To say we were shocked at the inventory would be an understatement. The selection for wines, spirits and beer were phenomenal and the staff were super helpful. We ended up buying the wine we needed for a gift, six bottles for ourselves and two bottles of bourbon. Interestingly, on the way out we noticed their special, high end cabinet and they had a 72 year old bottle of Maccallan scotch in a crystal display for $139,000...pretty cool.

We had trouble deciding on which pizzas to order (they all looked delicious) but finally decided on the Red Red Vine (fire roasted grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil, & balsamic drizzle) and the Porta Bella (portabella, mushroom, spinach, roasted pepper, fresh mozzarella, & balsamic drizzle). Both were fantastic and perfectly cooked - the mushrooms were fresh (not canned, thank goodness). Also - I'm kind of a sucker for a good crust and this HAD IT ((chefs kiss)). Can't wait to come back!! As a side note -- there are two separate entrances... the front entrance is to the dining room and the back entrance is to the bar. I don't think you can access them both without going outside (but you'd have to confirm with the staff).

What takes them from a "decent" 3-star rating to 4 is that they get their hands on some amazing wines via special order. I've gotten Chiantis from the legendary 1997 vintage, cellared Napa Chardonnay, as well as some hard to get French red & white burgundies, and that was just one order hahaha. If only they could expand to showcase some of these rockstar items in inventory they'd surely be 5 stars.

There was a small buffet available with a drink included. The service was appreciated and friendly. I had everything on the buffet line except the scrambled eggs, and some sweets being served. They had fruit, chicken Francese, linguini with shrimp and clams, penne vodka, bacon, sausage links, potatoes, and French toast along with an omelet station. The fruit was inconsistent, but that sometimes with fruit I suppose. The chicken was alright, very tender, but the sauce was a little plain. The linguini was solid, just tough shrimp pieces, lots of flavor with the sauce though. The penne vodka was alright while the bacon and sausage links were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked well while the French toast was surprisingly my favorite item. It was sweet and cooked to my liking. The omelet was also pleasant as I opted for a ham, cheese, and tomato one. Will I go back? Possibly.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Milton Inn in Oak Ridge and especially Mike, the owner, and…read moreKelly, the manager, for going above and beyond for me and my girlfriend. We recently had a misunderstanding over a dish we received, and instead of brushing the situation off, Mike personally took the time to meet with me, hear me out, apologize for the entire situation, and genuinely make things right. Kelly was also incredibly helpful and professional throughout the whole process. I have to say, Mike is one of the most understanding and down-to-earth owners I've had the pleasure of dealing with. You can tell that he isn't simply there to make money--he genuinely cares about his customers, his staff, the quality of his food, and making Milton Inn feel like a family place where people can come together and enjoy a great meal at a fair price. Everyone makes mistakes and misunderstandings happen, but what really matters is how you handle them. Mike and Kelly handled ours the right way, and they absolutely earned my respect and our continued business. Thank you, Mike and Kelly, for taking the time to listen, make things right, and show us what great customer service really looks like. We'll definitely be back! 5 stars all the way!

In the past, our takeout orders came in larger round containers with plenty left over to enjoy the next day. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. The portions have noticeably shrunk. As you can see in the photo, the container holding the leftover chicken wings is tiny--only two wings fit inside--and the drunken noodles were packed in an equally small container. The portion was significantly less than what we've always received. It's disappointing to see a restaurant we have enjoyed for years reduce portion sizes while charging the same prices. If costs have increased, we'd rather see a slight price increase than feel like portions are being cut to save money. We hope this was a one-time issue because we've always enjoyed your food, but this experience was very disappointing.
