It is not a diploma mill, you absolutely have to do the work and can fail. If you're not a self starter and able to make constant deadlines then you may have some problems. There are good mentors and a some who fall short but it is on you to do the work. I had mentors that were very involved with the students. I had some that were less involved, most were very involved and available. Exams are proctored online and they're very strict. If you use AI on a paper or project and you will absolutely fail. They scan every paper for it. Customer service is definitely something that they could improve on. As far as mentors making their own rules (like a minimum of 250 words in a forum post) it does happen and it does make things challenging.

They have work opportunities on campus and town is nearby if they want to work in the community. They allow the kids to have their cars on campus from the first year, especially since they require the kids to get involved in a church outside of the school My daughter loves her admissions counselor, guidance counselor and her teachers. She has made a wonderful group of friends, has become involved in a church off campus and she is thriving. I think the biggest testimony to me was anytime we asked any of the students if they liked the school, they all said they loved it. The president is often the speaker at chapel and he teaches a class as well. I just can't say enough about this institution.

Whatever they do, they do well. Full disclosure- this institution has a core of Bible courses in each major helping students desiring to live and work Biblically to integrate this into all they do. In addition to having the ability to walk across a gorgeous campus, there is access to a local rail-trail. The professors, both tenured and adjuncts, at the university care about sharing their knowledge with students while encouraging class discussions. If a student needs extra help, professors go out of their way to be helpful and the tutoring center is a great resource. I found the student body to be welcoming, friendly, and passionate about learning. There are a number of student organizations on campus and activities to participate in. For example, I co-hosted a radio program on campus. There are also interesting lectures that take place on campus. I highly recommend enrolling at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

I am of course speaking in hushed, reverential tones about the Institute for Advanced Study quietly doing their think tank thing at One Einstein Way. Founded in 1930 by renown educator Abe Flexner with an endowment from the retail scions of the Bamberger family, their initial goal was to spirit away Germany's best scientists from the Third Reich and more currently, to collect and place the finest minds in science, mathematics, humanities et al, in an isolated and immersive intellectual environment - giving these true masters of the universe a place to come ponder and ruminate about research they might like to pursue without the distraction of teaching class or the publish or perish burdens of mainstream academia. Albert Einstein was their first fellow and the list of "faculty" is no less luminous to the present day. The resulting list of groundbreaking insights and awards for scholarship is beyond impressive. As far as I can tell there are no tours but the building itself is as impressively foreboding as you would expect. For whatever reason I like knowing that it's here and with all due respect, helps to keep the community college rabble at Princeton University on their toes.

But seriously, enter the area, and you'll just feel smarter, or really really stupid. But let's get to the important part - the cafeteria. The lunch here was insane for a cafeteria style place. The pork chop I was given looked like it was made in a real restaurant. The variety was quite fantastic (sandwiches, soups, desserts, etc). I'm not sure about the price though, my boss paid. I would say it wasn't that much. At least I hope so. Hey, why don't you go, pay, and tell me how much it was. Gracias!
