The residents are hiding salt and spices because the food is so bland and horrible. But I digress from the nature of this story. When she needed memory care, we moved to the memory care. But it was clear that they could not give her what she needed. So I had to hire outside AIDS. But I learned from them was quite extraordinary. My mother was never allowed to finish a meal. A notoriously slow eater when she was well they wouldn't allow her to finish, they wouldn't allow the aid that I hired to help her, and when they were ready to clean up. They simply pulled her plate away from her. By the time we found a new facility and I'm saying that memory care lasted all of three months for her, she was under 100 pounds. I'm also going to take a moment to tell you that the physician who works with atria is a piece of crap. He put my mother on stool softeners and anti constipation medication. She wasn't constipated. Instead, she was literally flushing out of her system all day long. I had to find a new place for her. She died too much later. There's nothing you can tell me that doesn't lay the blame for her condition and her passing squarely at the doorstep of this facility. I have never experienced anything like this, and if I can act as a lighthouse to people to please find someplace else that's what this review is meant to do.

I have never looked forward to physical therapy before, but this place is a delightful change…read more Everyone on the staff, from the front desk to the owner-manager Alex, is sincerely friendly and completely engaged. Other PT places I've succumbed to have been marked by tension in the air because the friendliness is superficial, the smiles glued on. Or the young PT staff gave me an exercise with a number of repetitions and then huddled in the corner to talk sports and their recent weekend frolics. Not so here: I feel an improvement and where I used to go home feeling depleted and pessimistic, I walk out of RSPT feeling stronger and hopeful. And aside from the congenial atmosphere, the exercises I've been asked (very sweetly) to do make sense. I don't see other patients given identical routines: the place is more like a cheerful gathering of neighbors (for a common purpose) than a factory. I can't recommend them highly enough! ==================================================== An update. Tomorrow is my last visit of 2025, because Medicare will only cover 28 visits in a twelve-month period. My enthusiasm for this practice and the people in it has only increased. The atmosphere is friendly without artifice, not the professional friendliness of people who would really rather you go away so they can continue chatting about last night's sports event. You might not notice it if you knew me six months ago, but I feel stronger and more mobile. This is not, I assure you, because I religiously do the exercises at home. (Long pause here.) But it is because the people I work with, especially Francy, Melissa, now and again Alex, Hannah, and Annabelle, have understood what exercises might help me and have guided me through them. The pleasantness begins at the front desk: Arlinda, Madeline, Michael -- all genuinely solicitous and humane. I think they understand that people come to PT with a certain amount of pain, impairment, and the accompanying embarrassment. Because of the gentle-spirited, light-hearted owner, Alex Sherman, the feeling of uncritical welcoming acceptance is felt all through the practice. I am sad to leave -- it feels like the last day of summer camp -- but I hope to be back in 2026.

My uncle in Manhattan is getting older and needed some help. He was resistant and not really in the…read moreright frame of mind to look for someone. I'm in Maryland but he doesn't have any family nearby so I am the next best thing. I didn't know how to go about looking for someone. I called a couple of home care agencies but they were expensive and was not sure what we were getting for $25 to $27 an hour. When i looked online there were many different ways to go and I was a bit overwhelmed. So I went on Yelp which i periodically due for restaurants and such. I was surprised that LeanOnWe jumped at me. The reviews were strong and they were varied. At first I didn't realize that they were any different than the home care agencies. Then i realized that they weren't an agency but just a way for me to connect with someone that my uncle would end up hiring. Very clever. Since my uncle would be hiring the caregivers, it was meaningfully less expensive but would give us everything we were looking for. So I called up and told LeanOnWe what my uncle was dealing with, where he lives, and what he was looking for. They sent bios of 5 people who fit the bill, my uncle and i spoke to two of them on the phone and decided to hire one of them. It worked out great. What a creative way for us to manage this process. We would have been stuck otherwise. So far the woman we chose has been working for about three weeks and all is working well. It is nice knowing that if she can't make it we can always go back to LeanOnWe and find someone else. A happy customer

Unfortunately -I must give them a very negative review. I…read morehave asked them numerous times to assist me in replacing a live-in caregiver who has created a very toxic environment for us. The caregiver constantly manipulates the family against each other in order to get his way. Every time I try to replace him the agency interferes and ignores my requests even though I am the one hired them and I am the one who pays the caregiver who I dislike immensely. I should not have to be a situation where I am forced to keep a caregiver that I dislike. They don't return my phone calls and they ignore my requests to get a different caregiver. Instead of working with me to replace this caregiver who has created an extremely toxic environment, the agency will go behind my back and reach out to another family member who has very little to do with the caregiving, is easily manipulated and it results in arguments about replacing the caregiver. I don't want a caregiver who is only in it for the money and who does not have patients wellbeing in mind. I constantly have to step in and make sure the patient is being cared for. I should be allowed to replace a caregiver that I have no trust in. The caregiver should not be in charge and the agency should not be in charge. Thay have made a difficult situation even more difficult by pitting family members against each other. I dislike them immensely. Be careful
