on the car! Mind you this wasn't an accident I caused. After my wife and I got a ride from a family member, we were finally home and I immediately started talking to the dealership. Their customer service was horrible. The manager was never there and they were talking about having me pay a portion of the damage. Finally after a week of back and forth talks I was able to speak to the manager. They agreed to fix the car for free, but we had to figure out our car situation until the car was fixed. Once fixed, we went to go get it only to find out they only fixed the mechanical part of the car. When the wheel came off, it messed up the panel above the wheel area. Needing the car for work, I decided to let it be and talk with Rightway later. The issue was never resolved as they would need the car for another week and i wouldn't be provided a temporary means of transportation. Then 6 weeks into owning it, the car's muffler fell out. The car had been getting louder lately, but we had no idea something like this would happen. Again, take it to the dealership, deal with their horrible service, and finally took it somewhere to get fixed. At this point I just wanted to give them this piece of crap back and go somewhere else to get a car. As time went on the car began getting louder yet again, and my wife and I knew what it was this time. Being fed up with all these issues and the way they had treated us, we were done. We let the car go and now we are worry free of that nightmare. Please stay away from them! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
