Should be called "Deliverance Bike Rental"…read more Went here to get a tuneup and the guy said "No tune ups today, too busy!" OK, then take down the "20 dollar tuneup!" sign out front tacked to the tree! Came the next day to rent and was told I need a bike rack to rent a bike. How many people have bike racks on their cars but don't have bikes?! I told him I was going to put it in a pickup and he agreed to rent a bike to me. I gave him my info and was just starting to secure the bike in the bed of the truck when this person came running out of the house yelling "No! No! Dad says no! Don't rent to them!" The guy said, "Sorry can't rent to you" We packed back up and left. Are you kidding? The entire process wasted 20 or so minutes. There are way better places to rent from. We ended going into Falmouth and rented from a very cool shop that was friendly and helpful and didn't have crazy attack dogs in undersized cages and odd people running out of the house shouting things. Don't go here. They crazy people.

They were ready the next day. What a nice guy - friendly and courteous. Couldn't have been nicer! I think the other reviewer forgets that this IS a business ... just as you can't drop your car off and get automatic tune-up, or stop in the doctor or attorney office and expect to be seen immediately. Also, I have always found that if you are friendly and courteous, most people are back to you. Sounds like the previous reviewer had an attitude.

I walked in showed him the fried plug and the controller that wasn't working. He grabbed all the parts off the shelves showed them to me and said no problem it should be ready tomorrow. We'll a week goes buy and he couldn't get any remote to turn on and my existing controller was missing and their were no new parts except a green plug to the remote he said he replaced. I go to pick up my bike not only is their no controller on the bike not even my original that was their. He tells me I owe him 400 which was initial quote including parts that he didn't install he just stole mine. Anywho he says I owe him 400 in labor where I was originally quoted 100. Then when I question it he yells and tells me to keep the bike. I leave w a broken bike, parts missing and according to him 400 for me Trevor plug and labor total. I tell him that's ridiculous he gets mad says fine take the bike well call it even so I did. 4 hrs later around 730pm he texts me and says he's taking me to small claims court for 500 after he said the bike was all dry and let me leave with it. I text him a week later and ask him for my parts that he took off the bike and he acts like he didn't know what I'm taking about and says he's having me arrested if I show to her the parts he stole from me and a bike he never put back together. Can't wait for civil court. Guy's name is Greg and he's a scumbag

After renting our family dangerously faulty equipment (see below), the manager responded to our polite request for a partial refund by shouting at us and aggressively demanding that we pay for the repairs. We've rented bikes from Art's for 10+ years. Art is lovely, friendly, and helpful. We always look forward to catching up with him when we rent bikes for the summer. Unfortunately, Art retired last year and his son has taken over the business and we could not have had a more different experience this summer. My daughter's family and I rented two bikes + a bike trailer to pull their 3 year old and 1 year old. I was riding with them on the bike path when the derailer on his my son in law's bike broke and the bike essentially fell apart. Fortunately, neither he nor the children were hurt. This wasn't the only piece of faulty equipment we were rented, either. The left wheel on the bike trailer was loose and wobbled. We called Art's and explained all of these issues and were promised a one-day refund (by Art's lovely grandson, who also works at the shop) for the broken equipment. When my daughter and I went to return everything, the new owner (Art's son) got incredibly aggressive and threatening with us, yelling at us and accusing us of having broken the bike, then demanding we pay for the repairs. It was a shocking and scary interaction. We love supporting family businesses and regret that we will not be supporting this one again.
