This company's compassion and quality of employees is amazing and was so comforting to myself and my brothers. My family has used Right at Home for almost a year. The agency connected us with Tiffany, an experienced caregiver who has gone above and beyond for our father who has Parkinson's disease. She treats him with concern and compassion, motivates him to exercise his body and mind, and keeps his apartment spotless. Her attentiveness is genuine, and we're able to relax more knowing that Dad has someone looking out for his best interest. Horrible company. This company lacks professionalism, communication, and has staffing issues. It's obvious there's a lack of in house training. I wouldn't entrust this company to care for my loved one. I wonder if the owner is aware of how they operate. Edited: I was asked to remove my comment to have a discussion. Screenshots in the comments. Please make sure you complete your own background check on caregivers in your home. I recently found out one of our workers had been arrested for a crime that she shouldn't have been allowed to work for the agency. Some of the reasons I posted the negative review are: 1. The company will not call to inform you the staff called in or requested off. After waiting for the staff to come in, I would find out the person was not coming thus causing mistimed of work for our family. 2. The company does not provide workers with PPE. The worker or family has to provide it. (I'm unsure if they are reporting the cost with funding agencies or tax purposes.) 3. When you voice your concern, it goes to deaf ears. They will pretend they are looking into the matter but they won't call you back. You have to continually follow up with them. 4. If your family is sick and serviced temporarily stop, they will call and check on the client. There isn't a plan of action. These are only a few of my grievances with them. read more

Horrible Company. On January 4, I had major back surgery in Baton Rouge. I made this decision after months of intense pain. Before, at the recommendation of someone I know, I hired Right At Home, a home health agency, to take care of the my post-op needs and the needs of my companion, Rita St. Amant. Rita has dementia. It maybe the worse business decision of my entire life. The following is a list of the few complaints I have against this company. On the night of January 10th, I was suffering from a severe case of Impaction. Earlier I the morning, I had to call an ambulance to go to the emergency room. That night I was expecting a helper from Right At Home to attend to the needs of my companion, Rita St. Amant. Instead I got a rude, obnoxious, obese person who made things a lot worse for me. Before she came over, a retired surgeon friend, Dr. James Wade, offered to aid me in my emergency Impaction needs. He was greeted by the Right At Home "helper" with uncooperative, rude, insulting behavior. She was a hindrance to my emergency needs. She was in the way and would not remove herself from the chair she was seated in. She ignored my request to get up. She ignored my request to leave my home. Had I not been incapacitated, I would have called the police. I'm 81 years old, and I have never experienced such rude, obnoxious and harmful behavior in all my life. While I was in Baton Rouge having my operation, Right At Home, sent overs "helpers" that asked what to do. According to my workers, Steve Carbone and Lorraine Williams, the "helpers" had no clue of their responsibilities. Steve said they said it was their first time doing such work. On several occasions, I encountered the same lack of knowledge from their "helpers". Some seemed clueless, some were destructive, some were obese, basically under qualified or unqualified personnel. See a review from Yelp on their past performance with another customer. One "helper" damaged my dishwasher by putting caked dishes in the washing machine without my knowledge. I had to have my workers try and solve the danger. One "helper" fed my cat without my knowledge or permission. My cat throws up and can only have a small amount of food. A Right At Home "helper", filled the cat food bowl, putting my cat in danger of getting very sick. Another Right At Home "helper" filled my cat's litter box with 4 lbs of cat litter. My workers had to come in and solve the problem caused by the clueless Right At Home helper. On another occasion, my workers discovered that my companion, who has dementia, bed was made and her protective wet pad left in the bed. The bed was made with the wet pad still in the dirty bed. On countless occasions, my request went ignored. I explicitly stated to Right At Home that I wanted no new personnel or trainees over for Rita because of her dementia. Yet Right At Home on countless occasions, sent over under qualified or unqualified obese "helpers". This was a source of constant frustration. My credit card was accessed and charged by Right At Home without my permission. read more
