I have had issues with this Generac generator ever since the install…read more The first review was because the only repair tech. had family issues and they could not even give me a date as to when someone might show up to help repair the unit. I called a company that Generac listed as a better company and that is really a business in the state and not just claiming to be local. Still having issues and no help the other company came out andf after getting a bill for what was supposed to be a warranty repair. I paid for a 10 year extended warranty that covers parts labor and travel I received a invoice for 200 dollars which included 1.5 hours of travel. After finally getting Generac involved again the company advised that the reason it was not covered under the warranty is because this issue should have been caught and fixed in the initial installation. I once again am going to have to deal with a system that is not working properly because A Plus not only screwed up the install they could not get out here to fix their problem. Now I have to go after them for costing me to bring out someone to fix their screw up.

The motor was over 20 years old and he tried replacing some worn parts but the problem continued. (the motor would close but not open the door unless you got a stepladder and flipped a flipper type thing on the motor to a reverse position. For the past year or so this happened rarely and then this past week it was every day.) I was very impressed with the technician's knowledge and efforts. After the new garage door opener was installed he checked my door rails and found one wall attachment had a stripped screw going into the wall which he replaced. He also showed me how to lubricate the coil springs and chain so they would last longer. I recommend them highly. David H. Groves, Huntington, WV
