I popped in and was shown to the large machine in the very back. No coins needed, he operated the machine for me and told me to come back in 50 minutes, since I was going to take it home to dry. I came back and he had popped my duvet in the dryer for a few minutes, so it wouldn't be so heavy for me to carry home! It was £7.00 for the wash, plus 50p for detergent and fabric softener. Next time I'll bring my own detergent, as theirs is heavily scented. I thought it was so nice to give it a head-start on drying in their machines. After I paid, he rolled the duvet up and put it in a plastic bag for me to carry home. I'm so pleased with this new place and the great service. There's no sign on the door, but I found the company name on some flyers inside. FYI: He quoted me £3 for the dryers.

It was all a bit of an adventure, as I entered this weird world of washing machines that looked as if it had looked the same for the past twenty years. I did like the big industrial sized machines that allowed me to bundle in all of my bedding and towels that would have taken several cycles in my wimpy wee machine. Their prices are very reasonable, so maybe this is why - nowhere else in the West End have I found a cheaper deal than their 4 items drycleaned for a tenner - which includes leather and suade items, and either one dress or jacket per batch. Silk is included too - which is great when you can pay huge amounts at other drycleaners to keep your delicate items in shape (oo-er). The staff were pretty intense- to the point that I wondered if the chap who spoke to me was high on more than just life, but he was friendly and accomodating none-the-less, and very forceful in sharing the box of sweets on the counter. I had my 8 items worth of clothes back in three days, and they were perfectly clean and unstained. Although do smell a liiiittle bit like a new car... hence the 4 stars rather than 5.
