Finding a place to do your laundry after moving to a new city is hard. It's even more challenging…read morewhen you're an American expat that knows little about your new city. I stumbled upon this place while walking down Great Western. Their prices are affordable (£3.50 per wash £1 for 10 minutea for dry) and the machines are kept clean. Isn't that half the battle? The machines work quickly as well! A was ranges from 19 - 25 minutes and the dryers usually only take 30 to dry your belongings. They also have an oversized washer (£7.50 per load) and dryer (£1 for every 6 minutes) that you can use for bedding and towels. The slowest days to go are typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the mid afternoon. If the attendant isn't using the folding table you are able to use that too for folding your laundry. Be advised that if you show up with more than 2 loads after 430p they may or may not allow you to dry them depending on how busy they are. They close at 6pm sharp. My favorite attendant is Anne and she's always eager to help. They will make change there for you, and if you forget your detergent will sell you some for £1 a load. I've never used their drycleaning services but have witnessed many happy customers do so. Overall, a cheerful place that is clean and reasonably priced!

On a particularly productive day, I decided to pop round to the local laundrette to offload some of my laundry and get a load done in one go. It was all a bit of an adventure, as I entered this weird world of washing machines that looked as if it had looked the same for the past twenty years. I did like the big industrial sized machines that allowed me to bundle in all of my bedding and towels that would have taken several cycles in my wimpy wee machine. A hassle free trip that allowed me to get a big load of washing done all in one go, all washed and dried in no time at all. I have a new love for laundry.

Something I thought would be help instead was a ridiculous hinderence.i have never reviewed anything ever before but the service was so shocking I had to warn others off in this case. DO NOT USE

I popped in and was shown to the large machine in the very back. No coins needed, he operated the machine for me and told me to come back in 50 minutes, since I was going to take it home to dry. I came back and he had popped my duvet in the dryer for a few minutes, so it wouldn't be so heavy for me to carry home! It was £7.00 for the wash, plus 50p for detergent and fabric softener. Next time I'll bring my own detergent, as theirs is heavily scented. I thought it was so nice to give it a head-start on drying in their machines. After I paid, he rolled the duvet up and put it in a plastic bag for me to carry home. I'm so pleased with this new place and the great service. There's no sign on the door, but I found the company name on some flyers inside. FYI: He quoted me £3 for the dryers.

It can easily absorb a full baths worth of water, and took 4 days to dry when I last attempted to wash it at home... Popped it in here a few months ago, and they returned a big bag of fluffy loveliness the next day. It looked like new, and at £20 including detergent and drying was great value for money compared to quotes from other local laundries.
