Occasionally they'll have health and beauty products to take home and test, as well. To get started, you fill out screening questionnaires online to see if qualify for any upcoming studies. If you do meet the criteria, time slots are given at the end of the survey for you choose a date and time in which to participate. Then comes the fun part. You show up, eat or drink new products and give your opinion on them. Payments are sent via email within a couple days in the form of a prepaid visa card. You can use it immediately as a virtual card or request a physical version that will be mailed to you. Sound simple enough? It is! And it's awesome!!! *UPDATE* Even if you don't qualify for studies you can still get paid for filling out screening questionnaires by earning points for each one you complete. As of now, it's 10 points per questionnaire. 100 points equals $1 with a minimum of 1000 in order to cash them out for a visa gift card. In all the years that I've been a panelist for Curion they have never missed a single payment, whether it's for participating in a study or redeeming points. Even late payments are extremely rare. My friends and family members, who are also panelists, haven't had any issues either. So, it's a real mystery to me why there are reviews (here and outside of Yelp) with complaints about payments.

His personable demeanor helped to initiate a conversation that revealed to me that he was a private investigator. At the urging of my friend, I related to David the story of my estranged nephew that I had not seen in more than 30 years and had no luck finding him. I had pretty much given up. Speaking with David reignited my desire to search for him again. As expected, David offered his services. What was unexpected was what followed. David asked me several routine questions about my relative that I was unfortunately unable to answer with any degree of certainty. For example I did not know my nephew's full birthdate, just the approximate month and year. I knew his mother's name, but not her birthdate or any previous addresses. I knew the names of two of his siblings, but nothing more. Within two days, David contacted me with positive phone number and address matches for both my nephew and his mother. I was completely blown away by the speed with which he supplied this information given the amount of information I provided him. With only a partial birthdate and a few related names, David sent me on my way with more than enough to further the search. It then became my responsibility to use the information I was provided to continue the search. Despite several of the phone numbers being disconnected (as expected), I still have sufficient information to continue the search and sustain my hope of reconnecting with my nephew soon. To say that I appreciate him would be an understatement. He is a compassionate individual with a heart of gold. He proved himself to be quite resourceful and a man of his word. He has provided me a renewed confidence that I can finally provide closure to a situation that has loomed for more than three decades. It's for these reasons that I highly recommend his services.

I am reviewing Dallas By Definition. I did read some reviews first. I saw a one star that please, was not about D by D, but that poster themselves. This is a marketing research company. They have a criterion each person matched up that each candidate must meet. If the parameters shift, it is because the company they are doing the study for changed it, not them. If the study itself is canceled by the company, that too is not on D by D. From the review, the only thing that happened is they were considered, then not. They never drove out to the building or even left their home, so they had expended zero dollars, just a couple of phone calls considering them. Why be upset? Anyway. I found out about a study that concerns me, they called, I gave them some info over the phone, they contacted me that I qualify and made me an offer. I was flexible with my schedule so I could afford to take any time slot available. I was a half hour early, parked in the correct place, when in, the office was nice and welcoming. I was greeted, offered a snack, and bottled agua. I was seen on time. I had to sign an NDA so I could not discuss the nature of the study. When it was over, I signed out, was hit with the snaps agreed upon, and was out the door within on time. The interviewer was very upfront about every aspect and what to expect. He was professional, courteous, understanding, and kind, and the whole experience was worth it. Every bit the 5 stars and maybe more. I love using Yelp. What I do not understand is why anyone would use it to settle what is obviously a grudge that has no real basis. I dealt with Steve. At no point in his phone conversation or emails did he at all mislead me or fail to give me clear guidance on the process from start to finish. What he said to expect happened to the letter. Hope all of you that took time to read my review are well, enjoying life, happiness, and see this space as an indication you are doing first world well enough that you not only can afford to spend money on goods and services, you can afford to care about the quality to the level of a rating system. Some people are just getting by and can't afford to even care how good a thing is, just that they could afford it at all.
