I went into this store to ask a very easy question, I wanted a "professional" to tell me if my red coral necklace was real or dyed.
They actually told me they would have to send this to GIA FOR $200. Oh my. A person can put acetone on a quetip and rub it to see if ay dye comes off. I did not want to cause harm to the item in case I wanted to send it back.
There are 2 other ways that I, a non-professional can check, 1) with a magnifying glass or tummeric oil. I have poor vision and no magnifying glass.
I have sent DIAMONDS AND EMERALDS TO GIA for a "certification," and that process cost $100.
They are lazy and they tried to even gouge me on the GIA.
